Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness on pet hair and lightweight design. However, some users point out that the water tank is on the small side and the machine can be quite loud during operation. A few also mention that the price point may be considered high by some consumers.

Lovely product except for dumping waste water
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit came with cleaning fluid sample that was good for two full reservoir tanks. Any Bissell cleaning product will work with unit. This product is very easy to use. Water fill and cleaning fluid fill lines are easy to see. Loading clean water (use hot water from tap. Do Not use boiling water) was a snap. Attachments are easy to understand & use, and come with their own mesh bag so parts are less likely to be lost. Attachment for upholstery works really well, giving you the option of dry or wet mode. Both the regular cleaner and stair/upholstery attachment cleaned the carpet very well. I didn't realize how gross the tenant left the carpet. Based on the previously mentioned features, this product would rate 5 stars. However, one must take into consideration the poor waste water dispenser design. There are no seals on the waste water reservoir to prevent leaks. One must be extremely skilled & careful on removing the waste water reservoir lest dirty water be spilled all over the place. You have to tip the waste water reservoir over quickly when emptying in sink/toilet to prevent more spills. If this flaw was addressed, ratings would increase. Would also recommend to everyone if/when that issue was addressed. Unit weighs 30-40lbs without filled reservoirs, and 50-60lbs with water. Product rolls smoothly. Wheels are quiet on hardwood floors (didn't use on hardwood; just rolled across them to get to more carpeted areas)

Good for regular, frequent cleaning. Not pets.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have pets and prefer that my house doesn't look like I own pets, so I've used a lot of carpet cleaners in the past. If you're looking for the absolute best carpet cleaner, especially for set in stains and pets then keep looking. HOWEVER, this is still a very good carpet cleaner, and by far the easiest to clean out, which makes it much more likely that you will actually use it on a regular basis. There is some assembly required out of the box and I didn't find the instructions to be the most intuitive and I was pretty worried when putting the handle together that I was going to break it when "snapping" it into place and the screw felt like it was stripping the whole time I fastened the handle on. The best feature like I said is that compared to other carpet cleaners I have used in the past this one is a breeze to clean!!!!! Love that. It also does an above average job sucking up the water/cleaning agent so your floors aren't soapy-wet after a cleaning. With other carpet cleaners and small spot units I've had to get out the towels and fans to air the house out after a cleaning, not so with this one, very dry when done. For being designed especially for Pets, the cat puke stains and embedded cat fur in my rugs didn't really come out the way I would expect which is why I can only recommend this for regular cleaning instead of pet messes.

Wet Carpets
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleans good but it doesn't pull the water out of the carpet. It takes two full days to dry. I'll never buy a Bissell again.

Cleans like a champ!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I have 2 dogs, a Peagle and a Lab mix and in the last year we added a newborn daughter to the mix. When you add the stains from things dropped while taking care of my daughter mixed with the accidents my dogs tend to have when they don't have our undivided attention, I was very eager to see how this cleaner would handle carpets that I was convinced would need to be replaced. After setting up the cleaner, which was a breeze to do, I was up and running shortly after. I wound up using the Bissell Pet Stain & Odor + Antibacterial formula and was stunned as what I considered a lost cause was transformed into something that looked almost brand new again. The unit itself is lightweight and a lot different than the old model we had used in the past. The power behind is was also very satisfying. Drying of the carpet seemed to happen quicker than experiences in the past with other models, and I think one of the biggest factors that I considered a success with this product was the odor removal. My wife was very sensitive to that aspect of the cleaning and she was extremely happy with the how the cleaning removed it. Very happy with this unit and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use, powerful, and solid cleaner. This will certainly help us keep things clean with the pets and potential for other stains that will inevitably find their way to the rugs!

Nice upright carpet cleaner-easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned an older Bissell canister style carpet cleaner for quite a while. In comparison, this upright unit is far easier to use and is a much better cleaner. There is a tag attached to the handle that has a short list of steps to assemble the unit. I went online to find a user manual with more detailed instructions for use and maintenance. I'd prefer to get this with the cleaner, but this seems to be the trend with manufacturers to not supply these anymore. There is one upper container to fill with water and cleaning solution and then you're ready to clean. We use a Dyson vacuum so I figured our carpets weren't that bad. Well, the lower container that collects the dirty, extracted water was pretty brown. It also extracted dog hair and other lint. I did a 10x13 area rug to start with that took me 2 1/2 containers of cleaning water. I followed the instructions to pull the cleaning trigger on the handle while going up and back over a section and then extracting the water in the same motion. I was satisfied with the job this Bissell cleaner did and I found the upright design to be easy to use and maneuver. It requires one to use clear water through a brief cleaning session when done and one must rinse the plastic parts that cover the cleaning brushes to remove any remaining dirt, fur and hair. Like anything, once you figure out how to do the breakdown and assembly it goes quickly.

Less than 3 months of use and leaks
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had for 3 months and it is leaking very badly from where the cleaning fluid heats up at. I clean thoroughly after each use, which is often but I take care of all my equipment and tools to make them last a long time and this one just isn’t working out. Need to schedule repair or replacement. 3 months old and never fell or got damaged from any misuse, this is something that should not happen in the first 3months, and technically it has been leaking for the last 3 weeks so 2 1/2 months and this issue.

