I left my ibuypower computer for repair in 12/2025. They initially told me that it was hard drive problem and could be fixed with a new one in couple days. They also said data could be saved from "corrupted hard drive". I did not hear anything from them afterwards. I called Iowa city best buy number but phone call always gets directed to a some call center in philippines I guess and distant customer agent told me technician would call me once the repairs were completed despite I told them website was showing order "completed". 2 weeks later I got connected to call center in Phillipines but I insisted on speaking to local geek squad member. They said it was ready to pick up. I went to pick up and tech said he installed new hard drive and could not save data from previous hard drive (which was ok because I was not expecting them to salvage the previous data). Nothing was informed me about if new windows was installed or not. Took computer to home and noticed no windows software was installed. I took computer to local computer tech and guy told me old hard drive was working well except an SSD card problem. They also said new hard drive was not installed correctly since screws were not placed well it was dangling. Finally this misinformation and redundant hard drive from best buy geek squad cost me 180 dollars plus tax and 2 separate trips to Iowa city.

Great service and provides peace of mind. However, the online schedule--not so much. I made an appointment and when I arrived at the store, my name was not on the list. Apparently, I should have received a message needing confirmation--I didn't see it. Thankfully, I was taken care of.

This membership is already worth it's cost. They have already repaired 2 laptops in just the short time since I have purchased this plan.

The Geek Squad is worth the price. Computers do crazy things and it's good to have a bunch of kids practically "on staff" to fix them.

Comfort knowing my grandaughter has. Small price to pay for knowing her computer is protected.

I renewed my Total tech membership. Positive points: They did not raise the price. You still get free shipping on most things. You get special pricing on some items. You are allowed 60- day return period for most items! % off for repairs, geek squad will do a lot for free like check your computers, & help you will problems. That is why I continue to keep total tech. As long as they do not start cutting benefits, I am happy. But sadly, they no longer include Web root antivirus anymore.

This Membership is a great value. Membership, unlimited Geek Squad tech support from great people that are very helpful and knowable. Anytime and anywhere there is a Best Buy store. Love it, gives me peace of mind that there is help is needed at a great price.

I laughed at the Best Buy totaltech membership when I first learned of it. But when I looked closer and noticed that it in fact includes GENUINE AppleCare with all Apple items purchased, I was sold. It would cost more to buy AppleCare separately if I were to get the protection without the membership. I tend to buy several Apple items each year including an iPhone, MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. I often skipped the extended warranty due to price. The membership now makes it an included part of the the purchase so as long as I renew my BB tt membership. And yeah, it also goes without saying that everything you buy includes an extra year of warranty and often with accidental coverage including drones and camera gimbals, both of which I ended up buying from BB. Those items are more prone to being damaged in use and I am thrilled that I am now covered. Plus I ended up getting free installation on several pieces of home appliances as well, which I would have otherwise had to pay for out of pocket for my home. If you want to maximize the membership, I'd recommend you buy all your items within a small timeframe so that they all get the same coverage when you buy and new your BB tt membership.

I haven't needed to use the membership for device protection, but it's nice to know I have it.
