    Was Hopeful But So Far Disappointed

    I purchased the BB Totaltech plan for 199.99 when I ordered a wine fridge, think I would be able to get installation and haul away for an old trash compactor it was replacing. Couldn't get those services when placing my order, was told to call the Geek Squad number after my order was completed. The entire process of placing my order and finding out why I couldn't schedule installation involved a 1 hour chat session with multiple people. Called the support number the next day to schedule installation, but the estimated hold time was 59 minutes. Hung up and called back next day, hold was less than 15 min, but after speaking to someone who sounded like she would be able to help me, was disconnected after she put me on hold for the second time to look for scheduling dates. Since they have my cell number, I was hopeful she'd call me back so I wouldn't have to go through the whole process all over again, but it's been 15 minutes with no call back. Will probably end up cancelling the membership if it's this difficult to use.

    The online customer service is complete incompetent. Don’t bother wasting your time, they literally cannot comprehend basic English. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen

    Called the "concierge" line was told I could get my phone fixed in store the next day. False, store then refused to offer store credit for a new device. Contemplating filing a fraud claim with my credit card company

    Possibly the worst service in the world. Countless phone calls, reschedules, canceled orders by mistake, people not showing up and poor execution by their subcontractors.

    I bought the total tech membership because I was getting new appliances for my kitchen. One of the appliances was an open box dishwasher that was missing the kick plate and insulation blanket. Not a big deal at all because everything else looked brand new. During installation, the installer calls me over and shows me that the dishwasher door is damaged. I'm thinking, "no problem! I ponied up the $200 for the tech membership exactly for situations like this". So I contact customer service through the app and explain the situation and to my delight, they say they'll fix it and proceed to schedule an appointment for me. I'm thrilled at how easy and quickly they resolved my issue... until I'm not. They sent over a home theater installation crew to fix my dishwasher. The home theater guys were just as confused as I was as to why they're on a dishwasher call and proceed to tell me to contact customer service again because they don't know anything about dishwashers. So after contacting customer service again, they say of course they'll fix it and I just need to talk to someone in a store. I go to a store and talk to someone (for a third time now) and they tell me they can't do anything about it. That they have to call the exact same number the customers do to get help. So now I've driven 30 minutes to the closest store just to be calling the same number I'd been dialing from home. Only this time when I call, they aren't willing to replace anything. I said I'd be fine with a door replacement or even just a refund of the cost of new door. They offered me a $100 refund (the replacement door is $280). As someone who has spent close to $15,000 at Best Buy over the last year, I really expected more and will be walking away as an incredibly dissatisfied customer and will strongly urge friends and family to avoid giving this store their patronage.

      Appliances can be tricky and the Dishwasher would be able to be repaired under the protection plan as long as the problem isn't just cosmetic. Open Box appliances can be tricky as they can be more damaged then expected or get damaged while being delivered/installed.     Total Tech membership is great to have however there are limitations I wasn’t aware of. There was miscommunication between sending delivery team to install instead of geek squad team. I had 3 visits until the issue was solved by 3rd party.

    I had a repair man named Shane com and repair my dishwasher. He did a great job. He was supposed to come back around a month ago to fix my refrigerator, But I can't get ahold of him. Could you please help?

    Poor and ineffective Customer service

    So far I am very disappointed with the membership. I purchased the membership thinking that I would get after hour technical support. The agent connected to my computer. I was told that the issue would be resolved in 2 hours. I was passed on to another customer service agent who did not respond. I called in and went through the lengthy process of connecting to an agent twice. The After-hours Geek Squad is giving the in-store Geek Squad a bad name, What a disappointment! Agent Kaustav gave me the impression that he was working on my software. He ended the session without sending me a notification of the status. I have documented the interaction and will be asking for a refund.

      Having an online service agent work on an issue can be difficult as losing connection to the Geek Squad agent can cause disappointment.     Not worth the hassle.

    This is a poor service. I bought a TV a month ago and received a free install due to purchasing Total Tech prior. A month later (yesterday) I bought a sound bar mount for the TV they installed a month ago and they charged me $155.00 for 'TV connect and mount'. I called the Total Tech support to ask why I got charged and they said for the installation. I was so confused as I thought that was part of the Total Tech package when I looked up what they covered. They kept saying I had to add it when I bought it?? Still confused. I was on hold and got disconnected. Initially i was on chat and they ended the chat all of a sudden. Not sure what I paid for when I purchased Total Tech.