Wonderful Deep Carpet Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical to try this deep cleaner as I haven't had the best experience with deep cleaning machines in the past (they last a short time before dying, they don't clean well, etc). I was pleasantly surprised with the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution deep cleaning machine. First, it was very easy to get started cleaning quickly. Add hot water and solution and get going. Before cleaning the carpet, I vacuumed the master bedroom using a standard vacuum cleaner which I thought did a great job of picking up the dog hair. Boy was I wrong. When I cleaned the carpet with the Bissell machine (which was very easy to use), it picked up enough dog hair to make a small dog. I was very impressed by how well the deep cleaner worked. The carpet dried quickly and smelled great. The machine was easy to use (wasn't heavy to push/pull, wasn't too loud, and did a great job extracting the water from the carpet). Next I decided to try the upholstery attachment and clean the couch. Again, the machine did great. It was easy to use and I was impressed by how much dirt and dog hair it removed from the couch. Cleaning the machine was easy, just rinse the parts and let dry. Overall, this is the best deep cleaning machine I have used. Cleans wonderfully, is easy to use and clean and left the carpet feeling great on bare feet.

A complete waste of money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product did an amazing job at first, but after 3 months, the cleaner completely stopped working. For some reason, the water no longer comes out of the reservoir.

Very capable and highly recommended
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Presentation - The redesigned approach Bissell has taken on this line demonstrates a commitment to product improvement. There’s no doubt about it. The assembly process is quick and easy. The maintenance aspect features are thoughtful and easy to use because of modularity of the design. And the procedures to actually use the cleaner are simple and straight forward. There are some that comment how lightweight this unit is but I would simply state that this unit is of average weight and maneuverability. There is nothing astoundingly light weight in the feel of this unit and in fact, on moderately plush carpet – coupled with the fact that it has some strong extraction force – it feels heavy and can be tiresome to use over prolonged period of time. That is to say, if you’re tackling several rooms in the same day. Another glaringly painful aspect of this unit is the fact that Bissell insists on using the ‘Proheat’ marketing angle for this unit – but if you dig into the specifications there is not onboard heater unit. The ‘heat’ comes from the faucet. To me that is borderline false advertising when you consider their previous generations of Bissell machines. The inclusion of so many attachments should also please any pet owner looking for an effective cleaning machine that is powerful and flexible to use. Initial Setup- Again, assembly is quite easy and the instructions are clear & simple. You snap in the handle, set the single retaining screw and insert the two reservoirs. Done. Performance - Having used Bissell products regularly over the past 20 or so odd years, I was eager to try this new product out. Upon first use, I went to a newer section of carpet in our home that is in structurally excellent condition but suffers from the most foot traffic – thereby making it quite dirty. I used the Express mode to test the unit’s ability to clean in this efficient mode and to see how quickly the carpet would dry. On this tile inset carpet area – approx 16’ by 16’ in size – I was able to completely cover the area twice, using about 75% of the supply (clean water + solution) reservoir with solid results. The results were remarkable, with a good as new looking carpet pile and it was dry in less than an hour – as promised. I really can’t say enough good things about this Express mode. It truly works without saturating the carpet, using so little water and drying so quickly. This mode alone is worth the price of admission for this cleaning machine. Next we moved to the older carpet, high traffic areas in our home that have seen better days. Most notably was the disaster area commonly known as a teenager’s bedroom. In the normal cleaning mode, this machine work magic nothing short of a miracle. Certainly a lot more clean water + solution was laid down thereby extending the dry time to a few hours but the deep cleaning achievements of this product greatly exceeded our expectations. The carpet pile came back to life – even better than the last time we had the same area professionally cleaned. Again, this unit has powerful suction capability, so that in combination with the average build weight makes this cleaner anything but nimble but I would also comment that it is not TOO heavy either. Just don’t expect feather light operation on average to deep pile carpet. One last thing, in operation, this cleaner puts out an average amount of noise. It is by no means quiet. Summary- Easy to setup and use. Express mode is truly amazing, producing excellent results with a minimal amount of water used and a dry time as good as they promise. Full strength carpet cleaning in the normal mode with equally excellent results. About as loud as the average consumer carpet cleaning machine. Not as lightweight as being described by some folks but also not too terribly heavy. Misleading “Proheat” marketing is unfortunate as there is no onboard heating element. Excellent 5 year warranty. I recommend this product to everyone looking for a quality product, especially pet owners.

Simple To Use, Made Rug Like New
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bissell is an easy to use upright deep cleaner that does amazing job of cleaning carpets. I picked this model even though I do not have pets, as I hoped if it could handle pet hair, it could handle anything. We cleaned three rugs and it did an amazing job on all. The time from opening the box to finishing cleaning all three was under 1 hour (including assembly and moving furniture off rugs). The whole setup and clean process was simple, and as per results: the colors look brighter, and the rugs are definitely cleaner (almost look new). The box implies that it's better than the leading rental cleaner, and I'm inclined to believe them. I want to say more, but really the thing is simple and it works great and I don't think much more needs to be said.
