Decent Entry Level Security System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Blink Outdoor 2K+ with Sync Module Core is a sensible wireless security system for someone looking for an entry level camera system that is easy to set up and use, and doesn’t mind having a subscription plan. Setting up the Blink Outdoor 2K+ is simple and quick. Download the Blink Home Monitor app, create an account, and then follow the instructions to add the Sync Module Core and the Outdoor 2K+ camera. Within the app, features such as video quality, video recording length, motion detection zones, arm/disarm scheduling, and cloud video viewing can be performed. I own the previous Blink outdoor 4 1080p camera, and the latest Blink 2K+ camera is definitely much sharper, crisper, and shows greater detail than the Blink 4. I notice that the two way audio communication is also improved as background noises are effectively screened out with the noise cancellation technology. The Blink 2K+ is advertised with “Color Night Vision” that allows the camera to continue to provide color video even in low light. In my testing, I did not notice any difference when compared with the Blink Outdoor 4. The Blink Outdoor 2+ seems to change to black and white video as soon as the light levels dim just like my Outdoor 4. The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is powered with two AA lithium batteries with a claim that the batteries will last up to 2 years. Of course this will depend on a number of factors such as the video settings and how often the camera is running. I like that AA lithium batteries are used in the camera since they are easy to replace. The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is shipped with the Sync Module Core which does not have a local storage option. It comes with a 30 day trial of Plus Plan which is the full featured subscription plan that allows for person and vehicle detection, live recording, and cloud recording. With no subscription plan, the system only has motion activated notifications and allows viewing of a live video feed with no ability to record. It is evident that the camera system is only effective if one purchases the subscription plan. Although the Sync Module Core is shipped with the Blink 2K+ camera, the camera will work fine with the Sync Module 2 and the Sync Module XR, both of which allow local storage, which is a better option for those who want this additional basic feature. Do I recommend the Blink Outdoor 2K+ with Sync Module Core? The video quality of the camera is a noticeable improvement over the previous generations, and because of this single improvement, I think the 2K+ camera is a worthy purchase. For those that want a no hassle plug and play system, and are okay paying for a monthly subscription plan, this is a good entry level security system. This is a solid 4 out of 5 star system. I am taking off one star only because the security system packaged with the Sync Module Core is almost useless without the subscription plan.

Ironically named BLINK Security keeps steady watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blink - Outdoor 2K+ 2K video resolution, Color night vision, 2-way audio. I’m new to the Blink security camera family, and I’m impressed with the ease of setup and the complete suite of features that result in an expansive home or business monitoring system. As my test photos show, the management of the video clips is convenient, and the video clips are very detailed. It’s important to follow the setup guidance and read the hints. For example, the color night video feature requires a non-intuitive choice of settings to ensure the infrared lighting is disabled and only ambient light is illuminating the protected area. A porch light is usually sufficient to see those color images. Details and observations follow, but I can share here that I find the signal strength at greater than usual distances, the quality of the video clips, and the feature set will serve my needs very nicely. SETUP: This Blink package includes both the very discrete, all-black 2K camera and a Sync Module Core which effectively extends the camera’s range, enabling the camera to be truly wireless. It can accept 10 additional cameras (or other Blink devices) as a system. Start the Blink camera system process by installing the Blink App from either the Apple iOS or Google Play stores on your phone. Plug in the Synch Module from the package, which includes cable and power brick. From within the app, ADD “+” the Synch Module. Then ADD the camera, which requires installing the included Lithium Batteries. Blink includes a 30-day trial of its Subscription plan, although it offers a number of its features with no subscription required and Live View is always available. The important feature you do lose is storage of video clips. Because of the Trial Subscription, I’m not confident about how these advanced features might work if I don’t continue the subscription. [Blink still offers the older Synch Module 2 with a USB drive and/or the Synch Module XR with a MicroSD card for local recoding.] PERFORMANCE and SUMMARY: The Blink Outdoor 2k+ camera is an improved version, with higher resolution, low-light color images, noise cancellation for improved 2-way communications with a visitor or intruder, a 4x zoom feature, smart detection (requires a subscription), and superior severe weather protection. The settings are comprehensive, allowing for every setting to be modified, every audio or video sensitivity to be adjusted to maximize battery life or improve performance. The 2-way communication is truly useful because background noise is controlled and lag time is short. Keeping the Synch Module and camera distances short seems to help improve lag times and image quality, which can be quite sharp and detailed. Subscription plan packages are reasonably priced, especially for larger systems with the Blink Plus Plan. It includes unlimited cloud storage (up to 60 days) and adds an unlimited number of devices supported. This plan extends your ability to stream video from the standard 5 minutes out to 90 continuous minutes. The two features which contribute most to my positive recommendation are the remarkable, up to 2-year, promised battery life using lithium batteries (non-rechargeable) in the camera, and the true, wireless camera design of this very small, discrete camera that is built for bad weather.

