Tech Nirvana: Best Buy's Total Tech Membership
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey there, fellow tech enthusiasts! I recently signed up for Best Buy's Total Tech Membership, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. The membership offers a ton of benefits, including exclusive discounts, free shipping, and access to 24/7 support for all your tech needs. Plus, you get a free in-home consultation, which was incredibly helpful for me when I was trying to upgrade my home theater system. The expert tech advisor walked me through all the different options and helped me find the perfect setup for my needs. One of the things I love most about the Total Tech Membership is the peace of mind it provides. I never have to worry about being stranded with a broken device or struggling to set up a new piece of tech. With the 24/7 support and free Geek Squad consultations, I know that help is always just a phone call away. Overall, I highly recommend signing up for Best Buy's Total Tech Membership if you're a fellow tech enthusiast who wants to stay ahead of the game. It's a small investment that pays off in spades with all the benefits and support you'll receive. Thanks, Best Buy, for being the ultimate destination for all things tech-related. You guys are the best! Sincerely, Emmanuel Clark

Uhgggg
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried to get a price match for a tv that went on sale 4 weeks after I bought it. The tv is $200 cheaper on best buy’s website. Well inside their 60 day return window. Was told when buying the total tech that if it went on sale within 60 days that they would simply refund my credit card and then recharge the card with on sale price. Instead all “their system” would let them do is give me a gift card for the $200. I just spent over $3000 updating my system and won’t need anything there for a while. Interest rates are booming and it blows my mind that they can’t do a simple return. Dirty pool Best Buy

Bought it to save money on PC servicing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought the total tech because I needed work done on my PC and it made more financial sense to get the total tech as well so the fees wouldn’t be so much. It was convenient and served its purpose for that; but I didn’t buy as much from Best Buy this year for the membership to be totally worth it, still it did serve a purpose!

Great value and service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to use a tech support service out of the Philippines. While they were always pleasant and solved many problems for me, they were sometimes hard to understand and, of course, had no in-person service. With Total Tech I have the option to bring an item into the store for service, which I have already done. In addition, I often get a U.S. based tech on the phone. Super easy to understand. Plus l like the extended warranty on products you buy there. They will even service appliances that I didn't buy at Best Buy.

Good deal, pay attention to terms
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good deal generally, but pay close attention to terms because you may be charged for repairs even on new phones. I had an A15 phone that completely quit working after 5 weeks and they wanted to charge me $100 for a repair -- when the phone was only $199 to begin with.

Foolish if you don't add TotalTech subscription
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The $200 price tag seems like a lot but if you make 2 purchases, then you have already made out. Our two purchases were TV and then a Microwave. Without Totaltech, this would have cost over $300 for the delivery, setup and hauling away. Further, the Geeksquad did an incredible job installing new TV and soundbar above my fireplace with complete courtesy and professionalism.

Good for 1 year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The membership for a total tech was great while I had it for the first year. I was able to have Geek Squad upgrade a couple of my computers ram which was really helpful.

Worth every penny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had to have techs out twice for assistance, once with a dishwasher and once with my treadmill, both purchased with Best Buy. Both experiences have been so easy! Scheduling is fast, you will receive text updates regarding appointment windows and the techs always call before en route in case you need to adjust/leave work to meet them.

Extended warranty for ALL purchases. No Brainer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This membership is a no brainer. I purchased a handheld gaming device and a regular two year warranty would have been $179. $179 would have covered a single device. Instead, I purchased TotalTech membership for $200 and it will cover all my futures purchases for two years. I have since purchased a new laptop and look forward to purchasing a new Smart Phone and Smart watch in a few months. The TotalTech membership will cover the extended warranty for all theses devices at no additional cost! TotalTech will cover any technical issues with the devices as well as accidents!

about some suggestions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I called in the middle of the night, which may have something to do with it, but I sometimes wait a long time for customer service. Also, sometimes when I'm trying to figure out how to reply, the customer service staff will automatically turn off the conversation. I understand this is for efficiency, but it makes me feel bad. Hope it can be improved, or ask if there are any questions.

