Customers consistently note the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness on pet hair and lightweight design. However, some users point out that the water tank is on the small side and the machine can be quite loud during operation. A few also mention that the price point may be considered high by some consumers.

To be upfront I requested this as part of my best buy technical membership. I dont have any pets so I cant speak to that aspect of the machine, nor did I try the furniture attachment as we have leather. What I can speak to is that it cleans carpets well! The design is great and allows for easy filling, emptying and cleaning of the machine. The weight of it is perfect as to allow for nice maneuverability and for great suction. I have read some other reviews mentioning very wet carpets and long dry times - but my experience is the carpet dries in about 3 hours - but I do live in Arizona. I would recommend that if you have this issue - just go over the area again using just the suction (no solution). It would be nice if it held more water and had its own heater for the water, but then you are adding complexity and cost. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to help maintain their carpets...

Let me start this review by saying that I have 3 pets in my house, 2 dogs and a cat, all 3 have long hair and from time to time like to make a mess that needs cleaning. This is by far the best carpet cleaner that I have ever seen for taking care of pet messes. It clearly shows that they designed this from the ground up with pets in mind. From the easily removable brush roll cover (that spot the hair gets stuck to in other cleaners), to the removable brushes and easily removed tanks this thing is amazing and well designed. It is also by far the lightest cleaner I have ever used and that is super handy when you are cleaning a whole house with this thing, makes it easy to move up and down stairs and less fatigue just pushing it around. If you are in the market for a carpet cleaner I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get probably one of the best cleaners I have ever used in my life.

I like the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution. It is a nice carpet cleaner to tackle a room at a time or a floor of rooms in a day. The box comes with an upholstery brush for upholstered furniture and two bottles of cleaner for pets. You will need a Philips head screw driver to complete the set up of the Bissell. Once the Bissel is set up all you need to do is fill the tank with water and solution. There are two cleaning modes, express and deep clean. Express does soak your carpets and Bissell claims that the carpet will dry in an hour (this time depends on temperature and humidity). Deep clean puts more soap on the carpet and you will have to pull the Bissell back to collect the extra soap and water. Patience is the key, you have to let the soapy water have a chance to penetrate the carpet, allow the brushes to take their time to scrub the carpet and pull back slow enough to allow the soapy water and dirt to be sucked back into the Bissell. I have found that after I have put the soapy water on the carpet if I go back and forth several times on dirty carpet it cleans the carpet better. If you can see that the water being sucked back into the Bissell is no longer as dirty or clearer, you can move onto the next section. If you use the deep clean mode setting up fans for cross ventilation helps dry the carpets a lot quicker especially on humid days. Cleaning the Bissell between cleaning the carpet is the key to cleaner rugs. Bissell did a nice job clear documenting on how to properly empty the dirty water and clean the tank in-between adding new water and soap as you clean. Even though the unit did not come with a bare floor cleaner I did try it on my vinyl floor and it worked well. I think a lot of that was due to the heated water that loosened up the dirt and the vacuuming up of the dirty floor water. I would not use the deep clean mode as it would cause a lot of excess water to be on the floor. This is a nice unit. I would definitely suggest it for a household that likes to clean its carpets once a year or when ever a rug needs a touch up and you have the patience to run the Bissell slowly and methodically. I was amazed how much cleaner my carpets were after washing them. It won’t make old rugs that have never been cleaned look brand new, but you will be able to tell that those carpets have been cleaned.

Easy to put together, cleans well

This cleaner was quite easy to put together. We did have a bit of a problem with the handle as the angle was wrong at first but then it snapped right in. I misunderstood when I read the description that it could also be used in dry mode. I thought it was the whole machine but found it was just the upholstery attachment. That attachment works great. As my cat loves to hang out on top of the loveseats by the windows, I no longer have to throw a beach towel over the chair when company shows up. I just use my Bissell. The videos that Bissell has are very good - simple and informative. I would suggest though that it would be helpful to have them ordered in more of a step 1, 2, 3 way. Now it seems rather random. All that said, my carpets haven't looked this good since I bought them. The Express feature gets the carpet clean without having to wait a day for the carpet to dry. I do it before I retire and the carpet is dry in the morning. Fortunately I haven't had to use the stain feature yet.