Nicely Upgraded Starter Kit, Crisp Recordings
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera kit from Blink. It’s clear that they’ve learned from their prior products and this one just feels right - from the design of both the camera and sync module, to a great image quality and features, to the minimal and well-organized packaging… and of course, the price. I’ve been consistently happy with the quality of Blink’s cameras ever since they released the Blink 4 model that introduced their modernized design language. Wireless connections have been stable... and with an even greater image quality, I really like this 2k model. __ Design and Features __ With the exception of the lens area, this model looks nearly identical to the Blink 4. It still takes 2 lithium AA batteries and lasts a long time, giving you more flexibility for placement location without a lot of maintenance. They’re weatherproof and can take a hard rain better than a lot of other cameras on the market too. The Blink 4 was already a clear pick for me when it was released, but this model improves upon that by recording a more crisp, detailed image. At night, you also gain what Blink calls ‘color vision in low light’ in addition other normal night vision, which is in black and white. This seems to work buy amplifying very low light conditions to present an image that appears bright and well lit. In my testing, light leaking out of my windows was enough to keep recording in color outside, even when it appeared pitch black. Once those lights were turned off, the camera went into normal night vision. It’s a great feature, making this the only camera we own that records in color well into the evening. The included sync module gets plugged inside and works great. I’ve always had a solid connection with the camera and setup was a breeze. A quality wall mount is included too. __ Blink Service __ Blink feels like a no-nonsense brand. Their camera’s are affordable and perform well, while their app is simple but has also improved over time. Accessing clips from this camera is simple, along with the added benefit of notifications when people and vehicles are detected if preferred (through their affordable subscription) __ Summary __ Blink really nailed it here. The camera improves on the already great Blink 4 with greater image quality and color night vision, while the included sync module gets any new Blink owner up and running with an easy setup and everything they need. Their comparable affordability rounds out a great package. These are great cameras for clip-based recording and perfect for simple security, live viewing, and notifications for things happening around your home.

Great Camera System with Long Battery Life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using Blink camera system for many years, and it has been a reliable and effective solution for home camera security system. It includes the Sync Module that integrates my existing Blink camera as well as the newer models. The camera is designed for outdoor placement wirelessly and is able to perform for long period of time without needing to change the batteries. Blink rated the battery life at up to two years for 1080P resolution with typical use. In my past experiences, battery life is great and can last up to one year. With the 2K performance of the new camera system, I would expect the battery to last more than 6 months if not the whole year. Installation: Easy to install and perform initial setup. I used my iPhone to do it and already had the Blink app ready to add the new device. All that it took was scanning some QR codes on the devices. The kit includes an outdoor camera mount, and it was easy to install. I just needed to drill two holes to secure the mount on the wall. Camera System Performance Car and human detection work great and every time there’s an event, it will push notification to user’s phone. Users can customize the length of the clip. Video and audio quality are great. Both videos and audio are clear. There’s a 4x zoom capabilities, which work well. Although there's no built-in light, I use a motion sensor light, so it's not a problem for me. Subscription and Alexa Integration Subscription services are standard for home camera systems these days. Blink subscription model offers good value with options for one camera or more. Without subscription the camera can still push notification and provide live view to user’s phone and Amazon devices, but it will not record the video and audio feed. Of course, Alexa integration works great. I can tell Alexa to show live feed from my camera and zooming in on the live feed. App performance The iPhone app works great. However, while it works great with my iPhone and Alexa device, it does not work well with Galaxy Fold 7. There’s a glitch in which the newly added camera did not appear on the device list. So, I re-added the camera to the app and the app says device added but the new camera still does not show up on the device list. It’s not major issue for me since the iPhone app works fine but if I only use an Android phone, that may be a big problem. This issue is unlikely for most Android users but may affect those with existing Blink camera system using the same phone model as mine. I can still access the clips from my Android phone, but I can’t access live feed. Final Thoughts This is a solid camera system, which integrates well with the Alexa/ Amazon ecosystem. The subscription system offers good value. Battery life and camera performance are great, however, it may not work that well with a specific Android phone model. Pros: Easy to setup and install Battery life Video and audio quality Alexa/ Amazon integration Cons: Does not work well with Samsung Galaxy Fold 7

