I have used many carpet cleaning machines over the years and the Bissell JetScrub is my absolute favorite. The first thing I noticed was the relatively light weight. I was skeptical as I thought it couldn't possibly do a good job with it being so light. I was completely wrong! The very first use it pulled up a stain from my living room rug where my aging dog had decided to do his business. After a couple of quick passes (on the speed clean setting) the stain was completely gone and the rug was dry within 20 minutes. I moved upstairs to tackle a stain in my daughter's "hangout" room, this time using the deep clean function. This particular stain had been there for some time but had been covered with a piece of furniture and I had forgotten about it. When we recently renovated the room and moved the furniture, it was visible again. While not completely gone, the JetScrub made the stain far less noticeable. A couple of days later, some friends dropped in to show off their new puppy. Of course, she decided my rug looked like a great place to relieve herself. I immediately pulled out the JetScrub and within a couple of minutes there was no sign of what she had done. y friends were so impressed, they borrowed my machine to try it out, then went and got their own! The cord is plenty long enough to clean all but the largest of rooms without having to unplug. Cleanup after use is a breeze and the included storage tray makes sure you don't end up with wet spots where you don't want them when you are done using it. The cleaning head is not excessively wide which means you can get it into places others can't go. It is very maneuverable and much quieter than others I have used. I am so impressed with this machine I will be ordering the hard floor brush roller and nozzle so I can use it on my tile and hardwood and do away with my mop!

This was very easy to set-up and get up and running. I only had to attach the handle and it was ready to go. It came with a little shampoo sample which was great to test out the carpet cleaner. The instructions were easy to follow so that made my life easy. I added the water and then the cleaning solution and started on my floor. It cleaned up the area I was working on very well. I did pretreat the area by spraying solution on the carpet first and let it sit for a few minutes and then started the machine. It cleaned that area of my carpet very nicely. I could see the difference between the surrounding color and the color of the carpet where I actually cleaned. It made a huge difference. I really didn't think it would make a huge difference because the spray has a very small spout so I was skeptical it would make any difference, but I was wrong. When I was done using it, I was able to rinse out the bin easily which was great. I also love the cleaning tray that you can put the machine on, add water to it and turn it on to rinse out the machine. It was also very easy to detach the roller to clean and rinse that off. It came with a little clean brush to clean the roller and remove any thing that was caught on it. I would def recommend this product.

BISSELL® JetScrub™ Pet Lightweight Upright Carpet Cleaner in Sparkle Silver and Disco Teal Color for pet mess cleanup. It is lightweight (under 14 pounds), compact and easy to grab, easy to carry up or down stairs, and to store thanks to an internal collapsing handle (that has electronic touch controls). It also comes with a compact storage tray that protects flooring from moisture when not in use. It is great for cleaning rugs and small carpeted areas, for instance cabins, condos and apartments, while an additional head can be purchased for hard surface floors. The LED headlights are bright enough to see stains that are almost invisible or in hard-to-reach spaces. It incorporates the CleanShot pretreater that uses PET PRO OXY Urine Eliminator to get rid of both odor and stains. The PowerBrush roller (XL DirtLifter) has more bristle tufts than competitive lightweight upright carpet cleaners. Carpets dry in about 30 minutes when using JetScrub Pet’s Express Clean Mode. Clean-up after use is simple, fast and not messy. Your purchase helps save pets through the BISSELL Pet Foundation while making pet messes and odors disappear.

The first impressions are overall very good. The unit was easy to assemble, just having to snap the grip onto the handle. The handle extends for use, and retracts for storage, which is a nice touch. We just got new carpet less than a year ago, and the cleaner managed to pump in clean water and suck out water that was black with dirt, so it apparently works well. It comes with a trial size of pet cleaning formula that proved successful. Really, the only problem was that the cleaner choked on our deep-pile throw carpet. However, this one rug can even manage to choke the beater bar of a regular vacuum cleaner, so I won’t hold that against it. The head is a bit small to comfortably do a very large area at once (but it can indeed do that if you wish), but it is ideal for spot cleaning of pet “accidents.” Really, the only minus for it is that it includes a rinse tray and some sort of clean-out tool. These are barely mentioned as existing in the manual, with no explanation of what you are supposed to do with them.

