Customers consistently note the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness on pet hair and lightweight design. However, some users point out that the water tank is on the small side and the machine can be quite loud during operation. Really nice cleaner but not for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cleaner is extremely high quality. I really wished it would have worked out for me. It's cleaning ability was fantastic, but it also pulled up a lot of carpet fibers along with the dirt. Then, the tanks are quite small and need to be emptied and refilled quite often. This would be fine for small areas but for larger rooms that was the deal breaker for me.

Good for quick cleanings
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great for quick spot cleanings and doing touch ups in between having a profession clean. Removes pet hair and dander, works GREAT on furniture! If your carpets are starting to get dirty or to keep them clean to avoid having to hire a professional to come in, I would recommend this carpet cleaner. If your carpets have deep, dark stains, I would recommend having a pro come in and keeping them clean with this. Only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is the "Clean Shot" is very tricky to operate and not entirely effective, everything else is fantastic!

Negatives outweigh the positives
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family consists of, two west highland terriers, an orange cat, my husband and I. About 1,000 square feet of our house is white carpeting. We mostly battle muddy footprints, occasional "accidents" and food/ drink mishaps. I usually do a large steam cleaning session about once a month during rainy/snowy months and spot treat in the interim. So, my Hoover Power Scrub (6 years old) stopped working and I wanted to start a full carpet scrub down, stat. So, I saw that the Bissell ProHeat X2 Revolution Pet Pro was at my local Best Buy and it had good reviews. I have found some true negatives about this machine and I have to return it soon (or I won't be able to)! Negatives: 1. LEAKING DIRTY WATER DURING CLEAN WATER REFILL AND DIRTY WATER DUMPING TIMES After a spot treatment using the main unit (not the hose or anything) and it's time to dump the dirty water, the unit gets left on the carpet... When I come back, I see a big spot of dirty water where the bristles were. So, this is all right if I'm just going to come back and keep shampooing, but at this point, I only wanted to do a spot treatment, and I wasn't going to be back to clean up the "leaked" dirty water :( - As a test, I tried letting the machine rest on a plastic computer chair rolling pad, to see if maybe the carpet was siphoning the water out of the rollers. It still leaked on the plastic, and not only did it still leak but when I picked it up and moved it a couple hours later, it left a trail of dirty water across my carpet! In this experiment, I didn't rinse the bristle cover for experimental purposes because there are so many times that I do let the machine sit while I run and do something else for a bit without disassembling and rinsing everything out. Lesson learned: I can't have a finicky, high maintenance machine that HAS to be disassembled and rinsed at every stopping point. 2. DOESN'T LET ME RINSE THE CARPET WHEN I WANT TO I have developed a very particular method since I clean so often! I like doing one row of shampooing and go back through and do one row of rinsing. The problem is that the tank on this machine is the type that you put the cleaner and water in the same tank, so in order to rinse, I have to wait until the tank is empty which means I have to walk on the wet carpet over and over again because one tank does not equal one row! To be fair, the Bissell solution I was using had scotch guard in it, and it is advised not to do a rinsing row because it defeats the scotch guard effect... However, the idea of not rinsing gives me nightmares, so I did the rinse row anyway and the water still came out really soapy from the carpet which means soap would have just sat in my carpet if I didn't rinse it. (I do have a cringy story about guests being over and spilling water on dry, unrinsed carpet if anyone is interested) So, because I value rinsed carpet I absolutely need that divided tank that my Hoover had. 3. WATER COMES OUT OF THE BOTTOM AND TOP OF THE DIRTY WATER CONTAINER The dirty water container has a hole on the bottom that allows the dirty water to enter the container during the cleaning process, and a plastic float thing is designed to cover the hole when the container is in the upright position while carrying. But, there is a purgatory time. This float/ hole cover thing falls towards the dispensing hole while you are dumping your dirty water in your toilet. This is where it get's exciting. The float is still hanging out closer to the top part of the container not protecting the hole, but you're done dumping the water so you turn the container right side up (there's still water in the container because the shape is funky and water gets caught in pockets.) The area directly to the left side of your toilet becomes a splash zone and gets good and moist. Good news though: Now you have gotten all of the water out of the container, and it's really ready to be filled back up with dirty water! Oh, and if you were planning on flood mopping your bathroom, well, it's a two birds situation, because you just got a section done! 3.5 ALSO, THE PLUG AT THE TOP OF THE DIRTY WATER CONTAINER IS NOT VERY USER-FRIENDLY But, I'm sure one could get used to it. 4. THE WATER IS NOT AS DIRTY AS THE HOOVER WATER WOULD BE! Last negative, I noticed that the water comes out like kind of what clear-ish chocolate milk would look like, just murky brown. When I cleaned with my Hoover it came out like dark brown, I don't want to gross everyone out, but there have been times when the darkness of the water scared me. Positives: 1. IT CLEANS WELL Something I really liked about this cleaner is that even though I vacuum before shampooing the carpets, I get a good amount of fuzz and dirt specks (Imagine SMALL rocks) in the dirty water and bristle cover. And it reminded me of something... OH! It reminded me of when my Hoover was brand new, it did the same thing. As the Hoover's bristles wore down, it didn't scrub as aggressively and had stopped grabbing these types of particles out of the carpet. (Ugh, I didn't mean for this to sound like a Hoover commercial) 2. THE LOW PROFILE OF THE HEAD OF THE CLEANER Yes, this aspect of the Bissell is why I have not returned it yet, it's so nice to be able to get under our sofa tables and coffee tables! I'm going to miss this, Bissell had their thinking caps on with this part of the design.