Better Than Expected with Impressive 2K Video
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Blink camera turned out to be much better than I expected. I’d always seen Amazon’s Blink cameras and wasn’t a fan of their simple, almost cheap-looking design. But after setting this one up and actually using it, my opinion changed. This wireless camera is rated for outdoor use with 2k video, two way audio, smart detection and noise cancellation. Setup is very straightforward. The first step is plugging in the Sync Module and connecting it to Wi-Fi through the Blink app (available on iOS and Android). After that, you just insert the batteries into the camera and add it through the app. The whole process took me about 2–3 minutes. Once connected, I was able to view the live feed right away. The 2K image quality is impressive, especially for how small and lightweight the camera is. It also includes AI-powered person and vehicle detection, unlimited cloud storage, and unlimited devices, though all of that requires a Blink subscription. Overall, I’m really enjoying the camera, while it is not on the premium side it is a great budget security device with impressive video quality, clear audio and responsive microphone. My only concern is how I’ll feel once the free trial ends and lose most of those features. I’d like to have the option to use the camera without being pushed into a subscription. In the box, you’ll find the camera, AA batteries, the Sync Module, a USB-C to USB-A cable, a 120V plug, and the mounting hardware.

Small, but not mighty
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.--- SETUP --- The Blink camera is quick and easy to set up. The white transmitter needs to be permanently plugged into an outlet close to where the camera will be set up. The camera itself uses 2 AA batteries, of which are included in the package. Download the app using the QR code behind the transmitter, follow the on-screen guidance for setup, and you’re good to go. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- The blink camera is light and easy to conceal. It being black makes it blend well in the dark as well as dark background installation locations. It comes with a tool to remove the back to insert the batteries, but the same tool can double as an extender for the mount if you want to mount the camera on a ceiling instead of on a wall. The mount itself snaps on to the camera, and you will hear a satisfying click when you snap it so that you know for sure that you have installed it correctly. For me, the camera works very well. The image is clear, and I can hear the audio clear enough if needed. I installed it above a mandatory porch light that stays on all night at my apartment, so I always have a clear view even in the darkest of night. The transmitter itself is 50 feet away from the camera’s location, and I haven’t had an issue with the signal. If you disconnect the transmitter, you lose camera functionality. But, you can easily unplug it and move it to a new location without having to go through the installation process again. As far as subscriptions go, this is one of the most affordable plans you will find. The subscription includes 60 days of unlimited cloud storage, motion activated notifications, AI powered person and vehicle detection, blink moments (a compilation of your captures), live view recordings, instant video access, and photo capture. Without a plan, you only get access to motion activated notifications and a 5 minute live view limit. As of 2025, 1 camera plan costs $3.99 a month, and unlimited cameras are $11.99 a month. A drawback I found is that the device doesn’t capture all of the events with accuracy. It has missed a car or a person at times while I am watching the area it’s covering. In order for the camera to notify you of an event, the camera needs to be in armed mode. The times my camera has missed events, it has been in armed mode. --- APPROVAL --- Overall, it’s a great starter camera for peace of mind, but its inconsistency of capturing an even make me not want to recommend it.