The Bissell Jet Scrub Pet is a reduced-size carpet extraction machine designed to clean small areas and pet messes, another cleaner in bissell’s pet floor care line. Unboxing is straight forward, everything is well packed with cardboard filler pieces and plastic bags. Once removed, you have to insert the top handle into the main unit until it snaps. Also in the box is a drip/cleaning tray, a nozzle cleaning wand and a sample bottle of Pet Oxy cleaning solution. Using the Jet Scrub is as simple as filling the solution bottle to the line with hot tap water, topping it off to the top line with cleaning solution, choosing your cleaning mode, either “Express Clean” or “Deep Clean”, pulling the trigger and cleaning your carpet. The difference in the modes is the amount of cleaning solution delivered when you pull the trigger. Bissel says using the Express mode, carpets will dry in about 30 minutes. I’ve found this to be pretty accurate. Using Deep Cleaning mode took an additional 15-30 minutes depending on the carpet. The smell of the included pet oxy solution is bold while you are cleaning and dissipates quickly and it did remove the urine odor from the carpet. I was satisfied with the results. The Jet Scrub has an option to dispense additional fluid from a nozzle on the top of the unit for heavier stains. This shot out like a squirt gun rather than a spray, making it a bit difficult to cover the whole spot easily. The other thing I noticed was the delivery of cleaning solution takes place through a series of openings rather than fan-like sprays I’ve seen with other devices, relying more on the brush roll to distribute the solution deep into and across the carpet fibers rather than with the force of a higher pressure spray. Not knocking the cleaner, just an observation. The rotating brush has stiff bristles and really gets deep into the carpet fibers, leaving nice visible rows on my carpet. Cleaning the machine once you’ve finished is simple and straightforward. Use the drip/cleaning tray to clean the nozzle by setting the unit on the tray, turning it on and adding water to the tray in the place marked, the machine will suck up the clean water, cleaning out the nozzle. If you have a blockage, use the included wand to clear it out. The top brush cover snaps off and the brush roll snaps out to be placed in the tray for drying and storage. Dump and rinse the collection container and rinse out the solution container. I really like the Jet Scrub for quick pickup of spills and pet messes, however, I was disappointed that the only solution markings are for a full tank. It would have been nice to have half fill lines as well. The other miss is the collection tank only holds about half a tank of cleaning solution before the safety shut-off engages so you have to empty it multiple times to go through a full tank. To judge how much area this unit will clean, a 5x7 area rug took a full tank of cleaning solution and required emptying the collection tank twice using the deep clean mode and the 4-pass method described in the manual. This method is two passes, one up, one back while you are applying cleaning solution followed by two passes of just vacuum to extract the liquid. The Bissell Jet Scrub Pet is a nice machine and worked great for what it was designed for. It's compact size makes it easy to use and store. While it could be used to clean whole house carpets, you will become frustrated emptying the collection bin and refilling the cleaning solution bottle. I gave it four stars due to the lack of partial tank markings and the squirtgun design of applying additional cleaning solution to heavy stains. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I'll start by saying that this is a great Little carpet cleaner. Compact, light weight, powerful suction and works well. I am so happy with this little machine! I used to have one of those big carpet shampooers that are so very heavy. This little cleaner is so much lighter, it is hard to believe what a great job it does! The carpet looks amazingly clean. The machine is so light it is very easy to handle and I did not need anyone's help. This light weight little beauty is perfect. It stores easily in a closet - takes up less room than my vacuum cleaner. The first time I used it, I was able to get out stains that I couldn't remove with hand held spot removers. It cleans well. In fact, I did my entire living room and was amazed (and a little bit disgusted) at how dirty the carpet was. For the living room, I had to refill the container three times and empty the dirty container three times. Neither holds that much but I didn't expect it to. Larger rug shampooers would take up too much space. So keep that in mind. If you need a carpet shampooer for a whole house, you would be better off with a full size one. For my purposes, this does the job. Pros: 1. If you have builder grade carpet the type that pulls up fluff ever time you brush your hand against it or vacuum. The space between the front nozzle and brush is wide enough that it doesn't get clogged up. 2. Easy to assemble and lightweight enough to carry upstairs. Lightweight also makes it possible for people with back pain and neck pain to use it. 3. Easy to fill with solution and empty the dirty water. 4. Great for apartment dwellers compact doesn't take up much space. 5. It leaves the carpet very close to dry and the separate "dirty" tank is easy to remove, empty, and rinse. Some tips: - After using, I suggest pouring a bit of water on a tile or linoleum floor and using this device to suck it up. What this does is cleans out hair and dirt and other disgusting things from the inside which will prevent it from getting clogged and losing suction. - Always empty and rinse out the dirty water bin very well immediately after using and empty out any unused clean water from the bottle. This prevents a hard buildup of grime in the dirty water container that would cause the device to smell and be hard to clean. Removing unused clean water prevents leaking while in storage. - Always rinse out the brush area well immediately after use! Get as much hair and dirt out as possible. Leaving it disgusting means the device could smell the next time you use it on your carpet and that nastiness is going to get on/in your carpet. Caked up hair and other stuff will eventually ruin your bristles and stop the brush from rotating. - Always clean up solids before using this device. Don't use it to clean vomit and poop messes unless you have already picked up all the solid gunk. This device is to clean stains and pick up liquid...not chunks of vomit and poop. If you don't cleanup solids beforehand it will inevitably clog up the inside of your device and the solids will likely be spread around the room. This machine has exceeded my expectations and perfectly fit my needs! I would definitely recommend it.

