Easy To Use, Gets Floors Clean

Easy To Use, Gets Floors Clean I'll start by saying that I don't like mopping. Whether it's with a traditional string mop, a sponge mop, or whatever, it just feels like I'm just moving dirty water around the floor. That's why I was excited to try the Bissell SpinWave. Overall, I found it easy to set up, easy to use, and it really did get my floors clean. First thing out of the box is setup -- the SpinWave comes in two pieces that snap together very easily. No real assembly required. Putting the cleaning pads on was very easy as well. Just line them up and press-on. I didn't have them centered perfectly on the bottom of the SpinWave the first time, but it's Velcro, so all I had to do was peel and stick again, easy-peasy. The SpinWave comes with two sets of pads, "Soft" and "Scrubby," depending on how delicate your floors are, and how dirty they are. The pads are machine washable, but I'm sure they will wear out eventually. Currently, $20 will get you a replacement kit (including both types). Next is the cleaning solution -- the reservior has markings on the sides to show you how much water and cleaning fluid to add, no measuring required. There's one set of markings for a large area and another set for a small area. Pretty convenient. The SpinWave came with two bottles of multi-surface cleaning fluid, and it looks like replacement bottles are available for around $10 each (and come in multi-surface or wood floor formulas). Once I was all set up, I was ready to clean the floors. There are just two buttons on the device handle, power on/off and fluid spray. I hit the power button, and the SpinWave started... well... spinning. It was very quiet, and the spinning of the heads actually propelled the SpinWave slightly along the floor, so I didn't even have to push, just let it glide along and do its thing. The spray button reliably applied a consistent amount of solution to the area just in front of the SpinWave, which did a nice job cleaning the floors, both tile and laminate. I was pretty happy with the results. Using the SpinWave was quick and easy, the floor dried quickly, and looked great when I was done.

I have had this machine for about 5 years, it has never broken down. It scrubs hardwood and laminate gently. You just wash the pads. I mostly use it in winter when there is a lot of muddy dog prints. It is very easy to use.

The BISSELL - SpinWave Powered Hard Floor Mop - White/Titanium/Green (White/Silver/Green), Model 2039 is a decent lightweight cleaner that does have the ability to clean moderately dirty hard surface floors. Problems arise when the floor to be cleaned is tremendously dirty and ceramic, as my floors are. My bedroom floor always has a circular embedded dirt spot in front of my desktop computer where my wheeled chair and shoes spend a lot of time in that area. That area is always the hardest to clean, because of using my computer daily for hours at a time. When cleaning the floor with the BISSELL - SpinWave Powered Hard Floor Mop, I noticed that it will not pick up all of the embedded dirt on my floor and upon drying the floor had circular imprints of the scrubby pads. I had to take my old fashioned rag mop and go over the floor to remove the residue left behind. The cleaner used is strong enough to clean floors, but you might need to clean the floor twice, if it has a lot of dirt stuck on it. Even cleaning my kitchen floor produced the same circular imprints on the dried floor. I infer that the BISSELL - SpinWave Powered Hard Floor Mop is geared more for hardwood flooring, which is easier to clean than any flooring that gets dirt soiled or embedded on it.

My first impressions of the spin mop were that it was very durable and very high quality. The regular and scrub pads look like they will last you through several uses and washes. 2 bottles of cleaning solution are included so i poured in the appropriate amount for a smaller surface since i have a small kitchen. The spinning action feels like it is giving the floor a pretty good cleaning and even may pull you in a different direction by force. Just make sure you keep a firm grip on the handle. The scrubbing pads did a pretty good job although you may have to add some extra pressure to get the tough grit. Overall I was very pleased with the cleaning results. The only negative thing about this "mop" is the size of the cleaning head in general. It does not get into small places where a traditional mop would get into. It is not good for the bathroom for example. The large spinning heads are good for wide open areas like a kitchen or hallways but will not get into smaller spaces like next to or around the toilette. Overall this is a very good product and I would recommend it since it does get the floors nice and clean. It reminds me of a professional spinning cleaner you would see in an industrial setting.