Great picture quality. Setup process needs work.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pleased with the overall quality of this outdoor camera. The picture on the app is super clear. The motion detection is a bit sensitive, but I’d rather it be that way. I appreciate the speaker and microphone combo as they are both very clear. So far, it has worked as expected very well. Unfortunately, the setup process leaves a lot to be desired. I spent more than two hours going through failed attempts. I went to Blink’s website and nothing worked. I then went online, and after several searches, I finally got it to work by splitting my Wi-Fi between 7 and 2.4Ghz. I was able to hook it up, but knocked out my other cameras, which I had to reinstall. The app also needs serious work as I kept getting messages such as “the system is busy, please wait” and “Sync Module failed to connect”. Again, once everything is connected all cameras worked rather nicely, although I am not comfortable in splitting my Wi-Fi. Hopefully this is an isolated issue, or that Blink make some updates so that I won’t have to go through that again.

Blink 2K Outdoor 5 camera system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from the second generation Blink Outdoor cameras to the 2K Outdoor cameras. I have been using them for a couple months now. The 2K has considerably better quality video. The person detection has been perfect, no animal or blowing branch activations. After putting in a WiFi mesh system, I have not had any drop outs. Purchased for $175 on Black Friday deal.

Simple, sturdy, effective
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Blink camera system at least 4 years back. It was the best compact system with great battery life and simplest set up. There were a lot of other camera systems that came after that promising great quality and more robust features. Fast-forward to today, Blink came with the outdoor 2K camera which has the same core features that made Blink great, but now with the better quality and features. The design is the same square design—almost the same durable casing quality. It does feel a little hollow but it actually is very sturdy. I feel like I can drop it and not feel bad because the case seems like it can take a beating. Hardware is simple and stealthy. The sealing of the camera seems very tight. I know just by looking at it, setting up the batteries, etc, that this camera is going to outlast crazy outdoor weather. The set up is easy as it connects to a hub. Most hubless standalone camera systems take a lot of tries to set up. Blink still opts for the wireless hub until today which actually helps with the connectivity which I will discuss later. The app is easy to use with a lot of customizations without overwhelming me. The camera quality is good. With light, the video quality is crisp. In the dark, it is not bad at all, especially for a camera that does not use so much power. The best feature for me is still how I can easily fire the feed up from the app without the long wait. It does have motion detection zones, and pretty good sensitivity options and better informed notifications. A lot of other camera systems have that too, however. Sadly, a subscription is needed to record and to have the great notifications. It did not use to have that, but again, a lot of camera systems require that subscription to keep my videos. Of course I wish it has Google Home integration—but this is an Amazon brand. So I understand. Given its limitations, I think Blink still lives up to its no frills personality, and reliable camera system. It is a lot of camera for the money. I would recommend this to anyone who does not have issues with subscriptions and who needs a straight up camera system that you can easily install and use.

Review of the Blink Outdoor 2K+ Cam by a Homeowner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a dad who worries about the safety of my family and home, I needed a security camera that worked without the headache. The Blink Outdoor 2K+ has been that solution. It’s reliable, simple, and gives me real peace of mind. Everything you need comes in the box. I had it up and running in minutes: plug in the little Sync Module, use the app, and mount the camera. The best part is it runs on two AA lithium batteries, so there are no wires to run or outlets to find. I mounted it under the eaves by my front door and forgot about it. The camera is small, tough, and built for the weather. Rain, snow, or summer heat hasn’t been a problem. The video quality is excellent. I can clearly see faces at the door and read license plates in my driveway. The wide view covers my whole porch without looking warped. At night, if there’s a bit of light from a porch or street lamp, I still get color video. When it’s fully dark, it switches to a very clear infrared picture. It’s a huge step up from older cameras. The two-way audio is clear. I’ve used it to talk to delivery drivers without any issue, even with some street noise. The motion alerts are handy, and you can fine-tune them in the app to ignore areas like the sidewalk. If you choose the optional subscription, it can even tell you if the motion is from a person or a vehicle, which cuts down on unnecessary alerts. For a homeowner like me, this camera strikes the perfect balance. It’s completely wireless, delivers a sharp picture day and night, and works seamlessly. I don’t have time for complicated gadgets, and this one just does its job. The little Sync Module by my router lets me add more cameras later if I want to expand. The app is straightforward for checking in live, watching past clips, and managing settings. It’s a solid choice for keeping an eye on what matters most.

