    Horrible for its worth

    When i needed to see why my pc and graphic card XFX RX 580 8GB which i got from them..kept black screening the fans of the card kept reving up like a jet engine then shuts off. I had to pay $100usd to look at it then wont fix it because the other parts was from Amazon. When i got refunded i only got .53 cents back from BEST BUY TOTALTECH

    Will not be renewing Membership

    TOTALTECH IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE. Some keys were sticking on my DELL laptop. The tech "cleaned" it and said they can't do more because the "membrane" is corroded. I asked what that meant -My DELL is only 3 yrs old-He said "You use it too much" WT? Keys still stick and he "removed" my "Quick Access" files on Explorer

    Charged me for yearly subscription

    I bought a computer 3 years ago and I got an email that my bank account was overdrawn because Best Buy charged me for a yearly subscription for 195.00 which I never authorized. For the past 3 days I was on the phone with Best Buy and my bank. I had only 75.00 in my account before this happened to go grocery shopping and I couldn't. Took 3 days to get my bank account back because of Best Buy. How sneaky of them!

    Not Worth the Membership

    This membership is absolutely NOT worth it. It took me over an hour to even get my issue addressed. Originally I was told a tech couldn't come out for 4 days. Which that in itself was unacceptable. Finally they were able to get someone to come out to help just for the tech to tell me I had to call the manufacturer. Worse experience and I would NOT recommend this membership at all. No resolution and not worth the money.

    I bought a large purchase and bought the total tech plan. i was told today no more home visits and the plan details have changed. No refund. This is fraud. Taking customers money and then not doing what the plan said. good bye Best Buy, never again

    I love shopping and even browsing at Best Buy here in Eau Claire Wisconsin. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have had them out my house to help in my theater room and my new bar.

    Worth the price in the long run

    The membership is really valuable and provides you with services at a discounted price. Especially when it comes to install and technology. Instead of paying $200+ you may pay anywhere near $50- 100 but the price varies depend on what you getting fix or install

    I think it's too expensive for an annual subscription. The benefits are good, but a more affordable $100 a year would probably bring in more customers.

    Appliance Extended Warranty Coverage

    Easy and quick to get appointment for repairs needed. Good contacts made to keep me advised of the process and followup repair time. Repair and parts covered on my stove extended warranty. Well worth the coverage.

    Horrible customer service to book home appointment

    This program has changed drastically over the years. I am a total tech support member and after 30minutes with an agent trying to schedule an in home appointment for home theatre issue with a Logitech remote, he will not schedule and appointment. I have been on hold now for 50 minutes waiting for his supervisor. This agent is not based in the United States and is struggling lying to book an appointment. Horrible customer service .

    Tech savvy they are not

    I spoke with Wayne and was told that an appointment was scheduled for a refrigerator repair. I even received multiple text messages saying that it was scheduled & confirmed. No one showed up. I sat at my house for 12 hours and nothing. When I called the reps were patronizing and NOT helpful. Don’t waste your money.

    Stripped down completely and no longer worth it

    Almost every year they strip away key benefits that made this membership worth it. Now they've stripped it away even further and most of the time nobody knows what to do at the stores or geek squad making this even worse. Support online is "Go to the store", the store is "call totaltech we dont stock or do that" and you run around like an idiot. Completely not worth it anymore.

    Horrible experience - I tried to have TV mounting services. They canceled on me 4 times. Each time they would cancel I'd have to spend time on the phone with customer service & rescheduling for weeks later when the technician would cancel on me again. Do not recommend.

    Getting protection on purchases has always been a comfort on not having to worry if appliance breaks down. Hoping don't have to call, but know if do -- that Geek Totaltech will take care of the problem.

    I would give them 0 stars if possible. Agent Andrea was very rude when I told her the previous remote session didn’t resolve my issue. When I called back I read the error message to her, and they still didn’t have a resolution for me. I won’t be shopping at Best Buy anymore…service has really taken a plunge

    Simple Delivery and Install: Failure

    the first delivery was awful. It was a fridge. They didnt put the front feet down to level and secure it. They told me when you put food in, it will weight it down. Too funny. I thought he was kidding when he said it. When I challenged them on it, they said something under their breath and left. The worse part is when I contacted Best Buy, they couldn't get anybody else out to help for at least 6 days. I did it myself. 6 minute job. Yes, not a lot time, but what did i pay for? 6 days to fix their mistake. As you can tell, this membership is all talking points. It was just a fridge. Could you imagine something complicated? Hopefully, they have a rating system for their delivery drivers, but I highly doubt it. The delivery guys seems practiced at their excuses not to complete the job. oh, they require to select at least 1 star for the review.

