This cleaner is great for small areas. I only have 2 rooms with carpet so this works just fine. If you are needing larger rooms cleaned, you would have to empty and refill the solution bucket several times. I was able to clean a small bedroom with two fills. Be sure to vacuum first. Overall, it does the job of cleaning and deodorizing the carpet.

We have just added a cat to our family which as caused some spotting on carpet. We rented a cleaner once with fair results. Our Friend suggest this unit and we are very happy with the results

I love the small size because I don't have a lot of room to store it. It cleans well. I have an area rug & carpeting in my bedroom only. I knew that a cleaning service wouldn't come for such a small space. This carpet cleaner helped me a lot!

Having 2 dogs and not taking our shoes off, our main entry way carpet was pretty dirty. After a thorough vacuuming, this clean away 95% of any signs of dirt and refreshed the carpet. Any major stains were pre treated and came up after the passes with the Bissell. I would only recommend this for small areas or apartments since you will have to empty the dirty water container a few times.

I needed to replace my old cleaner of 15+ years and decided to stay with the same Brand. What I do like; The price was the biggest pro. It does clean well but I don't like the extra spots of dirty water left behind on the floor. One needs to be aware and vacuum them up fairly quickly. Important not to over saturate the carpet and vacuum over the area without using solution several times plus and carpet will dry faster. The process of cleaning the system is easy and the machine is light enough in weight to pick it up and place over my sink and use the hand sprayer to clean the underneath brush system. The biggest cons are that it doesn't have a "water only" selection like my previous cleaner. This means it must always be mixed with a cleaning solution to work properly. If you try to hand spray a stained spot then fill the tank and clean with water only it will run right through in no time. The other con is the cleaning solution given as a sample. Yes, it works real well and cleans the carpet but the fumes from the fragrance were WAY overpowering. The harsh scent made it difficult to breathe. So glad it was a nice enough day to open windows and air the house out for a long while. I will need to find a different cleaning solution before I use it again.