Perfect outdoor camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second Blink camera I have owned. The one thing I love about Blink camera is their simplicity. The box is small and has everything you need to get started, including the camera, mounting bracket, screws, and blink module. Set up is straight forward and if you already have blink cameras you can just add it to your current system. Quite possibly my favorite thing about Blink cameras is that they use regular AA batteries and last for a long period of time. Other cameras I have used require you to take them down and charge. With Blink, once your batteries are dead you simply replace them and move along. This camera is built solid and meant for the outdoors. Water and dust are no issues for it which is a necessity in the PNW where it is constantly raining. I still prefer to keep my camera under an eave or covered area. I feel like it just prolongs its life. One of the biggest upgrades on this camera is the video quality. The 2K resolution allows you to zoom without losing details. The quality allows you to get highly detailed video and photos of anyone trespassing on your property. Low light video is amazing and allows you to have color video even when it is dark outside. I love the smart detection which can tell the difference between people and vehicles, but this does require a paid subscription. The audio include noise cancelling which makes two-way conversations much more pleasant. If a stranger comes to my door I would much rather talk to them through the camera than open the door. It is also a good option if you are not at home. This Blink camera is great for someone who wants flexibility in their camera system. It can be easily mounted anywhere within minutes and does not require any wires.

Smart Blink Outdoor 2K
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blink Outdoor 2K plus 2K video resolution is a compact security camera with a big upswing. Setup was easy by just scanning the barcode to add the sync module which enables Wi-Fi connection first while waiting for lights to display blue and green and then add your outdoor camera which displays a blinking light when it is armed and detects motion. I like the fact that you can disarm and armed the Blink Security Camera. Once Motion Settings are enabled, the setting allows you to select what type of smart detection you want to record such as person, vehicle, and other motion. Since I live in a Condo the vehicle detection will not be useful since my car is not in view. You can also set motion sensitivity, motion zones to reduce unwanted alerts. The Blink even gives you the option to retrigger time after a motion event when the Blink Camera will not detect motion. Once everything is installed the Blink Outdoor plus 2K video camera chime when you get a notification. The picture quality is amazing with clear defined video resolution. The audio is clear. I setup the Blink camera right outside my Condo door installing with the two screws provided. The Video and Photo Settings feature give you access to motion clip length, video quality and option to end clip early if motion stops. With the Night Vision for the Blink camera it uses infrared LED lights to show images in low or no light situations. Video clips auto delete after 60 days. Disappointed that you have to get a subscription plan for cloud storage to save videos, extended live view and smart detection, but the bundle of smart features and options to make the Blink-Outdoor 2Kplus Security Camera with 2K video fit your needs is well worth the buy.

Much better than previous Gen 3
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having used Blink outdoor cameras for many years, I was glad to get this latest (Gen 4) unit to place outside my home. Being familiar with the setup of other devices in the Blink mobile app, this was a quick and easy install. I chose to buy an outdoor camera mount to go with it to enclose it against the elements. Compared to the prior generation (Gen 3) Blink outdoor camera, this one is much better. The picture is clearer and the annoying echo and hum ALWAYS heard on audio on the Gen 3 is now gone. In particular, the night time images are far better. As with previous gen, the device setup is the same, allowing you to easily set up motion detection zones and motion sensitivity. You can easily control the video details by setting the video quality, the motion clip length, and the infrared LED (IR) intensity. Based on the amount of motion that I have around this unit, the prior Gen 3 batteries would last about 3 to 4 months. I will be watching this Gen 4 unit closely to see if there is any difference in battery life.

