Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness on pet hair and lightweight design. However, some users point out that the water tank is on the small side and the machine can be quite loud during operation. A few also mention that the price point may be considered high by some consumers.

This model is the old version I purchased at Best Buy. Though it advertises the 3 in 1 stair tool and a new long hose it didn't include them in the box. Bissell doesn't even manufacture these anymore according to their web page. Are they just getting rid of old stock? Are they just advertising it as the new model? The new model has these new features and Bissell sells it at the same price. Now I have to take it back because I was led to believe it had the 10' hose and 3 in one stair tool.

This really saturates the carpet, completely soaking it, and it doesnt pull it all up. Even on the express setting. Doesnt do well on rugs either. Conpletely chewed up my area rug. Left bald patches

It does the job and easy assembly. Does leak though and I had to press down on it to get it to soak up more water from carpet.

For some reason, cannot get some stains out. Not sure it's the machine or the liquids. Will try again next time.

I highly recommend Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Upright Deep Cleaner. It comes with a 1 gallon capacity clean water tank which I only needed to refill once for my large family room. It also comes with a hose and 2 different attachments for cleaning upholstery. I first tested the machine in the Deep Clean mode on my family room and I was very impressed with the results. This machine is easy to maneuver and doesn’t weigh too much. It is also simple to use. Just fill the clean water tank with hot tap water and choose Deep Clean or Express Clean mode. Then press the trigger as you run the machine over your carpet. There is also a CleanShot® function for adding an extra cleaning boost to carpet spots. There is a pedal on the base to stream out some CleanShot® cleaner while you are using the machine. My carpet looks beautiful after one cleaning. This is definitely going to make my carpet last for several more years than it would have otherwise. Being so easy to use, I will be able to clean the carpet more often which will make it last much longer. In fact, it fluffed up the carpet in the heavy traffic paths which made it look new again. Next I tried the Express Clean mode with the 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery tool on my sofa. Normally, I tend to stay away from accessory tools because the set up is such a hassle, but this was very easy. You just open up the hatch on the base of the machine, plug in your hose with the tool attached and that’s it. With the 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery tool, you can use the same tool to first vacuum your upholstery in the “Dry” mode and then clean in the “Wet” mode. My sofa and recliners haven’t looked this good in a very long time. I loved that I could remove the dirty water tank without having to remove the clean water tank and vice versa. Both tanks come with easy to carry handles too. Cleaning the machine was very easy. Rinse out the clean water tank to remove all of the cleaning liquid, then add clean water only into the tank and use the machine for 15 seconds on your carpet. This runs clean water through your machine to rinse it out. Then remove both tanks, empty and rinse them thoroughly. Let the tanks dry completely before returning them to the machine for storage.

I got home and got half way done with my bedroom and water flow just stopped. I didnt troubleshooting like I did on the 1st on and NO WATER EVEN AFTER SITTING FOR 30 MINUTES. ****beware not worth your time**** wait time for a bissel rep is crazy and best buy agents are just looking at bissel and google in my opinion which I did.

I assembled the unit & when I went to use it water was leaking from under the machine. It flooded the floor. On 8/4 i took it back to Best Buy store in Flower Mound to get it replaced. I was told the the time has expired to return it & that I would have to use the GS Protection plan I purchased for $60.61 & to buy plan again would cost $80. My account shows it is returnable until 8/11.

Disclaimer: My home is in the middle of a remodel and I have not had the opportunity to test the unit on indoor carpet. The unit was easy to assembly. There is a handy mesh bag for storing the tools and hose. This model does not come with a hard floor attachment. And, despite the fact that one is pictured in the User’s Manual, Bissell does not yet offer a hard floor attachment for this model. There are several hard floor attachments advertised on the Bissell web site, but none are compatible with this model (1986). This was a real disappointment for me since the first task I had planned for this unit was to clean “mud” and drywall dust from the hardwood floor in our partially remodeled den. I have had a chance to test the unit on the floor mats and cargo area of my car. The ”deep stain tool” did a great job on both areas and the cleaning solution removed some stains that I thought were permanent. Moving slowly over the wet areas will pick up more dirty water and leave the mats almost dry enough to use. I hope to give this product a more thorough test and update this review once the protective plastic comes off my carpet. As a caution, don’t fill the clean water reservoir while it is sitting on a counter. This will depress the release valve on the bottom of the reservoir and your counter will get wet. Also be aware that not all links to the User’s Guide on Bissell’s web site work. If you have trouble, try this one: https://bissellmedia.azureedge.net/-/media/site-us/documents/user-guides/1986/bissell_user_guide_proheat_2x_revolution_1964_1986_2007_series.pdf?la=en&modified=20170202170006&cdnv=1 If you are expecting quiet, this Bissell unit is anything but. I would seriously consider hearing protection if you intend to use it in an small enclosed area. It’s Noisy!
