Disappointed

I try to get everything through them because they used to do a good job. I had this total tech thing when I started purchasing large items because of the installation convenience and the extended warranty. I had poor experience multiple times with best buy since then. One of the examples, I bought a TV and was waiting anxiously for the installation day I was given. I called the total tech line and checked at the physical store and confirmed the appointment probably 2 or 3 times ahead of the installation day. I had a large gathering the day after and I needed that TV to be in place. I was told everything looks good. The day of installation, I waited for 8 hours and then nobody showed up. I called during these 8 hours multiple times, and the total tech agent would say "it is on the way sir, I can see it was placed on the truck bla bla bla". Eventually, nobody showed up. I was told later that there was an error with their system showing my name on the delivery list, where in fact it wasn't there. I drove to the store. They said they couldn't do anything. They apologized for disconnect between the total tech agents and what was actually happening on the ground. I asked for them to fix this problem and give another installation day soon, but they said they had no spots and I had to wait for few more weeks. Another example occurred recently when they were supposed to return 100 dollars as rewards back to my account. I spent a lot of time with multiple total tech agents over 2-3 week period. Each agent would acknowledge at the end that I should get the rewards points back, and then nothing shows up in my account. I would contact them again. After wasting the time trying to explain the issue all over again to the next agent, They would promise me it they will take care of it, nothing happens. They definitely need to do a better job.

Over priced services for minimum devices :(

They sound as if this is a favor to you to cover a multitude of devices in home. That's great for those that have a family with many pcs/tablets, etc. What about those that have only 2 devices. Why do we have to pay a very high price for what we don't use? It's just like cable, pay for all the channels you don't use or aren't even aware of. It's an underhanded price gouge. We were very long time members (10+), now we aren't :( The Denmarks

Total waste of money.

Don't plan to use it for immediate purchases

When you see the "Purchase is currently limited to members with access to the event" note and gullibly follow the path to the Totaltech purchase pages, NOWHERE is it indicated that there is a waiting period for your membership to be activated (or some similar process). Meanwhile, while you watch your $200 disappear into the Best Buy coffers you may also watch while the touted special access to said product vanishes in parallel with the limited inventory.
