Such a classic, great movie and sound. Picture quality is good

It's a war movie, so it feel appropriate to get this in SteelBook form. That said, the front image is extremely similar to the wide 4K release. Also, it has a matte finish and no embossing/debossing to speak of. The packaging definitely seems like an afterthought from Sony, but the A/V caliber of this release is phenomenal. The SteelBooks coming from Disney at least seem to be worth the price premium over the regular edition. This one, with the same price premium . . . not as much.

The 4K really makes this film that much better. The cinematography is amazing and the story is well thought out from the different characters’ perspectives.

This is an excellent military movie with lots of action and very good acting by the entire cast. I already had this movie but upgraded to the 4K because many of the scenes are at night and were dark making it difficult for me to see what was happening. The 4K HD picture is superior in dark scenes. I am pleased. And I highly recommend this movie. It gives you a great sense of pride and respect for our military which they deserve especially now in this political climate.

Knowing this story comes from true events will make you want to kick the United Nations out of New York and withdraw the USA from further participation. The 4k video is at the level to be expected. CAVEAT -- This disc is listed on some sites as also being in Dolby Vision format. This is not listed on the slip cover or case. Sound: Dobly Atmos; 7.1. Excellent center channel and bass kicks in battle scenes. The sound definitely will not disapppoint. Highly recommend this 4K burn.

Love this movie and only had the DVD. In the 4k version there are a couple scenes where it is really black around the top of the screen.

Stick with blue ray. Neither big improvement over audio or video from blue ray. But it was on sale and still classic Riddle Scott true story to never forget those who served and lost.

I sought a lot of action and I got it! I didn't realize I had seen this before until I turned it off. The more I watched the better it got.

Still the great movie I remember, looked even clearer and had more special features than the DVD. Made the movie even better.

Have been waiting for years to get this in 4K and it finally became available. Looks and sounds great on my home theatre system.

This was a good movie made even better with the 4k transfer. The colors pop and the detail is great. A very nice steelbook also.

I recently upgraded to a 4K player to go with my 4K tv. BHD is one of the first titles I purchased in 4K. The differences in picture quality from the dvd release is a huge upgrade. The differences between the Blu-ray release and the 4K are subtle but noticeable. Flesh tones are more lifelike and not as saturated with tint that’s either blue or yellow depending on the scene. It’s little details like that, that make an upgrade worth it. Especially if you’re not picky about stuff like that.

Great movie of course for most have already seen it. This is a very good 4k transfer from a 20 y/o movie. Detail and clarity cleaned up from original bluray. Good blacks. But the atmos audio is where it's at. All the sound effects from a war movie you can expect with guns, weapons, and explosions panning thru surrounds. But the Helicopter flyovers are exceptional with impact, depth, and height effects. The 4k does not feel dated and was "remastered" well. Buy it audio enthusiasts.

I know this movie has been out before, but it looks amazing on 4k. It gives it awesome detail and superior sound. A must buy.
