Might not be the best for kids, they probably won't take the heat but it works for me. Zap the spot as soon as you start to feel the itch. It's not immediate relief but it definitely knocks down the duration of the itch.

I would buy again and give as gifts to ADULTS. It hurts like you are being burned on the bite. But with that said, it removed the itch (I had to repeat the process twice). The swelling went down to what would normally be the 5 day mark after the bite and the itch would still be there. I tried a hand full of ointments and none of them reduced the swelling and did nothing for the painful itch. The bite to be completely gone was normal time for me (about two weeks) but without the painful itch. I would not subject this to kids unless they really would rather deal with the 3 or 6 seconds burn (not the kind that leaves a mark/scar) than the painful itch and scar if they end up scratching. I used it on my legs and arms. Those flying bugs love me. I bought two. One for the house and one for my car as it works best using it as soon as you get the bite. It's too early to comment on the Quality, but the Value and Ease of use are Excellent.

I love this thing. It works great, especially well the quicker after a bite you use it. It does hurt/burn a bit but one for a few seconds and when you take it off it’s over. And no more itch!

I purchased the Beurer Insect Bite Healer in white, and it’s been pretty helpful for dealing with itching and swelling from bug bites. It works quickly and provides noticeable relief. However, after repeated use, it feels like the effectiveness fades slightly. That said, it’s still a convenient and easy-to-use device. For the price, I think it’s a solid product that does the job well enough. Would recommend for minor insect bites.

We live in Georgia where we have ravenous mosquitoes. I had no idea a product like this existed. Gave it a try and happy with the results! Gets a little warm, but that’s exactly what’s needed to break down mosquito saliva just under our skin. This product is a must for summers!

My EXPERIENCE with the unit. I bought the unit fully expecting I would be taking it back to the store. I am 58 years, and nothing before using the beurer has ever worked. For some reason, this year is the worst for me with insect bites, the itching ( I kid you not), lasts over a week. The unit was part of a “daily deal” and I felt I had nothing to loose “trying it”’. Yesterday’s walk, I technically do not know, if I had an alergic reaction of something touching my skin, as i was walking in a field, or if it was insect bites. My skin had started to itch (I didn’t scratch), I knew if ever there was a time to test the unit, it was at that moment. Maiden test run. The beirer insect bite healer, was still in the mailer packaging, I quickly opened everything up, installed the bateries. I turned on the unit, After putting the unit on my itchy spot, i pressed the button on top. My unit stops heating up after 5 seconds, to which I removed unit from ichy spot (yes, I did feel a burn pain, but was bearable). I used on every spot that itched. Interesting observation: it’s the next day, I do not see any red spots, or other discoloration where my itchy spots were. However, my last week itchy spots, are still healing, i visually see where they are, but cannot see where my itchy spots were from last nites walking in the field. Not only did the unit work at removing the itch, it prevented the itchy area from getting the awful red spots. In closing, I am a real product user, I am the real purchaser of the unit and I am also going to “gift” another unit to my daughter (ordering after I complete this review). If your unit doesn’t work for you, I would check to see if you put the batteries in backwards, or perhaps the unit became defected during shipment. I am happily surprised at the effectiveness, and highly thrilled that my unit worked better than I hoped. I have no idea if I am being compensated for my review in the future. I am just passionate over how well my unit worked for me, a former doubting Thomas. Bonus thought. This unit will be saving me, not just from irritation , but money, as well… I no longer have the need for buying additional products to treat the itch, like buying antibiotic creams, anti itch creams, and concealers that help hide the redness that bites usually get.

We have a problem with mosquitoes where we live. Bought this without much expectation, but am pleasantly surprised at its effectiveness in reducing the itching of the bites! I don't think I have noticed the swelling in the bites going away, but the itching definitely does. It is very simple to use! The one complaint I would have is how small the heating plate is. You need to be pretty precise. But this is a minor thing and hasn't caused any issues. As other reviews have mentioned, it does get pretty hot. Depending on what part of the body you apply it, will depend on how much that may bother you. But it does have a 3 second option (as opposed to 6 seconds) for more sensitive skin.