For a quick cleanup after a small accident, this is a great carpet cleaner. In a pinch this is okay to clean a entire room. Why do i say in a pinch for a entire room? You control the application of the cleaning solution. This is great to clean small areas or decent size accidents. I like having the control, but when I was first started using, it took a little getting use to. I am use to a full sized carpet cleaner that dispenses when going forward and sucks up the water on the back stroke. The carpet was a little damp after cleaning, but that can be expected. I ended up going over a few times to suck the water up a little better. Cleaning the cleaner is a breeze. There is a cleaning tool that took a minute to figure out. And a tray you can run clean water through to clean from inside the cleaning/storage tray. There are enough nice adds that I wanted to rate higher, but I just feel a 4 star is the right rating overall.

Great carpet cleaner for smaller jobs

This is a wonderful carpet cleaner for smaller jobs. It is just slightly smaller and lighter than my upright Dyson vacuum, which was actually surprising to me. I am used to carpet cleaners being much larger. The small size does not hinder it's cleaning ability at all however. It still has enough power to really get those tough dirt and stains out of the carpet. It's small size really makes it easy to maneuver, unlike full size cleaners. And setup is also a little bit simpler. With full size cleaners, you have full size tanks, which can be awkward, and sometimes complicated to get set up. This one makes it really easy, with a small tank you can fill up right in the kitchen sink, and there are markings that let you know exactly where to fill up the water and solution to. It's all very simple and easy to understand. One last thing I really like about the size of this cleaner is that it makes it easy to just do one room, or a couple of area rugs and not waste a bunch of water or cleaning solution. With a full size cleaner, I always had to either do the entire house, or waste a bunch of water and solution. So I actually find myself cleaning my carpets just a bit more frequently now that I can do it in smaller bursts. All that being said, this really is just a cleaner for smaller jobs like area rugs or small rooms. If you have a lot of carpet and like to do it all at once, this isn't the right cleaner for you. You'll have to fill the tank multiple times, and the width of the cleaner is so small that it will take you probably twice as long to clean each room. In conclusion, this is the perfect cleaner for you if you need something for small jobs like area rugs and small rooms. It's easy to set up and use, and does a great job cleaning the carpet. However, go for a full size cleaner if you have a lot of carpet in your house and like to clean it all at once.

This carpet cleaner is one of the lighter ones that I have ever used, but cleaned up several old stains from our pup with zero issues! This replaced an older one that we had and we are very happy with it. It has removed odors as well from a rug that we had in the garage due to the smell. If you are looking for an afforable carpet cleaner that removes tough pet stains this is the one you want!

The Bissell Jet Scrub is an easy-to-use, lightweight carpet cleaner. It does a great job cleaning carpet and maneuvers easily. It's self-propelled allowing it to move effortlessly around the room. includes a button for an extra "burst" of solution for tough problem areas. It's simple to remove the pieces for cleaning when finished and is a convenient, compact shampooer. It even has a retractable handle so it takes up even less space. Although it didn't claim to be a vacuum, I had hoped it would also work as one prior to shampooing - no such luck. I still have to use a vacuum prior to shampooing. Maybe they should work on this! Works great and I recommend it. As an added bonus, I found out that Bissell has a Pet Foundation that they support!
