Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jason is top-notch, He qand his team were not only helpful, knowledgable, and professional, Jason truly cares about his customers to the point where he personally followed up with me the the next day. Though my situation is still unresolved, i feel he did the absolute best he could to help me. Right now, I dont have an appointment to complete my refrigerator until June 2nd. That is what the third party company told me yesterday. It has not been working since April 26. I am truly looking at over six weeks of not hving a working refrigerator. I was told that I now need a new compressor. But seriously, I do really appreciate Jason.

Worth Every Cent to Me

The service has saved me on a couple of occasions, and the technicians are always pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions. One time I had a technician who could not help out with all the computer problems I was having, but he tried very hard. As a positive remark, I mentioned it in a review, and the manager of the store telephoned me and inquired as to whether he could send someone else. TotalTech has been worth every cent that it cost me to become a TotalTech customer.

New Sony 55" Bravia TV install

Purchased 55" Sony Bravia, soundbar, installation, mounting devices, extra service for mounting in non-sheet rock, and total membership. Install went well (tho not given serial #) onto fireplace wall. Tech helped install Hulu, connected to router, showed basic functions of remote which seemed to work. Install yesterday. Today problems with attempting to record (and with an already recorded new show) and navigate - spent hours on phone with Hulu (x3), as thought that was the issue. During work with Hulu we discovered (after power off, unplug/replug for reboot) that the remote didn't seem to work properly. Clicking on the Hulu app for example, returned TV to its default screen - no longer opening Hulu although it did so yesterday. Called late (10 pm) Geeksquad only takes calls daytime; do chat - find out next Thurs (1 wk after install) is first day available for appointment. Asked if I felt comfortable coming in to store - no: I use a cane, am 86, couldn't get TV off brick wall or move it to back of truck - only available vehicle now - have no box or packing to put TV into. A dilemma. Personnel have all been pleasant; TV itself is very nice and what I expected; the business system apparently isn't designed to handle the occasional malfunction of new equipment quickly. Or maybe my expectations are unduly high.

This covers everything--- and I mean everything that you need--- it is well worth the price because of this. I recommend if you have a big project coming up or have a lot of tech, you should look into getting this!

Beware if you cancel!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this membership is good to have if you anticipate having a lot of problems or need help from Geek Squad frequently. I had it for a year but haven't really used it much, so I cancelled. Unfortunately, despite receiving a cancellation confirmation, they never refunded the money they took from my card, so now I have to dispute it with my credit card. They're supposed to refund immediately.

HUGE decline in service over the years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We've had Total Tech for several years, before it was called Total Tech and had always been happy. Part of the reason we purchased is because we are about 50 miles from a B.B. store, so the home help was great. That now only has a 20% discount instead of being included as a benefit. The last two times I tried online help, they could not access my computer. They didn't know why. Aren't they the experts? This morning I spoke with SIX different people (to get to three agents). At least the last agent told me I would have to take it in to a store after just a short time. The first two messed around for over 1.5 hours, only to both cut me off, and neither called back or reconnected. The second one messaged that he was trying to call back but could not get through. I gave him a second number, and also received calls on both phones within 15 minutes of him telling me that. I don't believe he could not get through. I think it was better for him to record that, than to say he could not help. Total time with having to go through the sign-in process all over again, three times, was almost THREE hours of my morning - to have nothing resolved. Total Tech is definitely not worth it anymore, and as soon as my extended warranty runs out on our washer and dryer, we will be canceling, if not before. I haven't read the fine print, but guessing there is some additional charge for that too, if we should need it, and it would probably be just as easy/inexpensive to get local repair. Not sure about that, but with all the other changes, it's my assumption. The past few years, Total Tech only disappoints. From $99/year when we started to $179/year now, and way, way fewer benefits. I used to tell everyone about it and that they should purchase. Now I would never recommend it.
