Customers are saying

Customers admire the CrossWave Max's cleaning performance and ease of use, frequently praising its cordless design and lightweight build. However, some users point to shorter-than-expected battery life and a price point that may be considered high by some. Concerns were also raised regarding occasional suction issues and streaking on certain floor types.

Great for basic upkeep, large issues may be a bit much as the soft bristles collect stuff until it rinses so you can find yourself spreading the mess a bit. No hose which is a minor inconvenience but it cleans edges quite well. The best part about it is how well its designed. Everything comes apart and clicks together easily. If you clean up something gross like pet pee or milk the entire thing can be deconstructed and cleaned. No weird belts and random screws and fear of ruining it. Just click it back into place and good as new. Best Multi purpose vaccum Ive ever owned

I love my bissell! Has really done me well with having 2 big dogs and a back yard full of dirt that they track in! I did have an initial issue, having had so much dirt on that me floors at first I had to go over them twice, and rinse out the roller multiple times before I got a streak free clean. But I did use it again the next day and had no streaks! I think they were just so dirty the first time, that it was inevitable to have streaks. My only true issue is that I have all tile floors, and it didn’t get into the grout as well as I had hoped. Battery life is great, I overall am very happy with it, and will use it everyday to ensure my floors are sparkly clean. I also really enjoy that you can take apart so many things, to rinse it out and keep everything clean after each use!

Being a family with a toddler and pets without a doubt equals dirty floors on a regular basis. Up until the Bissell CrossWave Max was introduced, we were sweeping and/or vacuuming the tile and hardwoods, then using an older steamer to finish the job. This takes time, as there are multiple steps involved. The CrossWave Max has essentially cut this process in half. Plus there are no cords to worry about making it even quicker. SETUP: I was actually surprised at just how easy the initial setup was. The base and handle simply snap together, its as easy as that. Again, there is no cord to worry about and I cannot stress just how awesome that is. Since there is no cord involved, you will have to charge the battery before first use. The docking base also comes in two pieces, it is a bit thin and flimsy, but is just as easy to put together and requires no tools. Once you find the spot where you will store the unit, slide it onto the base and plug it in. While it is charging, go to the App store (works with both iOS and Android) and download the intuitive Bissell Connect App. This will enable you to setup your Max and get it ready to roll. You know you are living in a smart device world of tech when your floorcare products use WiFi to communicate with your devices for firmware updates. Crazy stuff! After downloading the App and creating an account, the App did its thing and prompted me the whole way through the updating process. The whole unboxing, assembly, and setup process was very easy and only took me about 15 minutes. USING THE CROSSWAVE: Not to sound like a broken record, but not having a cord to deal with is HUGE. The unit uses a Lithium-Ion battery that claims about 30 minutes of cleaning time before needing to be recharged. I find this plenty of time for my home. I mainly use this on tile and hardwood floors and it is very easy to maneuver. The specs state that it is 11.5 lbs and to me, that is much lighter than the average full size vacuum. One of, if not the coolest feature (besides being cordless) is the fact that you do not need to pre-vacuum before using. BIG bonus! If you drop some food on the floor, be it dry food, or even cereal, you can grab this from the dock, vacuum the food and clean the floor at the same time. Simply awesome! The box also includes four starter bottles of solution. You fill the solution tank with water to the water line, then add some solution to the top of the solution line to mix. The other tank catches all of the used solution from the floor, as well as the mess you are cleaning up. There are two settings for releasing the solution, one for hard floors, and one for carpet (the latter releasing more solution). To release the solution, you simply pull the trigger, then let go when you want to make a second pass to dry. I have found in my use that you will still have some solution on the floor (even after a few passes) that will need to dry so take that into consideration. The roller seems to clean well, but if there are any extremely dried or ground in spots, you may have to hover over them to get them to break free. I have also noticed that the vacuum picks up better when pulling the unit back as opposed to pushing it forward. Edge cleaning / suction isn’t the best, but with all of the other fantastic features the CrossWave gives you, these small issues do not bother me at all. Once your floors are clean, you simply empty the dirty water tank, dock the unit to charge, hit the self clean button, remove the roller to dry on the included rack, and you are good to go for the next spill. All in all, this is a fantastic floorcare product that saves a lot of time and for that I highly recommend you take a look! PROS: Cordless Vacuums and wet cleans all at once Main unit build quality is solid and lightweight WiFi syncs with your devices for updates App tracks your cleaning history and give tips and troubleshooting advice CONS: Dried and ground in spots require a little extra attention Suction works much better pulling as opposed to pushing Edge suction could be a tad better The docking base is very thin and flimsy plastic

