I have been waiting five years to give up my iphone. I will definitely miss imessages and support at the Apple store but this amazing keyboard and long battery life along with android and the phone's sleek design and sturdy feel to it will make it a very easy and very worthwhile change.

    Great Phone

I have only had BlackBerry phones for the last 10 or so years. I upgraded from the Classic - this phone has everything I loved about BlackBerry (keyboard, email efficiency, data security) with all the apps that used to make me jealous. I actually like the feel of the Classic better (this is a big phone), but I think the added functionality of Android MORE than makes up for it. It worked out of the box with the ATT SIM card from my old phone. It's fast, has great battery life and solid cameras. Looking forward to seeing BlackBerry get back in the game.

Purchased the Blackberry KeyOne as soon as it was available and now after only 6 weeks the front glass panel for the display is hinged off because it came unglued. Poorly made device.

    Battery Life!

This phone is absolutely ridiculous. I can go 3 days without charging if I really want. I am loving the physical keyboard after being an iPhone/ android user since the first one came out. Build quality seems to so far be great. I haven't had any issues with lag. I had a galaxy s8 for about a week before I got my keyone. I do have to say I chose the keyone over the s8 as I believe it is a better phone overall for me.

To put it simply every other review on here is correct, this phone is amazing. Getting 2 days of battery life with telegram constantly going, never slows down or stutters when playing games with other apps in the background. The fingerprint reader is fast and accurate. Screen is plenty bright and colors are accurate without being over saturated like other competitors. Keys are nice and clicky without being too hard or mushy. Having the short cuts is super nice never have to touch the screen to open a app. Some apps even let you use the fingerprint reader instead of a password. Size is great it might only be a 4.5 inch screen but its wider then most so websites and apps work wonderfully on it with minimal letterboxing on media while the width makes it comfortable to hold. Speaker is good for being a mono speaker nice and loud with a full range and good bass. Having the touch sensitive keys makes one hand use a breeze for scrolling and taking pictures.

With the KEYone, BlackBerry has most definitely hit the mark they must have been aiming for. BlackBerry has been able to incorporate their topnotch keyboard (which they have made even better), put their own touch and security into the Android OS, and then fit the two into a very high quality handset. The keyboard does everything previous BlackBerry keyboards have done while also integrating well with the touch screen in both portrait and landscape positions. The fingerprint sensor on the space bar is well positioned and very quickly unlocks the phone. The rest of the buttons feel sturdy and within a couple days of use typing and using the keyboard touch capabilities became very easy and straightforward to use. The screen (just slightly smaller than the Samsung S8 and iPhone 7/8) does not feel too small and works well for reading websites or watching video. I would also add that the screen size works great in landscape mode for reading and using the keyboard to scroll. BlackBerry has kept with providing monthly security updates to Android OS. The look and feel of the OS is very customizable and doesn't get in the way like some other versions seem to (in my opinion). The software comes across as refined and crisp. Last but not least, the hardware. The handset itself is stylish, practical, and durable. I have not felt the need to use a case at all (a sleeve case while not in use does the trick). The back has grip to it, the thick rounded edges are easy to hold, and the keyboard and screen are always in position for easy use. One final comment....I am not a camera pro user so for pictures I take, when out and about, look great to me. The phone is definitely different. However, not to long ago another company use to ask people to "Think Different". This phone is different and different in so many ways that just make sense! It's the best phone I've owned. Thank you BlackBerry and thank you Best Buy for carrying this phone! This whole review was written on my KEYone... piece of cake!

    Blackberry has returned!

I have had the phone for close to a year and it has been a good phone overall. After having an several iPhone's over the years it was time to change, while this is a new generation phone it has had its flaws, screen falling off (which was covered under warranty) it had to be sent back to Blackberry to obtain a replacement. I travel a bit for work and have rented approximately 25-30 vehicles in that time and have noticed the bluetooth could use some refinement as it tends to freeze when connecting to certain vehicles brands... Especially Cadillac CUE system, Volvo Sensus Connect, Land Rover's InControl, and sometimes FCA's UConnect. This is very annoying as the phone will start slowing down and eventually resetting itself, I have noticed that it will happen and at times work flawlessly on all the system above. Battery life is great, with heavy use I can go approximately eight (8) hours without have to plug. I couldn't do that with any of my iPhone's. Keyboard is awesome and reminds me what its like to actually type something on a phone, you can also choose to swipe on the phone which is awesome as well. I recommend this device and can't wait for the upcoming Blackberry to come out.