I was unsure about this device, but for the price thought I'd try it out. It really works! It gets quite hot, but only briefly. It stops the itching instantly. For really bad bug bites, I might have to place it on the bite two or three times...but after that it stops itching. It got to hot for my 8 year old, so I don't recommend it for kids.

When mosquitos bite me, and they DO, A LOT, the bite area swells up to the size of a silver dollar coin and itches beyond belief. I once scratched a bite to the point of getting infected. That was really unpleasant and took quite a while to heal. I have tried all the usual remedies, including the topical analgesics and antihistamine based solutions. They offered varying degrees of relief, albeit temporary, at best. This device, however, actually works and works well. I bought it on sale and had reward points which made it a no brainer to purchase. It does what it claims it will do, and it does so painlessly and easily. I can sit on my deck in the evenings once again.

I am allergic to bites, which swell a lot. If I use the Bite Healer right away, the bug bites disappear like magic. If you wait or aren’t able to use right away in order to kill the “poison” before it penetrates; than you may need to use the 6 second setting, or do more than once on the 3 second setting. For those sensitive to pain, you will definitely feel the burn, but its just a couple of seconds, well worth it for instant relief!

The Breuer insect bite healer is probably the best investment I've made in years! It is truly worth it's weight in gold. I purchased the Breuer because a friend said I should try it because it worked for him. I had a mosquito bite that was driving me crazy so I decided to try it on that one bite. The relief I got was immediate. It did sting a little when I tried it on the bite but it was well worth it. The relief lasted for hours. I immediately went online and purchased a few. One for myself and two for family members. They too were amazed with how well the insect bit reliever worked. What a great product!

I haven't got a mosquito bite yet but my wife did and I tried it on her. Result was it worked but she said it burned a little but no itch. She won't let me try it again on her but I'm willing to try it if I do get bitten. 2 settings but a little tricky to set.

I have to start by saying I have been seriously needing a solution to bug bites. My landlord has mot done anything about the mosquito infestation in our home. Its so bad we have to completely cover ourselves in several blankets just to sleep. This makes it tough to breathe well. Even when i use the restroom, as soon as I remove my knickers, a swarm of mosquitoes start having a feeding frenzy on my funky bits. Its a nghtmare! But now my life has changed completely! I almost dont even mind getting bit whatsoever because this device works so well. Yes it gets really hot and burns sensitive areas to the touch... but to be honest i think I'm digging t.

It doesn't cure bite, of course, but instantly provides relief from itching and is easy to use. Beats having to use lotions when not convenient. A real game changer.

Bite healer works incredibly well. The design is perfect, it's small and lightweight, battery lasts forever, super simple to use. I don't see a way to improve this device.

It does work. Got this at tail end of the summer but used on some mosquito bites. It does have a little pinch when using it but certainly relieved the itching and seemed to help recovery. I’d recommend it.

Great small and easy to use only alittle painful in sensitive areas. Reduces the itching and swelling from a week to two days.

This is the modern replacement for the old hot spoon on a bite trick. It does hurt but the momentary pain removes days of itching. Less itching means it heals quicker. I like it.

I unfortunately had the opportunity to use the Beurer Insect Bite Healer soon after purchased on some ant bites. The ones that were treated did not itch as much or got inflamed as would normally occur. I retreated the following day, and I must say this episode was an improvement from my previous experiences with ant bites. I was amazed that it worked so well.

This device is made with quality parts and doesn’t look/feel cheap at all. As others have said, it can be painful. I would recommend using the treatment for sensitive skin first to test out the device in different areas of your body since it uses heat, and it can hurt! Using the normal treatment on my forearm was fine because it was barely painful at all. On the other hand, when I used it on my thigh, i had to opt for the sensitive treatment and clench my teeth because it was a lot more painful than the arm. One more thing that I love about this thing is how easy it is to carry around. I can put it in all my pcckets because it’s smaller than my phone, and is only like 3 inches long!
