No google home unless you pay more

Says it takes color night vision but could only get black and white to work. Has a light which can be turned on. Made a clicking noise when activated like a mechanical shutter opening noise. Better off just paying the extra for a nest camera if you're looking to have it work with Google devices.

I am sorry to hear your not satisfied with your Blink Mini camera. Another option to a subscription is a sync module. A Sync Module is a hub that plugs into an electrical outlet to relay commands and network details to devices in the system it manages. It connects to your Wi-Fi network to handle activity for up to ten Blink devices and enable you to save clips without a subscription. A USB drive or microSD card is required to store clips. Very unreliable I've had to get one replaced on warranty already. They also spontaneously disconnect, and then need to be reset etc to get them reconnected it's a pain. Last the app is awful, and the phone app is the only way to work with the cameras, manage the recordings etc. Spend a few extra dollars and get the Google Nest Cams - sooo much better.

I'm still trying to figure out the connection to the wi-fi so have little info to give about the recording aspect. They are stylish and fit in small spaces.
