Blink Cameras

I brought mine last year and connected them myself. They connect to my Echo Show and I just say "Alexa, show me what is on camera ??? ", and it shows. Only records detected motion at a level of censoring you pick. I have not had to replace the batteries yet and not wires! Worth every penny so far.

I believe these cameras are very good for use around the house. Three only thing I have seen that I don't like is anything beyond about 40 to 50 feet is not that clear. Battery life is good so far and installation was a breeze.

no longer compatible with older system.

The new blink cameras of the same model are no longer compatible with my old system. The brakets are screw on as opposed to the old system of push clip. The sum total of all my cameras now have to run on two systems making the cumbersome to download and use.

Comparing to arlo, it’s about the same-aesthetics come into a factor here. Whatever looks better. Arlo gives free downloads which saves for a week for up to five cameras. Blink you have to pay for after a month of trial. Unless you have the back-up card and you delete when it gets full. It’s a good system.

More like 3-6 months battery life depending on settings and activity around the camera.

Its an ok camera

I do use a lot of batteries since I'm always using the motion sensor and it tends to freeze at times but its ok for me
