Very easy to set up and get going. It comes with only two brushes which is ok and a hose self cleaning tool. I used it to clean my couch and I must say it did a pretty good job. Only wish the suction was a bit more powerful, the reason for 4 stars. I would have given 4.5 but can't round up. Other than that small drawback this until did a real decent job. If you have pets, this would be a real winner!! Clean up was very quick and easy. I am certain I will get a lot of use out of this item. I do recommend.

The Bissell Pro Handheld cleaner is a great option for hard to get carpet stains that regular size Bissell cleaners cant get to. With 7 different tip attachments it can reach any place, any corner, and you can use it on your car as well (Yay!!) - Setup is very easy and well explained and takes less than a minute. - It has 2 water containers, one for clean hot water, and one for the dirty water. - it comes with a tester Bissell formula, and you can buy any Bissell carpet cleaning formula and use it with it. - The hose is very sturdy, yet flexible and I am sure it will last long. - Holding the machine is easy and well designed with its compact size that wont let it be in the way. - Power cord is 15 feet and its long enough to reach hard to reach spots, or again (use it in your CAR) - I used it for a few stains that were caused on our light colored carpet by our cats (yes, they eat like little monsters and vomit a lot). some of the stains were a bit old since we cant whip the regular size bissell carpet cleaner every week and it did clean them all! - it even sucked so much invisible cat hair which made me go ahead and use the regular size one for a deep clean for the rest of the carpets. - cleaning it is easy, empty the left over clean water from the clean water tank, then empty the dirty water tank and rinse it. Dry everything up and store back in the box. the hose comes with a self cleaning mechanism which i found very helpful. I truly recommend this little monster for anyone who has hard to reach areas, or a small apartment, or even for your car or furniture.

I have used my large carpet cleaner for many years but it is very large and heavy so this is a great addition to be able to use on a few areas when needed. Great size, cord length is ok because I am only using is for small jobs. We used it to clean one of our car’s upholstery and it worked well. It is also great for cat vomit stains that were not fully lifted when hand cleaned. We normally do not wear shoes in the house, but I do love to use it on the stairs – cleans the traffic dust and dirt when my son runs up to his room with sneaks on. Great for the high traffic area from the kitchen to the family room and the hallway area. Good suction but had to go over the area again to get more water out/extracted. I let the area sit with a fan going in the direction just to help it dry faster. Also, very nice for my hallway rug and front door rug – tons of dirt cleaned. Great for my sons closet where he throws all his sneakers in one area – huge difference and better smell! Perfect little size to store in my hall closet for easy access – the large one gets hauled to the basement! I also used it on the chair that my cat has taken over and claimed as his – got much hair and dander out that the regular vacuum didn’t. However, my cat wasn’t happy that it took so long to dry. Assembly was very easy, nice instructions, and cleaning the machine when finished is easy but the tank doesn’t dry completely for about 2 days of sitting out. Very nice addition to our carpet cleaning closet!

    Carpet looks better now

I've always used carpet cleaner with a rag so figured I would upgrade to a device that was actually meant to take care of these messes. I started testing this thing almost immediately after receiving as I have quite a bit of messes... I mean testing areas. So how did it do? Well I was able to remove all but one stain from my carpets. I was able to remove colored marker, food/drink stains, dirt, and who knows what else from my off-white carpet. Honestly the one stain it couldn't get out I really didn't expect it to. But it did help make it look a bit less noticeable. I also used it in my vehicles upholstery and floors. It made my carpets look like new in there. So I would say this ended up being a pretty big success. I found for older stains if you first spraying the spot and leaving it for a min or two worked better than just going over it immediately. Really what it comes down to is the cleaning solution with scrubbing. Each of the two extensions have sturdy red bristles and the key to getting out the set in stains is using them to scrub. Also if you lift the main device off the floor while your using it you will get more suction power as the vents are at the bottom. I found that the large water line was able to do a lot of cleaning so if you only have a few small spots, you will only need to use fill to the first water line. If you have a lot of cleaning to do or if your cleaning vehicles, use the larger water fill line. Pros: Small enough that it can fit on a shelf easily Comes with two cleaning attachments The stair attachment has three different built in options Comes with a trial bottle of cleaning solution which can be used multiple times Does a great job of cleaning small and large spots Vacuum has a lot of suction Cord is pretty long Cons: Dirty water tank hole could be bigger for emptying and rinsing out A bit noisy when running In all its a very handy and useful tool to add to my arsenal. Does a great job. If you have pets or kids and have carpet I feel like this is a must.