good 2k option with subscription
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a camera at the back of my shop. This blink 2k camera does a great job at notifying me if there's issues in the back gated area. I was pretty surprised to open up and see AA batteries. This is my first blink camera. I guess I didn't pay attention to that prior to receiving it. I would prefer that it give me the battery percentage rather than just status being "ok." When I first opened up, I followed the setup instructions and then mounted it outside. Initially, I was unable to get a live view and there were little to no notifications for the first few days of any motion. I believed this to be an issue. I reached out for support and followed some troubleshooting steps. I moved the sync module to an outlet inside that was closer to where the camera was mounted outside. Slowly it seemed to display more and more clips as well as allow access to live video over a week or so. This was very odd to me but it seems to be working just fine now. The resolution is great. I can easily zoom into the gate to see if anyone is tampering with the locks. I can hear the sound just fine, but I haven't had the opportunity to utilize the two way communication. Depending on the battery life, I may add a battery extender so I won't have to replace the batteries very often. Again, I wish there was a percentage of the battery life so I can better see its efficiency. I wish it had a micro SD so that I didn't need the cloud storage or the subscription. I would absolutely recommend to those who don't care if it requires a subscription.

Cant beat its price!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used blink in the past and as I said before, you just can’t bet its price and performance of these cameras. I have a few of these indoor cameras monitoring some of my outbuildings now and I’ve never had any issues with them, so I was excited to finally get the outdoor camera to mount outside of my buildings. Setup was a breeze and might be the easiest setup of any camera system I’ve ever used. The app is easily navigable, and I quickly added this camera with 0 issues. I plugged in the module and mounted the camera quickly and easily. The quality of the video was great during the day and at night. I was unsure how the night vision would see but it’s been perfect and has been an upgrade from my older blink indoor cameras for sure. To access video from the past, you will need a subscription to the app, but again it’s absolutely worth it and it’s still cheaper than many other brands and systems. I 100% recommend the subscription, if you don’t have it your curiosity will eventually get the best of you and you’ll regret not having it, and will probably get it eventually anyway!

Stellar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a longtime user of Blink cameras at both my home in the Midwest as well as in the mountains of Colorado (with high elevation and bitter cold winter weather). Both Blink setips are rock solid stable over the last 4 years of using their products – 5 outdoor cameras in Midwest home and 6 outdoor units in the Colorado location. I have never had a problem in either location. I was interested to compare the quality of this new offering from Blink. Unboxing this product is typical of todays conscious effort to minimize waste and use recyclable product – they did well on this front. You get the camera, sycn module, mounting bracket, batteries and USB C cable for the module. Setup was simple as always especially for those familiar with Blink ecosystem, I opted to get rid of my older sync module in the Colorado home and switch all my cameras, including this new camera to this newer sync module. As a result, the setup time was about 20 minutes for all. For one camera I suspect 5 minutes. Comparing this camera to the Outdoor 4 camera showed this new camera smaller in footprint by approximately 25%. The daytime video was sharper on the new camera albeit not by much. The nighttime video, however was much improved. Please understand that in no light/low light areas the night video will be black and white but definitely clearer than the Outdoor 4. In lit situations at night (ie with a porch light), the night video will show in color. Unfortunately, in my Colorado home, we have quite strict rules regarding house light/porch light usage at night (to protect the sky views) so I will not be able to have the benefit of night colors. Not a knock on this product, just a reality in my situation that others may experience as well. The 2 way Audio works well and is clear on both ends. Be aware that to use all the features of the camera one needs a Blink subscription as with most security camera setups these days. The subscription service is competitive with other companies. All in all I am quite happy with his new Blink camera. Will I upgrade all my other cameras to this new version – likely not since I won’t get the benefit of the night color vision as noted above. If I could, I would consider upgrading. Good camera, great price compared to other companies and very stable product line. One other note that I love about the Blink ecosystem – due to lots of construction in my Colorado location, power gets turned off to the area frequently (on purpose for new construction needs) as well as accidental – cut lines by construction crews. This camera system boots back up perfectly every time and I have never needed to manually reset any of the cameras. This was quite a problem with other camera brands (very large companies with much more expensive cameras) as the cameras would need some kind of hands-on reset. Not ideal for one with a 2 home set up like I experience. This Blink system just simply works.