Really a hard worker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With two huge dogs... 5 yr old lab and a 9 year old German shepherd, keeping carpets clean is rough. This does a good job cleaning the lab's drool and the gsd's occasion "old bladder" issues.

Exceeded my expectations!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My carpets were filthy and I was going to rent a cleaner but they are hard to use and don't do a great job. I searched online and chose the Bissell ProHeat. I am sure glad I did. I can't believe how clean my carpets are and they smell great. I would highly recommend this machine.

YOU NEED THIS IF YOU HAVE PET!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I have a dog who sheds A LOT. I didn't know until after I used this. My roommate has this 7 years old carpet cleaner. I felt like it was time to give my roommate an upgrade from that piece of junk to this newer model. Not only he was happy. He and I both were SHOCKED to see how much we had fur that was hiding in the carpet. His carpet cleaner never really pulled out any hair or anything. Just made water black and all. But this new cleaner, it pulled out dirty stuff and got water really black... AND HAIR! When pouring out into the toilet, so much clump of hair poured out. We were amazed by this! Our carpet had black-ish color that pretty much says that our carpet is fracking old. But when using this, it made our carpet look newer! More white and puffy! This definitely got rid of the black age thing. Good news! Roommate finally threw out that old piece of junk! :) Bad news. Roommate thinks this is his new machine.

Wow!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Taking the carpet cleaner out of the box looks a bit overwhelming however it is extremely easy and quick to put together. It has two settings, express clean and deep clean. Personally, I've never used to express clean, only the deep clean and I cleaned ALL the carpets in the house. This is BY FAR the BEST investment we've made as a family! With just getting over potty training my 2 year old son, my carpet was a disaster and this made my carpet 99.9% better! Still have one more to potty train and then you still have toddlers and teenagers that are always spilling something. This machine DID BETTER than the "heavy duty" machine you can rent at the grocery store and buying this machine is the equivalent of renting a machine 5x and I promise you, if you have young ones, youll use it WAY more than that!!

Terrific carpet cleaner!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was worried about multiple stains that my dogs had left behind. Vacuum with a lot of power. Clean up is a pain.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a fantastic job cleaning the carpet. Clean up isn't a breeze as I hope though. Lots of debris get stuck and has to be cleared several time during each session.

Returned it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning it. So why 3 stars? There are some things to like about it, looks good, feels good, easy to carry around, What didn't I like? 1) The tank!! It's too small and you'll find yourself filling it up A LOT. One pro review listed it as 15 sq feet per tank and honestly, I don't think that's far off. And since you add the cleaning solution directly to the water, you'll go through cleaning solution very quickly. 2) There is no separate "rinse" function as the Hoover I purchased to replace this. You add the cleaning solution and water together which basically means, unless you drain the tank and fill it with plain water, you are leaving soapy residue on the carpet. I didn't like that idea. 3) It seems to leave a lot of water behind. 4) It doesn't take long before the collection tank is full and needing emptied. It did seem to do a reasonable job of cleaning, but I did one small hallway (not high traffic, it's in the basement) and I went through three tanks of water.

Poor suction. Only picks up a 1/3 water
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price it is sub-par. Leaks as it stands upright in one spot! Suction is 1/3 to water it puts out, which means it leaves 2/3 behind for mold and mildew to start up. Empting and filling containers are not that bad. Water does heat up but suction is not worth purchasing this product. The idea is to water, scub and pick up that water which it does poorly

Worst mistake
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to give this a try after my Hoover carpet cleaner stopped working. After six uses it did not release the water. I called the 1-800 number for BISSELL and they were not able to help me. I’m returning the carpet cleaner tomorrow and go back to a Hoover.

Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped spraying water the same day I bought it. I also dislike that it doesn’t suck up the lint that the rollers remove from the carpet. It just balls up and then will randomly drop them on the carpet. It’s really annoying and it’s more work as you need to pick them up yourself. Another issue I had was that it seemed to spray dirty water. Prior to it not working anymore. When I would release water it would spray dark water which I didn’t like and would take a while to remove, especially on a light color carpet. I just hope that returning it at the store isn’t a hassle.

Doesn’t heat water
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. Pro heat my foot. This machine doesn’t heat water. You have to fill it up with hot water from your sink. Idk why they even put heat on the machine. 2. If you fill the tank with 1 gallon it will only remove one cup of water. My old Hoover sucked up a lot more from the carpet than this new machine. The carpet would dry within an hour. This new machine says 8 hours to dry?? Shouldn’t a $300 machine be able to suck more water out of the carpet???
