Best Blackberry up to date
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate to say this but I like the Blackberry Motion better than the KeyOne so far. Just the extra screen space and the keyboard itself is not bad. The camera is up to par with the KeyOne and it has not lagged on me once since I got it. Would recommend it to anyone, does not overheat and theres constant software updates coming in. The battery life is also better than the KeyOne. Keep up the good work BB.

Solid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a mid range phone, BUT......Once you use the phone for a week or so you definitely start to really like and appreciate the BlackBerry features. The phone is a little slow at times but nothing a update or two can't fix. So I say go for it

Battery sipping, buttery smooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is by far the best android phone I’ve owned. There is no bloatware running in the background chewing memory and battery, stock android with the exception of detek security and BBM, you load what apps YOU want, it allows you to pretty much control what the apps are doing. The detek software lets you see what apps are doing in the background without you knowing, for example how many times an app accessed your camera or microphone or location. And you know if they should or shouldn’t be, It also lets you know if any malware has changed the inner workings of the phone among other things. This phone opens apps and pages nice and smooth. You don’t need the latest snapdragon processors to run efficiently. Good job Blackberry. The camera takes good pictures, i have no problem with it or the quality. The battery life is superb, its unbelievable, if you use a lot of social media apps and multitask you’ll appreciate it as well as Blackberry Hub which is very convenient for all notifications in one spot and its customizable. And I cannot forget about the Blackberry keyboard!!! If you do a lot of texting or write emails as well as social networking you’ll love it, there is a reason people say its one of the best keyboards on the market ,you need to give this an honest try. I would highly recommend this phone. I have ATT as my carrier. I sure am glad i gave this Blackberry a try. Simple, secured , very nice looking, runs smooth i get a lot of compliments on it. Im keeping it.

Good Phone ... so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first day with the phone, buy I am encouraged by what I've experienced so far. I'll begin with this is a "solid phone" . Hardware. The build quality is very good. The phone does not feel too light or heavy but it is mostly metal with dragon trail glass front and a rubberized matted back. The home button is a physical button that you can press and doubles as a fingerprint scanner. You can also flick up or down on the home button to get the top menu to open and close. Long live the LED notification light! I missed this with my LG, but it is here on the BB Motion. Camera quality is better than I expected based on the reviews. It has an easy software interface and the pics look pretty good to me. The phone feels pretty good in the hand but the edges could stand to be a little more rounded. It is a handsome device in a spartan kind of way. Software. Stock Android with a few BlackBerry touches. I like it. Admittedly I am not used to using a hub for all my inboxes. BlackBerry hub has reminded me how convenient and time saving this is. I also like the blackberry predictive keyboard which makes for faster typing. The security app and convenience key and task shortcuts are nice features as well. This phone is definitely designed for productivity. Software is where the largest learning curve is here if you really want to love this device and take advantage of the efficiency centered items. Battery. 4,000 may. Need I say more? So far I have over 4 hours of screen on time in this first charge cycle with heavy use over the last 10 hours and I have 59% battery left. I'm guessing screen on will be between 9 - 10 hours. If you use the phone lightly I could see the phone lasting 48 hours between charges. Weatherproofing. Not a word I know but you get the point. IP67 rated, which I haven't verified but this is the first BlackBerry with this. A must for me as my phone gets wet fairly often. Performance. Despite a midrange Qualcomm 625 chip and 4 GB of ram, the phone does pretty well without much stuttering. I have noticed that app loading and switching isn't quite as fast as my LG V30 with top end specs. But this phone is no slouch and fully capable for the average user. I use this phone on T-Mobile and the coverage and call quality has been good. No noticeable difference versus my T-Mobile branded V30. I think this may be my new daily driver for a while. You must can't beat the battery life and it's a solid phone in all regards. Only negative is no wireless charging but it does have USB C port which is nice. I'd definitely recommend at this price point if you want a good phone that has a battery that'll last you ALL day.