I had one for a few days and loved it so much I went back to Best Buy and got one for my wife. I love the accuracy of the keyboard. The battery life is phenominal. The build quality is solid. Android has come along way and I would recommend this phone to anyone who does more communication and browsing on thier phone that playing games. If you like android but miss the blackberry keyboard this is for you. One last thing, early models had report of screen issues and software lag. It seems both of these issues have been resolved. However, you need to get one made at a later date so I suggest going to Best Buy in person and try one out. Avoid ebay and Amazon for this particular phone.

It came! It came! I managed to get one thru Best Buy about 8:30 a.m. central time. I don't know how I did it because initial attempts proved to be futile on Amazon. Anyway - unboxed today - 46% battery on wake up. Set-up, downloaded, studied, customized, played with WiFi, Bluetooth, Securities all on and screen full throttle. Played some videos, etc. 3 hours later - 39% battery. That's insane. I have read all the issues - so far, none with mine. I did the table test as discussed, looks good. No lines in the screen. All buttons functioning. I have yet to insert a sim as mine was too large. I will get that tomorrow and see if there are any connectivity issues there. The speaker - it sounds good to me and I am a professional musician. My Samsung Active did not have this good of speaker. Looking at photos on my Active was more pleasing, but I don't think the image quality is much different. I will try the earbuds tonight, but I don't use that much. I have music all around and it's not coming out of my phone usually. I have been searching for a secure phone for over a year. I landed the rumors about this phone about 4 months ago and have been patiently waiting with a very sickly phone. If all goes well with the Sim tomorrow, I will have made it. Thank you Best Buy for coming through for me!

I'm so happy I got this phone. Waited for months for the release. Amazing battery is at 60% at 9:30PM after a day of moderate use. So nice to type on a real keyboard once again. Better than the classic thanks to the OS, I loved BB10 but the apps were not efficient like Android. Well done TCL!!

Keyboard will make you excel at work by getting 5x more e-mails down field than your competitors and battery life even after heavy use is about 48 hours per charge . However, reception and antenna make this phone not functional. The good news is I am sure there will be plenty of inventory when all of the returns start coming back , so don't worry about the sold out status. * also note I have t-mobile (yes I know basement dweller service) but I have family members that get stellar service in the same areas I lose service. Phone is really bad. In NYC I get dropped calls every other time I dial.

This is a solidly built, well-crafted design and long last battery life! Having both a physical and touchscreen keyboard are great alternatives and options. It allows you to avoid getting those sticky or numb fingers from touching those touchscreen screens all the time. The keyboard is sized just right as with the screen display. Forget iPhones, Galaxies, and other androids. Just becos everyone has one, doesn't make them any good! Besides, Blackberry has a renowned and legacy adhering to higher security and privacy standards. Get this! It's the best Blackberry ever made -- thus far!!! Besides, it's get you some old school cool street cred! ; )

The BlackBerry Keyone is honestly a dream come true. This is because it's a modern Android smartphone, but with an amazing physical keyboard! I loved my BlackBerry Classic, but I'm glad I upgraded. The Keyone has a bigger screen, way better camera, and the actual Playstore to download any app you want... Snapchat was MIA in BB10. This phone's battery is no joke either! You have to work hard to get this bad boy's juice drained. The buzz is true! Get this phone ASAP if you're a PKB fan.. You will love it!!

My previous device was the BlackBerry PRIV which was plagued by overheating issues and a slow chipset. I purchased this device knowing that if these issues persisted that I would return it. Overall, I am very impressed with this device. There was only some slight heating in the beginning when I was going through a device transfer and I have not seen a heating issue since. This device is lightening quick and the battery is amazing. I was hesitant with this mid range chipset, but it is well matched to the operating system and I have not suffered performance issues. Huzzah to TCL/BlackBerry!
