Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with BioShock Infinite's captivating gameplay and storyline, praising the immersive environment and unique setting. Many also highlighted the game's excellent sound design and weaponry. While some found the difficulty level to be somewhat easy and the save points infrequent, the positive feedback on other aspects largely outweighs these criticisms.

    A Fantastic Game

At first, I'm not going to lie, I was worried. I hadn't followed the game through much of development since some of the earlier reveals a few years back, and I was glad that I was out of the loop, because I didn't know what to expect as the game moved on. I reckon most of you guys reading this either know the rest or don't want spoilers, so I'll move on to the details. I wasn't sure what to think of the decisions you make earlier in the game. It doesn't feel like you're affecting the outcome of the game deeply, and the fact that, while great, Booker has dialog and a full backstory, removing a good lot of the RPG element present in the original Bioshocks. However, there is a much richer universe to Columbia than there is to Rapture. While both games have their respective atmospheres, I found that the more pleasant appeal of Columbia furthered a sort of moral ambiguity that increased as the game went on. But above all, the fact that society is still very much intact in the game removes some of the scarcity challenge present in Rapture, making the gameplay seem easier. But all that aside, this game is pretty nice. Enjoy!

This game is truly amazing. Blew my expectations out of the water. This is the first bioshock I have played, so I can't compare it to the others but I am a huge fan. I was debating on whether or not I would like the story, the fact that it was single player but ended up getting it anyway and was not disappointed! Great story, totally immersive game play. I don't want it to end. Buy this game!

    Great Game for any Gamer

This game is a very good one to jump into. You don't need to play the original two beforehand because this is a standalone game that rarely checks itself into the other universe. Its ideas and themes are similar, but again its not a required playthrough. Bioshock Infinite has what every game strives for. Great gameplay combined with a great story contained in a rich environment that strives to be the best. Your casual gamer will love it for the quick pace and excellent gamepaly, but the hardcore fan will enjoy it for the amount of detail that went into creating this world. It has an ending that while it may confuse you at first, winds up coming with heavy thought. I recommend you buy this as soon as you get the chance too.

Fantastic game, best story I've seen in years

This game is an absolute artistic masterpiece. I can guarantee you will enjoy every second of it. My recommendation is to sit down when you have no obligations and just play through it. It's not too long, and it pulls you in, like reading a good book. I played through on Easy my first time, which I would highly recommend, as the gameplay was fun but not frustrating and I could focus more on the story. Now I'm almost done with my second time through, this time on 1999 Mode, which is challenging but still a blast. The areas and enemies are varied enough that using strategic tactics (and a little help from Elizabeth) can get you through, and makes the challenge all the more rewarding.

You'll like it if you liked BioShock 1

If you liked BioShock 1, you should like BioShock Infinite. The core of the gameplay(guns+vigors) is nearly identical to the guns/plasmids gameplay from BioShock 1. The environment of the world in Infinite is fleshed out as well as Rapture was in the previous game. Unfortunately, the same random vending machines show up around every corner like in BioShock 1 and break the immersion a bit. Some of the boss type creatures can be frustrating, but rewarding to kill. Their spacing within the storyline seems odd though. They appear at seemingly random points that vary in difficulty. There's not a smooth ramp of harder and harder fights like you might expect. The most unique thing about the game, the skylines, didn't prove to be as much a factor as I expected. They don't appear all the frequently, and so don't add too much to the overall gameplay. But when they are available, they add a welcome alternative to the regular run n' gun approach. Overall, a fun ride, but there's only limited appeal in replaying the game after beating it the first time.

I bought Bioshock Infinite when it was only $30 and it was fun for awhile but I actually ended up getting bored with it. It didnt have the same sort of suspense as the original Bioshock and Bioshock 2 did. I feel like they rushed this game a bit too and thats disappointing. Played it once, beat it once and thats about it. Dont really remember much of the story except that the ending sucked. Gameplay was great though!

My favorite game in a long time. Great story, sound, action, and graphics. It did seem a little too short - but that may because I liked it so much.

    Game of the Year!

I had no doubts that this game from the great Irrational Games would be nothing less but magnificent. The story is wonderful. I couldn't wait to get further to get another piece of the puzzle. It comes together beautifully. It WILL keep you guessing right up until the end. I can't wait or another playthrough. The combat is equally satisfying. The combos you can make from the different vigors and weapons are varied. Each vigor and weapon can be upgraded a few times. All in all, Bioshock Infinite is a definite runner up for Game of the Year in my opinion.

