This is the worst membership I have ever bought.

The employee ordered us the tv and signed us up for the total tech care, but did not even input the correct services for us to get our frame tv mounted on the wall. They failed to order the correct parts for it. Then the people who mounted the tv to the wall finished and literally said, “ I don’t think this will hold up and it might fall.” THEN LEAVES WITHOUT EVEN DOING ANYTHING ELSE. Not to mention the tech care people scratched our newly restained hard wood floors leaving huge scratches. The employee also failed to mention that we would need specific wires and such for our tv to be mounted and to hide the wires in the wall. I then go back into best buy and return certain equipment for the in wall installation and was recommended ONCE AGAIN the wrong equipment to get our tv wires hidden. We then get a geek squad member to come in to get our services finished but he proceeds to tell us that he cannot do anything because he came by himself. This is literally the worst customer experience I have ever had. I never want to buy anything or work with Best Buy after this horrendous experience. I also asked for a refund for the membership but they then proceed to tell me that I would get charged for trying to cancel and get my money back. The absolute worst experience i’ve ever had.

Renewel issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not had to use the services yet, but purchased because I work remotely and never know when I may need something replaced or fixed. I came up for my renewal on 3/17, but did not have the money on the card to renew so it declined. I went into my account today to update the renewal and it has been a nightmare. I kept getting error messages even though the money is in my account. I contacted a rep through chat and advised that the money is pending in my account, but they separated the charges for my Antivirus and Totaltech membership, so it is a charge of $5 and another for $194, but it is still stating my plan is not active. The rep stated I would need to contact the Totaltech line. When I called the rep told me I needed to call my bank because it needed to be authorized, which I knew to not be the issue. I called my bank and was told that it is pending so it is authorized. While this is going on I get an email from Best Buy stating payment was a success for the antivirus, but not for my Totaltech membership. I called Best Buy back and they stated the same as the previous rep, but now I have an extra $5 coming out of my account. They keep telling me they can try to run payment again, but I told them that was not happening as the money is already out of my account and pending. This makes me very weary if I end up needing help with something in the future. If a simple thing like renewing membership is so difficult, how will it be when I need help with something? I am now stuck in a waiting game to see if the charges post and also waiting to hear from someone as my case was escalated.

Posted .Renewals can be difficult and it is interesting as I had gone through the same issues myself. We are lenient on the renewal not going through at times and will help with fixing issues that can occur. Using your Best Buy Credit Card can not only allow you to pay it off slowly, but you would also be able to get points and not worry about not having the money available in your account.
