This thing does not heat water or produce steam. It is more or less a mist than steam. I can literally hold my hand up to the "steam" with no burning/scalding issues. It is only as warm as the water you put in it. The "steam" also only comes in about three second bursts. You can buy something comparable to this thing on Amazon for like $40-50 bucks. Returning this thing.