I had high hopes for this product after dirt was tracked in and stained my entry rug. This machine certainly pulled out some dirt, but was not as strong as I had hoped.

What a mighty little [green] machine! Initially, with all the pieces in the box, took a minute to figure out how to put everything together. The initial instructions on the handle did not help at all, but the user guide did the trick. I tested out it's cleaning power on some red dirty, greasy kitchen rugs. The cleaning process was very easy. The sprayer misted the cleaning solution in a very efficient manner and the suction power using the tough stain tool sucked it all up. Once the rugs dried completely, I was able to see that the rugs were clean again. I forgot how the red color was more bright when we first bought them. The other thing I really like was the hydrorinse tool. What a great idea. I've had a similar spot cleaning machine before, and I always felt like I was never able to really clean out all the junk in the hose. This tool made it a breeze. One piece of advise... make sure you rinse the dirty tank, hose and cleaning tool every time you use it. Otherwise, the machine will start stinking up your house every time you go to use it. With my previous machine... the stank was bad.

I know this is made to be a spot cleaner... it is very well working to clean small areas like car seats or carpets home furniture and stairs. It cleans very well. The only down side is the suction. I wish the Bissell had a better suction power. It would make it complete. Any ways, still very good tool to have around for quick spills cleaning. My house is all carpet... Easy to work with and taking a very small storage area. I used to have an older model, this one looks like a good upgrade: different structure and more sturdy materials.

Despite the name and image on this heater it does not heat the water. You have to fill it with just hot tap water and solution, which means that any solution left over will be cold the next time you need it. Also the main carpet attachment is poorly designed with sharp plastic and it snags on tight carpet leaving obvious wear.

If you're looking for a steam/hot water cleaning device for small messes on your carpet, this a great device. Lightweight for a carpet cleaner overall, and holds enough to get messy spots clean. Right off, it has a long extension cord, 15', so you can access spots far away from plugs and into a room. The unit has a few parts that snap on to hold the cleaning devices, cords, and vacuum tube. Just push the pieces in to the correct slots, it's easy to set up. You get 2 cleaning attachments, a regular hand held carpet cleaner, and one for stairs with 3 options. Both have easy to remove covers so you can clean the insides if needed. The sides of the device hold the clean water/formula mixture, and the dirty recovered water. The clean tank opens on the top and has lines marking were to fill with water and cleaning solution. There are markings for small and large jobs. The dirty side has a release on the top side you open to drain the dirty water out. The cleaning solution is sprayed out from the under the handle towards the brushes. Then you have the brushes and the suction. The brushes work, you just may have to scrub hard, it's a manual cleaning and it worked fine for me. Sometimes you just have to scrub harder. The suction was pretty good. Not a lot of spray comes out, it’s not needed, and the suction gets most of it, the carpet is slightly damp but not wet when done. There is a clear window/release button on the top of the attachments to check for clogs. It’s easy to use. The stair cleaner is interesting, it is a flat, edge, and corner cleaner all in one. The head is a triangle for each of the mentioned cleaning configurations. You rotate the head, and which ever side is down is the one cleaning. This allows you to get in to tight spaces on stairs with no problems. Not as powerful as the regular cleaning tool, but makes the sides and corners easy to get to and clean. When done cleaning, there is a self-cleaning attachment for the hose to rinse it out when needed. This is not for large jobs or rooms. For spot cleaning it’s great, portable, and gets the job done. At the regular price point, you are either in the high end of the spot cleaners like this one, or the low end of whole room carpet cleaners. If you only need to clean spots and messes, this is the device you want.