Innovative tech keeps me loyal to BB
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so glad BlackBerry caught up. But not only did they catch up but they have managed to surpass the competition while maintaining the features that we BB users value most. For instance, the layers of security and ability to access PlayStore without the need to sideload apps (that was beyond frustrating). I was just about to jump ship with my Passport only because it lacked the apps I need to accomplish important tasks. I only hung in as long as I did because of BB security, speed, reliability and ability to manage tasks quickly for business such as composing emails. Anyway, I upgraded to the Motion about 8 months ago and have not looked back. Some complain about the photo quality but I found that I am able to take very good photos using its camera. The size of the large touch screen is perfect especially because I had been accustom to having a physical qwerty. I just upgraded again to the Key2 to get it back, need more space and because my daughter needs to upgrade from the BlackBerry Leap that was also on the old OS10 that everyone is so over. Overall, I enjoyed everything that the Motion has to offer minus the 32gb of storage. I had 64 with the passport and now again with Key2. If you use your phone for personal and business. You definitely need more than 32gb. I learned the hard way. But as long as BlackBerry Mobile continues rocking out phones that are durable and up to date with the latest tech and features and beyond, I am going to always carry a BlackBerry. I tried other phones and they don't compare especially when it it comes to productivity and security. I love that when BlackBerry releases a new device your phone doesn't suddenly start glitching to make you have to upgrade to another 700 phone. They just send updates to your phone and you keep moving. They always have and always will. I am also very pleased with the gorilla glass screen that is so durable. And as with every BB you can transfer phone to phone seamlessly without skipping a beat. I don't usually leave reviews for phones but after all BlackBerry is doing to keep up I felt I had to. Very happy with the motion just as I am sure I will be with the Key2 I am typing this on.

Not what I expected
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Missed the old blackberry so I decided to buy this when it came out. And it’s basically an android phone. Did not have the old blackberry feel to it.

Good combination Of Both BB and Android
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew all the specs on the Motion before buying it, I understood it did not have the latest and greatest CPU. I do not think most of the reviews on Android sites are giving this phone a fair review, 1) it comes with a Snapdragon 625, really not a bad CPU, nobody dinged the Moto Z Play that came with the same CPU, in day to day use I do not see it being detrimental in use, honestly, yes it is a little slower than a 821 or 825 but not by much at all. Unless you plan on doing a lot of gaming on your phone it really isn't noticeable. The Camera, it is fine for a phone ca,era, a little bit of trouble with night / dark shots, other than that the pictures I have taken with it are close to or equal to the quality of my $800 LG V30 As far as using the device as a phone, this part surprised me, the signal strength, both cell and data, on the Motion is better than my both my 2 AT&T Branded phones. Battery life specs I always take with a grain of salt because everyone's phone usage is different but I really tried to beat on this phone using it for multiple long phone calls, 5 hours & 37 minutes of screen on time, 3 push email accounts, dozens of text messages, and a few You Tube videos, no battery saving features turned on, and after 17 hours and 39 minutes I had 29% battery left. With medium use this phone will last well into day 2, with heavy use a good 22 hours straight or more. The phone is still an android phone, the Blackberry software included is nice to have and is reminiscent of the old Blackberry days. Much like a BB Z30 mixed with an Android phone. As for price, here I agree with the reviewers, the Motion is probably a bit overpriced for what it is. but it is also unique in the line of mid range phones, if you do not care at all about having the Blackberry suite of software than yes, it's an overpriced phone, I feel the extra $50-$75 or so that the phone is overpriced at is worth having the combination of Android and Blackberry and one heck of a battery.

Great phone at excellent price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the things that makes this phone so good is the Blackberry tweaked software. There's a couple of levels to this tweaking: the first is their convenience template brought over from the OS 10 (Hub, Keyboard etc.); the second is their security which is deeper the further you dig into the device. For instance, the embedded (default) calendar is not Google's but their own. And though you can add an optional calendar, it still relies on the default to function. Same with contacts and perhaps the dialer. Android is a flexible OS usually tweaked to be cute, BBerry has tweaked it to be more secure. Battery is, BTW, Godzilla.

Excellent well made sturdy phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far...so great! I have been an exclusive Blackberry user for the past 16 years. This is the most secure Blackberry yet. Similar to the PRIV, but upgraded a bit. This model "MOTION" is so well made and perfect for business. This is not a phone for the "millenials", there are no nonsense apps and features. It is a beautiful, handsome work horse. Excellent battery life. I hope that Blackberry continues. I wish they would market their product more and make a come back. This is a great marriage of Blackberry features, security and the Android OS (Nougat). I am very pleased.
