I am not happy with this product. It leaves a stain after cleaning and dispenses to much water and cleaner in one spot.

The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Bagless Cordless Hand Vac is a handy little thing but lacks the power of larger units. The small size and easy portability make it ideal for quickly cleaning small messes. Unfortunately, it just doesn't have the power to thoroughly clean larger messes or fully suck liquids from a carpet. It works great for small spills and accidents that you address immediately. Just know that it can't handle larger jobs or something that has set in. For the price, it's a good deal and does a good job. If you need to clean heavy-duty stains, you'll need to spend more money for one of Bissell's more muscular cleaners. But this little guy does a good job and should be your first line of defense for everyday messes.

once I got this home, and read the instructions, I realized just how few spaces it would help. i returned it.

Great looking updated version of the original Bissel pet stain eraser. And that's where the positives stop. Like the original, this one leaked from the main reservoir. Unlike the original, this one started leaking immediately. So Bissell traded an updated look for a worse performing cleaner. Go figure. Returned to the store for a refund. Bought a vacuum and a can of spray on stain remover.

The Bissell pet stain eraser can be a nifty product at times, especially when you catch an accident as soon as it happens. It's aesthetically appealing with its sharp edges. It can get the job done, too, but not without consequences. For a spot cleaner, this thing is heavy, bulky, and not exactly easy to clean. It's not at all ergonomic—I've found my hand aching while holding the cleaner. You have to angle it correctly to achieve the most effective vacuum power, and even then, you have to go over some spots several times. The scrubber is definitely good to have, and it should always be used whenever you clean. However, if you have a separate brush, I would recommend using that, as you have to brush with the entire cleaner since it's attached (it detaches, but it's not meant to be used separately), and it's a small-area brush. Once you've cleaned up, you'll want to then clean up the pet stain eraser. Because you'll be scrubbing with the cleaner, it's going to get dirty. This means it's harder to clean up than what it should be. Luckily the brush detaches, along with the liquid vacuum container and head area so that you clean any place on the surface cleaner that the stain or dirt has touched. I would also like to point out that it takes approximately 3-4 hours to charge the cleaner from a zero battery level, and it will not turn on if it's plugged in. I found it to be a hassle on several points. It doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long either, whether it's being used or not. It's good that it cleans, and it would be better if it was a little more powerful. But I'd look elsewhere if you don't like hassles.

I brought this because of the great reviews, I have a puppy that often chooses to pee upstairs instead of using his doggie door to go outside, and I often need to use this carpet cleaner. The first time I used it, it was a delight! The next few times caused a leak, which got all over me and back on the carpet (what a disaster!)

This is just a waste of money. Added garbage to the environment. There is nothing this tool offers that a spray bottle and a little elbow grease can’t do. The water reservoir is small needs constant filling. The brushes aren’t powered so you still have to scrub manually.... so what’s the point?! Horrible

It’s has no power and barely work I don’t like it at all

Well, it really is just a tiny carpet shampooer. That's actually pretty awesome, as it does a great job cleaning up messes, not only from pets but also toddlers! Seriously, there was some melted cheese in the carpet, this thing cleaned it right up! It's rechargeable, and seems pretty capable for most small spills it's designed to clean up. You fill up the tank with cleaner (2 tubs provided) and spray. Let that sit for a few minutes, then come back scrub with the included nylon brush (built into the device just behind the suction area) and vacuum up the excess cleaner and mess. This is pretty effortless, and very easy. The carpet generally is still pretty wet, even after a thorough vacuuming, so you do need to let it air dry a bit. So far I haven't had to do a lot of maintenance, but it is pretty easy to work on. This has helped get out some stains that I've been waiting to address with a full shampooing. The convenience of being able to address these stains at will, without having to go grab several tools, scrub, and vacuum separately after drying is so nice. Especially if these 'incidents' occur in the middle of the night (I'm looking at you hairball queen cat). The manual talks about some not included accessories, including a window squeegee. It's a shame it didn't come with that, as it's a nifty idea. All in all this does a great job with pet stains, and like I said 'other messes'. I wish we had it years ago! Highly recommended!

It’s only sufficient for small stains that are fresh Nd not set in

Finally opened the box and used this fir the first time...it literally leaks from every possible seal. Its soewing sucked up water out of the motor vent. Literally the worst design I have ever seen.

Returned it after the first use. Didn’t work as expected

I bought 3 of these within 6 months due to the waste water canister leaking. The point of this product is to clean up your dog’s pee, not spread it all over the floor..again.
