This thing is fine for very light animal use but we have 4 cats so running this over the couch over and over and over. I'd skip this thing.

I've used it to pick up all the dog hair in the car as well as on and around our couch for those hard-to-reach places. The motorized head easily pulls pet hair from the carpets. Great for small jobs!