    Great on Tile

Our house is mostly tile, with carpet in the bedrooms. One room has 16" black marbled tile which is very shiny when clean. When we want it to look it's best it usually requires getting down on hands and knees and cleaning it with a no-streak window cleaner and paper towels, where mops have always left this tile with streaks regarless of the cleaning solution. Not so with the SpinWave, the tile came out with a nice shine and no streaks. The rest of the tile in the house is a lighter cream color and after a quick squirt of the solution you could see the moisture on the tile but a few passes left it clean and looking pretty dry. I didn't have to apply much pressure around the entry way doors, which usually need the most cleaning and have required scrubbing with some of the other mops we've owned. Overall I'm pleased with the way the SpinWave works. I like that when the handle locks in the full upright position and when in this position the mop doesn't operate.

I have about 1000 square feet of my home in laminate and have been using a floor mop with the spray function on the front. The current mop does just fine however it takes some hard back work to get sticky spills or scuffs of the floor. By the time I am finished my back is sore and I'm a bit sweaty. When my Bissell arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. I used the included scrub pads since we have a lot of spills that require some extra muscle. This thing is amazing! As soon as you turn it on it starts spinning and glides effortlessly over your floor. PROS - quiet, easy, doesn't leave wet streaks like traditional hard floor mop, no effort to maneuver. CONS - when you push the spray button it beeps (I don't mind it but my dog hates that sound), wish it also had a vacuum (you need to vacuum first before using) and the cost. I think this product should be priced between $50-$75. Overall, I love this product, just think it should be a tad cheaper.

The BISSEL SPINWAVE was nicely packaged and was easy to put together. It was a bit confusing since the unit puts cleaning solution ON the floor, but doesn't pick it up .... that's a second step you have to do. The PROS were that it was easy to fill with water & solution. The unit practically moved itself across the floor. I think it would clean okay on completely flat floors. I, PERSONALLY, wouldn't use on my wood floors, but that's me... I don't clean my wood with "water". The CONS .. I have natural travertine floors, so it sort of cleans the surface but because the "scrub brush" is flat and isn't a "brush" (just soft cleaning pads) AND there is only 1 speed, it doesn't clean any of the crevices nor does it really "scrub" the floors.

    Annoying Beep

If you have lots of sealed flooring that needs to be wet mopped, this works great to keep them clean. Instead of mostly using your body weight to move that mop with reusable pads and clean those rough spots, you're relying on the spinning action of the SpinWave for the cleaning action. Unfortunately, every time you press the button to spray the floor, the mop beeps. This gets really annoying really fast. Apart from the constant beeping, the SpinWave does a great job to clean the floors. The pads are machine washable but require washing separately and with liquid detergent, not pods, which we haven't used in a long while. Worthy replacement with the two possible exceptions. Do make sure you sweep / vacuum first. That's a must.

I purchased this yesterday at my local Best Buy and tested it out and am very pleased with the performance of this mop. I love that you can wash the mop heads for repeated use and the spin motion of the mop really does all the work for you and works very well.

i have tried different floor cleaners and different pads to try to clean my tile floor in my kitchen. None of them seemed to clean the floor as well as I liked. The only thing that worked was getting down on my hands and knees. After using the spinwave the first time, I knew i had something good. It doesn't use a lot of cleaner and cleans my tile floors very well. The only downside is that I need to find a place to keep it. It is obviously bigger than a broom, so it does take up a bit of space. That is really my only complaint. But considering how well it cleans my tile floor, it is definitely worth it.

In my opinion, this thing spins the dirt around and grounds it into the floor. I would not buy again. The floor is NOT clean after using it. I then have to use a microfiber regular mop. I truly this thing just spreads the dirt around. I agree with the person who said it makes the floors dull looking.