Game for Bioshock fans, and newbies alike!

I waited in excitement for this game for a long time, through all of the push backs of release, and tried really hard to not have much fore knowledge about the games story ahead of time. This made for a much more enjoyable gaming experience overall. Since the previous two Bioshock titles were based in similar worlds, with a connecting storyline I was expecting for Infinite to have a thread of coherence to that end. I am not disappointed or overly happy that there wasn't any such connection, rather indifferent really, because the game can stand on its own and be just as ground breaking and driven as the other two titles. The creepy elements were still present. The story was awesome. I did get a little frustrated with the two weapon restriction, I think the restriction in of itself is great and challenges players to be more aware of the environment, however only two was highly frustrating given that not all weapons were available in every area. Especially in my first play through I didn't know what was in front of me, and at points in the game there is no going back to previous areas. Without a way to re-acquire weapons I had already upgraded in a new area, and only being able to carry two at a time made for some frustration. Heck I wouldn't have minded one of the numerous vending machines to carry basic weapons for a fee just to that the gamer could have access to the myriad of weapons available in Columbia. Overall however, I find the game an achievement, and can't wait to see what they come up with for the DLC.

I have played the other 2 Bioshock games and this 3rd title doesn't disappoint. I love the graphics and music of this game they go along with a excellent story line. To me is the best person shooter made, in a age of call of duty and battlefield games that people mostly buy them for their multiplayer value and don't even bother to play the campaign, I consider Bioshock as a "smart" first person shooter.

Incredible game! Definitely the best Bioshock of the series so far. The gameplay mechanics were much improved over the previous 2 games. 2K games has done a fantastic job of creating a compelling story-line for the Bioshock series, and this game is no different. The game difficulty settings offer a high level of customization that doesn't just give enemies exorbitant amounts of health and strength, which makes for entertaining and rewarding play while also remaining fun for any type of gamer. The only complaint that I have is that the sound quality was a bit lacking while playing with a gaming headset on. The character voice audio was awful. The sound quality was very tinny, with nothing done to round out the sound and make it sound fuller. Even with changing audio settings for 20 minutes in-game as well as on my headset, I could never get it to sound right. I realize I'm being very picky, but that's what it took to complain about this game at all. Now stop reading this and just go buy the game already!

I'm not a big fan of fps games usually but everyone told me to play it. Bioshock Infinite was such a great game that I didn't have any aversion to it being an fps. I was so immersed in the atmosphere that I had chills the whole time I was playing it. Storyline is great and I had such a fun time playing it. Seriously, pick up this game and play it!

Infinite takes great gameplay and immerse you in an amazing story set in Columbia. I was never much of a Bioshock fan but thought the gameplay was good. The addition of a NPC that explores with you helps add some depth to the story. Must buy.

Simply put, if you enjoy video games and a terrific story to back it up, look no further. I was immersed into the world of Columbia from the get go, and was glued to my TV until I finished the game. The amount of detail put into the world and story is just insane. Even if you're not a big fan of first person shooter games, do yourself a favor and play this game on the easiest difficulty to just experience the story of Bioshock: Infinite.

This game is amazing. The graphics are so crisp. The game play is smooth. The third installment did not let me down at all. I like the addition of Elizabeth and how you can utilize her at critical points during the game. The only thing that I can honestly say let me down was being constrained to only 2 weapons and 2 vigors at a time. In the previous installments, you had everything at your disposal. But this is really minor. I can't wait until the DLC comes out!

    Erase The Debt

Half way through playing this game I thought it was pretty darn good. upon completion its is without doubt the greatest game I have ever played and I'm concerned it will never be topped. The storyline and relationship between Booker and Elizabeth tugs and pulls at the heart strings to the point where i was truly concerned for Elizabeths safety. The graphics that were put into making the stunning city in the sky "Columbia" was other worldly especially when travailing via skylines. The new Vigors are amazing and great to use which also show another side of the stunning graphics. But the greatest part of this game was the ending... It's been three days since I have beaten it and my gut and mind still feel off from how perfect and crazy this ending was. This was the most perfect piece of art I have ever witnessed. 5/5