We love our membership!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You never know the value of something until you need it. We don't usually get the extra warranties but we decided to get the totaltech support and I am so glad we did! Our Sony TV got about a 6 inch wide void in the panel from top to bottom. Called up sent over some photos, they sent someone out to verify the information and sent in some updates to Bestbuy then a couple of hours later I got an email confirming that my television would be replaced. Such a convenient service, couldn't have asked for smoother handling.

Great program, sorry terms are changing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had individual plans for phone, printer, etc. Was explained the benefits of Total Care. It was easy to understand. Issues were always addressed quickly and successfully. Cannot rate TotalTech since fortunately I have another year of total Care. New program seems more complicated and not as customer friendly. No recommendation is for TotalTech. Would have preferred to keep Total Care, even at higher rate. Overall rating for Total Care.

Get them Perks..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my membership. got Lot of perks recently. I am hoping to get enough to go back and purchase a Bose headphones. I can't wait!. At first I thought it would be just a way to get me to open up a Bestbuy card. But honestly I am happy that I did so. I love shopping at this store, for years I believe they still carry the best electronics , no joke. I am fifty years old, and I have been shopping here since I was 18... Perks are good in my later years. You won't be disappointed. I don't like credit cards. But as long as you pay off within 12 months you should get them perks.

Cant even do simple M2 transfer that others can
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely disappointed with my totaltech plan. Recently, my laptop stopped working. Since "data backup or transfer" and "level 1 data recovery" is part of my membership, I decided to start with Best Buy. I even removed the hard drive for them. All I wanted was for the data on my computer's hard drive to be transferred to an external hard drive (which I provided them with). Seems simple enough right? Well, a guy working the front (who didn't seem to know what he was doing), walked my hard drive to the back room. They spent about 5 minutes "testing it" and sent it back up and told me the files are "unrecoverable". I left the store and didn't have a good feeling that they actually took the time to try or took me seriously. So I took the hard drive to CPR (cell phone repair) for a 2nd opinion. Within the day they were able to SUCCESSFULY transfer all of my files to the external hard drive. So much for the files being "unrecoverable". I asked the CPR tech if he did anything special to recover the files or what he used to transfer them. He told he didn't have to do anything to recover and used an M.2 enclosure. He actually recommended if I ever needed to do this again in the future, he would recommend getting my own online (since it is cheaper). THAT IS ALL THEY NEEDED TO FIX THE PROBLEM...a simple M.2 enclosure. How best buy couldn't do this transfer is beyond me. A representative from the store actually called yesterday to follow up on the service. I told him about my experience and all he said was "well thank you for this information, we need to check our M.2 to make sure it is functioning properly". Well... that doesn't help the $140 I had to spend at CPR for services that BEST BUY should've been able to provide under my totaltech. So much for paying $200 a year. I am in the medical field and can't imagine saying to a patient, "oh sorry, I guess my equipment didn't function properly". The entire experience made me feel like I was being blown off, and turns out I was right, that it was a simple fix. Obviously I will not be renewing if they can't even perform a simple data transfer. I've spent thousands of dollars at best buy and will be purchasing tech elsewhere moving forward

Great idea
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to signing up for the Totaltech™ membership, I had purchased two items from Best Buy, one with their insurance and one without. It turned out that both items needed replacements for different reasons. Dealing with the item covered by Best Buy insurance was a breeze, but the other one was more challenging. Now that I have the Totaltech™ membership, I no longer have to worry about remembering whether I have insurance or not. It has simplified my experience and provides peace of mind knowing that I'm covered for any future purchases.

Total Tech a must or not?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Total tech is a recommended purchase so that you can get longer warranty times for product purchased but when something actually breaks, I found it just a little effort to get service. Maybe it was just that one time fluke but I think I’m still a bit salty about my appointment being messed up. But overall I would recommend the service.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased my washing machine, a Samsung. So far it’s working great I just wish it was a lil bigger 4.5 cubic ft for a family of six. The only issue I have is that I was trying to get a 5 year warranty but it charged me for 1 year for 193. Personally that was too expensive in my opinion so I asked for a refund which they did give.