The first product did not work out of the box had to return it. I went back to Bestbuy and replaced it and the second one started leaking a massive amount of water in the second use. We previously had a great experience with the Bissel Big Green and used it for 4-5 years. I wanted to try something lighter but no luck. Unfortunately, this is not a reliable product.

The rug cleaner works good but the upholstery cleaner sucks. You ant get a grip on the wand without hitting either the trigger (which you don’t want to engage while sucking up the water) or the wet/dry button. The button needs some kind off stop so it won’t just slide to dry without you knowing.

Works great, easy to assemble and use

I adopted two new dogs, bringing the in-home total to 4, and you know what that means. Yep, time to get a steam cleaner. Based on a quick search, this one was the most highly rated and favorably reviewed, and I think it's earned that status. It can be fully assembled in less than 5 minutes and is ready to go. The instructions are clear and it's easy to use. And it works WELL. I used the deep clean function with the concentrated cleaner (two sample cleaners come with it, and you'll get about 3 tankfuls from each. PROS: *easy and quick to assemble and use *comes with some cleaning solutions to get you started *cleans very well. So well, in fact, that I've become a little disheartened about the amount of dog hair that my Dyson animal vac has left behind for this to find. *purchase earns a donation to animal rescue (yay!) *easy to fill the clean water reservoir (although it will drip a little, they all do) and easy to dump the dirty water reservoir CONS (OK, not really a 'con' but an observation) *not a vacuum - the wet hair that it 'found' after I'd vacuumed the carpet gets spit up on the carpet like wet, matted furballs that you have to pick up and discard. It will NOT suck those up, it just keeps recycling them if you don't pick them up (voice of experience here) *the clean water tank is 1 gallon, and you'll be surprised how fast you'll burn through that with Deep Clean mode. My bedroom is probably about 12x17, with a walk-in closet and part of the master bath carpeted, and I went through 3 tanks of water.

Who knew a Dalmatian would shed so much fur all over the house. And who knew the Bissell Revolution Pet Pro would work so well picking up that fur! I was so excited to get this deep cleaner because if it could just do a fraction of what the product said it could do, then I would be ecstatic. I admit that I delayed in putting it together simply because I didn’t want to have all my hopes dashed so early in the product ownership due to problems with the user guide instructions. But once I sat down with it, and a pair of glasses, I was shocked to see that I had assembled it on my own in only 10 minutes!! The directions were helpful, easily navigable, and I had little to no struggle figuring out what to do thanks to the useful graphics. The font size wasn’t even that small, thank goodness. I really connected with the online instructional how-to video option. I am a visual person and I like to watch videos that show the step by step process as it saves me time and frustration figuring things out. I encourage owners to read through the instruction booklet before using the product. That reason I say that is there are some great tips that are scattered through the entire booklet. It isn’t too long and there are certainly pages that can initially be skipped. The first thing I did was to hook up the upholstery pet tool to dry vacuum the sofa-now dog bed that is completed covered in a thick layer of dog fur. The tip offered about using a raking motion was great because it helped to loosen up the fur that had become so matted down and embedded in the sofa fibers. Cleaning up the tool was so instinctual that I didn’t even have to read the directions to successfully do it. Oftentimes I find cleaning up a product after using it such a burden that I tend to avoid cleaning it and it no longer works as well. But in this case the clean up was so easy and not such a chore. The next thing I did was to do an express clean (which only takes 1 hour for the carpet to dry) of the carpet by the front door and near the kitchen where the dog had peed on the carpet. I swear I didn’t plan this when I was ready to use the deep cleaner for the first time. I used the cleaner that “eliminates pet urine, stains & odors.” I had initial issues having pressed the wrong button-I hit the clean shot, which wouldn’t stop squirting, instead of the recline pedal. I followed the directions on how many dry and wet passes and when to use the spray trigger. It worked great - the urine stain came out! After I finished with the express clean, again it was so intuitive how to clean the machine. Cleaning the carpet once every other week won’t seem like such a dreaded task and it will produce great results. Bissell offers a plethora of cleaning formulas to use with or in addition to this deep cleaner so it won’t be difficult to find Bissell products as that is what is recommended to use. As a matter of fact, it clearly states in bold to ONLY use Bissell deep cleaning formulas or risk voiding the limited five-year warranty. I can attest to all the product promises to do – deep cleaning, removing stains and odors; easy to clean brush rollers; dry and wet mode. I would highly recommend purchasing the Bissell Revolution Pet Pro deep cleaner.