Great Value and Good Quality!

Not that the 1080p ones are bad either but the 2K have twice the resolution plus the Case looks like it is made out of more premium material to me. Another thing I noticed is the mic recordings are clearer which tells me that the noise cancelation must be effective along with I believe slightly improved mic hardware in general. To me the Blink cameras have always been a simple value driven solution to security camera systems and I have always been pleasantly surprised by their effectiveness and quality for the price. I really like them in fact as a persona that has tried and used many different camera brands from budget friendly to more premium and expensive solutions. I can honestly tell anyone that I do not think they will be disappointed if they invest in Blink Cameras. After buying my first set and having another Brand as well I chose to expand my Blink Camera system to include two floodlight cameras a doorbell camera and their indoor cameras in addition to my outdoor Blink cameras which are all 3rd gen up until trying this new one. My advice to anyone would be is to invest in some solar panels for your outdoor blink cameras and use rechargeable batteries. This way you get the benefit of having continuous power with absolutely no wires to run. It will let you use them however you want without worrying about the batteries and it’s a great set up. To me it’s the most sensible way to go and you really can not go wrong with a Blink system. The app works really well and is more intuitive and simple than most while providing a nice array of features and customizability to suite your needs. I would suggest providing at least dimly lit areas outside and leaving night vision off. You would be surprised how little light they need to produce good video and pictures at night. It usually looks better that way unless your camera is an area with no lighting at all.I also noticed that the Blink 2K Outdoors Cameras to a really good job at gathering light. A noticeable improvement for me over my gen 3’s and one of the better ones I have seen for use in areas with a small amount of light. They get the job done at a great price point.

Blink Amazon Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, For me, it took a few days of messing around to get the sync module to connect using an android device. I did have more success using an IPad. After several resets of the sync module, camera and router, I had an image! Unfortunately, the camera caught the motion image, but froze constantly. I watched a video to see how the camera normally operates to verify I may just have a unit that does not work. Some reviewers had success while others ran into connectivity issues. I think more research needs to go into firmware capatibility with connectivity handshakes! To purchase this is a minimal cost and you may have success and if so, it will be a great camera. The image it captured actuallly had a very clear picture but continued to freeze. I left it stay connected to the internet for a few few days and found it was actually working better (self heal) and possibly needs a firmware update to correct sluggish operation. You will need a subcription to continue the control benefits like most camers on the market.

Camera is Ideal to Add Another Front Door View
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was super easy to install. Blink does have the process minimized and at a point where it is does secure a very reliable connection to the Sync Module and camera. Basically the Quick Start Guide mentioned just three steps including the installation of the Blink Home Monitor app. Once the app is installed you simply click the + sign in the upper right and the app will move you smoothly through the install. I did utilize the Sync module that came with this camera although I do have other Blink Sync modules so I could have added this camera to one of my other Sync Modules. Note the Sync modules are plugged into 120 VAC using the included adapter and cable. The camera uses 2 AA batteries that are included. It did appear that my cell phone had to be on the same network access point as where I installed the Sync Module; if not the connection will not be established. Once the connection is made the Sync Module firmware will update. I then added the camera and it connected within seconds. The camera then did a firmware update also. The camera video was beautiful, clear and colorful. Two way audio also was clear and crisp. I did choose the better camera resolution option in settings instead of longer AA battery life since I use the camera on my front porch to provide better facial details than my doorbell camera can. An important point about this camera is the excellent waterproof seal that it utilizes, tip of my cap to the Blink engineers for a very well designed security camera at an affordable price. I do highly recommend this camera for its build quality, features and ease of installation.
