I have several of these watching the house and condo. The oldest ones are over a year old, and have never failed connecting, or observing and triggering appropriately.

Only issue is a bit grainy of a view and the audio output is a little rough. Other than that for 40$ on sale it’s definitely worth it.

You have to go into app often to see video clips. I purchased it to see my cat when away but if you are wanting it for security I would not get it. Most times I walk up right up to it and it will not record but if I move a toe while sitting on the couch it immediately starts recording

It worked for the first few months. It "sees' us when we're there and we get alerts WHEN it works. However, when we check in on the house from away, periodically it shows as off line. The only fix we found was to unplug the power and re-insert the plug. Pretty annoying. The sound is pretty poor too.
