I took out a Best Buy total membership to have data retrieved from a crashed Windows 10 PC and transferred to a new Windows 11 mini PC. They called and said they could not get the data from the old hard drive and could send out and have it done for an additional $450 to $1000. I took this to a geek friend who had been on vacation when I had taken it to Best Buy. He was able to find my missing data and get it loaded onto my new pc, along with drivers to make everything work properly. So basically I wasted my time and money at Best Buy and can’t recommend. I wish they would give me back the nearly $200 cost.

We get the protection plan on everything we get from Best Buy because it always ends up paying for itself. This was just a no brained and saved us money in a short amount of time!

I like my total tech membership because of the discounts and delivery and install. But when your product gets delivered and left just inside your door you question why am I paying for this?
