Very disappointing game. I was expecting so much more from this instead of repetitiveness

I picked this game up shortly after release due to my enjoyment of Skyrim. I do enjoy the game, but it is... definitely not Skyrim level. The game has a pretty amusing sense of humor but I can definitely tell it'd be hit or miss for most people. There's a... narrating buddy of sorts in the game. Sort of a Navi from Legend of Zelda with less direction and way more narration. I enjoy them, but mercifully for those that don't like that sort of thing it can be turned off. A lot of the reviews mention that the melee is bad. I'm playing through with a spell-casting character (the game has its own terminology for it but that's basically what it is), so I don't have any opinion on close combat as I fight from a distance due to my build. There's a bit of a learning curve that might frustrate some and the combat is definitely not what you'd call in depth. Its a cute and fun game, but it definitely feels like some team's first game or an average indie with triple A graphics. I enjoy it, but I definitely can't rate it more than average. I wouldn't recommend it to what I think of a "typical" gamer, but if I knew a person's specific interests and gaming niches I might. I'd recommend it for myself, at least! I do recommend waiting until the price drops though. I'd be hard pressed to consider this a $60 game. I'd recommend waiting until at least $40, preferably $30 (or less), to pick it up. Thankfully its a Playstation game so price drops are pretty likely at some point! PS - I will say I appreciate being able to make my furry protagonist ridiculous colors. Mine is pink and white and I have no regrets. Who needs camouflage? They're also ugly-cute and I love them.

Make a second one. This was fun. Well worth it. It’s fun.
