I don't know who designed it, but they put the fan on the bottom, so when you are trying to vacuum things up, the fan ends up scattering the dirt more. The battery did not last long and not even a year later, I had to buy a different hand vac. I was definitely disappointed because it was not cheap and I expected it to last longer than a year. The filter also started to fray and you can only buy replacements through the company, not in stores.