Had one of these for about 2 years, then it broke. Took it back, got the exact same one (it worked when it was working). Well, about 2 weeks w/ the ‘new’ one, it broke down in the same way the 1st did - it quit sucking up the water. Took it back and got a Hoover.

I would give it 4 out of 5. And the only reason I'd ding it is because it was heavy and not as maneuverable around corners (as compared to all the lighter weight Dyson products I'm used to) and because I wish it would do better at sucking up debris when it sucked up the water. It would tend to leave some debris behind (hair balls, wet fuzz, etc.). The debris would get caught up in the roller bristles (as it should), but then it would get wet and then sometimes land back on the carpet, and wouldn't always get sucked back up by the machine. It's not a big deal, because I plan to go over the carpets again with the vacuum, but I do wish the debris had been suctioned up a little better. It does do a good job at sucking up the dirty water. PROS: Directions easy to understand. Easy to put together. Easy to refill the water supply. Easy to use, other than slightly heavy. Easy to clean afterwards and put back together. Cord length was long enough to cover a normal sized room. Carpets feel lighter, softer, and fluffier after use. CONS: Slightly heavy, especially when lifting up and down stairs. Takes a little longer to use in deep clean mode, because you have to refill the water tank more often and go slower with each pass. Wish it sucked up debris better - this is definitely not a vacuum, just a carpet cleaner. OBSERVATIONS: Offers 2 modes - express clean and deep clean. I could see times to use both. I tried the express clean mode on berber carpet and an area rug, and the deep clean mode on the regular shag carpet. The express clean didn't use as much water, and I could have done 3-4 rooms on one water tank. It also doesn't take as long to dry. The deep clean uses much more water, almost a full tank per room, but you can tell it gets hotter and cleans better. Does take longer to dry though. I didn't use the hose or the little upholstery cleaner yet so I can't review that. It definitely did its job, as the water I removed after cleaning the carpets was very dirty. I could see doing this maybe 2-3 times a year and whenever you have spills, etc, and it would probably extend the carpet life. I would recommend it to someone, because it will pay for itself over time rather than paying someone else to come out and clean your carpets. I'm sure the next time I use it, it wouldn't take as long to figure out how to fill it up, clean it afterwards, etc, since I've done it now. Overall, I liked it and would recommend. I like that it's cleaning with heat, not just shampooing, so it offers more of an antibacterial effect. You're not dealing with a lot of suds and worrying that you're leaving a residue behind. It's similar to using the steam mop - it just seems to clean more efficiently than with a lot of soap products.

This is from my wife's experience with it as I've never shampooed a carpet in my life. This shampooer removed dirt and stains like no other device she has used. Even a few older "poptart stains" we're removed. She was mostly excited and happy about the wand attachment she used on a love seat that had some years on it. It cleaned it up great and even I noticed how it really made the chair seem brand new. A couple really older stains took a couple tries but eventually came up. Setup was very easy as well as the operation. Clean up was a breeze and wife couldn't be happier with it.