    The Worst of the Worst!!

    I have had many problems with Best Buy's Total Tech Service. On July 7th I requested service form Total Tech, disconnect and relocate a washer and dryer. Everything went smoothly and the team came in and did what had to be done. We needed part two of the service which was relocate and reconnect the washer and dryer back to the laundry room. We called on 7/11/2022 and requested to relocate and reconnect the washer and dryer back into the laundry room. A technician was sent (Kenny) along with another person. He called the day before to let me know that they were coming on Thursday 7/14/2022 to do the work. I explained over the phone what we needed for him to do since he wasn't sure. He came to the house on 7/14 to relocate and reconnect the washer and dryer. He immediately told me that he was from the repair team and that he was not going to be able to relocate and reconnect the washer, he supposedly called his manager. He left with the intention of promise to come back in the afternoon to bring someone else to do the work. He called be around 12:00 pm that day to tell me that he was going to be in the house at 1:00 PM. I was far from home but managed to get home at 1:00 pm to make sure I was home when he got there. He arrived at around 1:30 PM, brought another person and the three of them were looking at the washer and dryer, without a word they just left. We created another order to have someone come into our house because the first team did not do the work. The order was created to relocate and reconnect the washer and Saturday 7/16 was the day that was assigned to have a team come to our home. Kenny calls me on Friday and tells me that he is the one coming to the house to reconnect the washer and dryer. He expressed that the order that was placed was incorrect and that he had to correct it. On Saturday Kenny shows up without equipment or tools to relocate and connect the washer and dryer and asked me for a blanket and pads to put under the washer and dryer in order to move it. They detached the dryer from the washer (since they were stacked) and relocated the equipment two feet from where it was originally. They informed us then that they were done, I asked why they were not connecting the washer and dryer and he said we are only relocating the washer and dryer and that's it. He told us that we needed to connect them. In the process of relocating the washer and dryer, Kenny and his team member damaged our washer in three areas and made a huge mess with paper towels that he had asked us to give him. They left the dirty paper towels on top of the dining room table. At this point, I contacted Total Tech again and spoke to a Customer Rep named Martin who wasn't any better than the technicians that came to our house. He was condescending and disrespectful, he wanted to create another order for us because the last order as he said was created incorrectly. So now this is the 4th time that we a technician has come to our house and the orders created were either created wrong or the technicians that they sent were not the right ones. Martin created a new order for 7/19. We explained that we have been without a washer and dryer since July 7th so we need the washer and dryer connections. So even though Best Buy messed up the orders and sent the wrong technicians we still had to call to create another order for relocation and connection. We asked to speak to a manager and Martin told us that we couldn't speak to a manager, that there wasn't a manager available. Meanwhile he had us online documenting the issue and told us that he would put the information on the notes so that a manager would call us within an hour. We waited and waited on the phone more than an hour because he had told us to hold. We waited on the phone for more than an hour before we hung up. When we hung up Martin called us again and told us that we would receive a call from the manager within an hour but we never did. Total Tech is a total disaster, they should change their name. Our appointment now is for 7/19 and I am hoping and praying that they do it right this time, meanwhile, I filed a claim for the damages to my washer which is a very expensive one. Find another Protection Plan that will respect your home, your property and you.

    I only learned that I had "purchased" this when I got a renewal reminder or other notice and "canceled" and got about a $10 refund. Didn't notice it slipped into a cart with a holiday order. Assuming it was one of the add-ons in the cart process. Will think again before ordering from Best Buy.

    This used to be a valuable service but no longer. I have spent 1.5 hours on the phone and in various chat sessions and I either get hung up on (and no one calls back - don't know why they bother asking for contact #) and I get different story with each person I communicate with. Problem not resolved.