I have been pleasantly surprised at just how well the Bissell CrossWave Max performs - far better than when using the usual mop and bucket (just spreading dirty water around) or Swifter Wet Jet (which was fine for quick clean-ups, but always streak-prone). I was a little skeptical paying that much for an "electric mop", but I'm convinced It was a wise investment considering the time and effort that will be saved - not to mention better results. My only concern was the relatively short running time - 15 to 20 minutes - but that really hasn't been an issue (I just don't try to clean all of the floors at one time). Very pleased with the purchase.

Let me start by saying I am a very clean person. I steam cleaned my kitchen and bathroom tile weekly with a steam Swiffer and bleach spray. Swept/vacuumed/spot cleaned throughout the week. No shoes in the house, wipe the dogs paws first - you get the picture. I bought this for the 2in1 function to save me some time cleaning each week. After one pass with this machine the dirty water reservoir turned so black and vile I literally gagged and had to turn away while emptying it. It was like this vacuum sucked up some black murky demon that was living in my kitchen floor and exorcised it with sanitizer. I was in horrified shock thinking about how despite my best efforts my floors were apparently still deep rooted in filth. I wish I had the forethought to take a picture but I was a little traumatized. Love that it vacuums and mops at the same time. I could have made a wig with the amount of loose hair it excavated from some unknown crevice. The self cleaning function is also very lovely as after seeing the dark energy I poured out of the reservoir I don't think I could have washed the roller myself. Small and light, charges fairly quickly, stands quietly in the corner until it's called to battle again. 10/10 would recommend.

After doing some research I had to get this. It easily moves throughout your house and cleans very well on any floor surface. I don’t think my floors have ever looked better. The Crosswave is simple to clean and maintain and I’ve had zero issues with it. I couldn’t imagine going back to a mop and bucket. This is the future of vacuum/mopping

Great little machine! Tried the corded version but the cord kept getting in the way. Switched to this cordless version and love everything about it! Only one little issue with my machine - the fill container leaks if the cap isn’t on just so. My guess it’s a one-off issue and not an issue across the line. I’m going to call HQ and request a new container... as this was never an issue with the corded option I previously had. Lastly, I have a large home with wood floors in all 3 levels - this has actually made cleaning a snap and almost fun! Most definitely would buy again!

It is a great wet/dry vacuum cleaner. We have two black labs and it cuts down my cleaning from having to vacuum the floors then go back and wipe them down. This lets me do it all at once. I was hesitant about the battery only lasting 30 mins but we have 3,000 sq ft hard flooring and it last the entire time. The only thing I don't like is when it runs out of battery wish there was a way to add another battery. Also it is better then last model with base boards but wish could get closer but otherwise a great machine.

Bissell Crosswave Max Wt/Dry Cordless vacuum is very easy to use. It takes very little time to clean the tile floors and cleans itself after cleaning our floors. It takes the drudge work out of cleaning the floors. I recommend the cordless unit above the corded one as it is easier to use.

My first vaccine was defective and leaving a puddle of water. I exchanged it and the new one has been working fine without problems. However, the vacuum has a small bin and rapidly gets full of water. It cleans with water well but cleaning with water is more time consuming than just vacuuming. As a result, I would have liked to see more battery life because as is, I cannot clean my entire house on one charge, if I do, it is usually rushed and seems rushed.
