Just like many others say, these cameras are not reliable, the main complaint is they will activate sometimes. The second complaint is that the app seems to be full of software bugs, we just had an incident where someone tried to break in into our house, trying to watch the video in a computer and all recent (48hrs) records were suddently gone and I lost the evidence I was able to see at some point on my phone, this is a very disappointing thing to happen when you need them the most... Then Amazon support is VERY slow, I would only buy them for random things like observing nature but not as a security camera.

This has been incredibly frustrating! We had two Blink mini cameras that worked just fine. We added another camera and it switched us to a MANDATORY subscription plan. Had I known this would happen, I would not have added the additional camera. The comments in the Q&A, say you will be "grandfathered in" with your plan. This is not correct. These are useless if they cannot record. After much back and forth with Blink Customer Service. I was told that I was on an "extended trial" previously. This is a lie! There was not a subscription service when I purchased my first two, nor was there an "extended trial" while I had then. Subscription plans didn't start until May 2020. Incredibly infuriating.

Biggest piece of junk I've ever tried to work with. The batteries were almost shot when I put them in the camera and the solar power unit. The camera is so sensitive that anything less than a car won't be picked up. Now that I've had to replace the batteries after just a few months, I can't get either the camera or the sync module to relink after trying for 5 days. I'm an electronic and computer engineer. If I can't work this out, how do non-engineers ever use this piece of junk. I've tried to reach tech support but I have better luck talking with someone at the IRS.

slow, laggy and unresponsive. would not connect to blink modem. quality was very poor. areas with light where too bright. areas with no light where pitch black!

spend a little extra and buy RING. The camera mounting mechanism is atrocious. you have to take the camera off the mount to change the batteries (about once a month) and good luck getting it back on. nearly impossible. and the software is TERRIBLE. Took at least 30 seconds to get a live feed and then another 30-60 seconds to terminate that session. and if that session is still linked then you can't do anything else. RING is so far superior I can't put it into words. Camera build quality, rechargeable batteries, and the App (oh wow the app) is incredible.

These are highly overated junk. All good reviews are bought reviews. This camera system is junk and extremely easy for criminals to steal. The outside mounting bracket makes it so people just walk up, pop it off and your out how much it costs you. The cameras do not provide the quality they claim and the Echo Show 5 that came with it absolutely will not connect to the blink camera system. If you want quality, your going to have to pay for it and it definitely isn't in this range. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY on Blink/Alexa/Amazon crap, yeas Amazon owns all of it.

this thing is trash! after about only 8 months the camera battery needed to be changed. so i changed it with the right batteries. guess what, cameras decided to not get any connection! i cant even go live! the only one that worked was the one that still had battery life in it! customer services claims its my wifi connectivity, but guess what, had one lay next to my router, still couldnt get it connected to wifi! DO NOT BUY this TRASH! customer service sucks too. its only one person and they dont even know what they are talking about!

The sync module would stay connected to wifi for 5-10 seconds, then go offline...then back online...then offline...never ending cycle. That makes it impossible to connect any cameras, but then again, you could never actually use a system that doesn't stay connected. Tried resetting it several times. No change. I could look at the sync module and see that it was online...green light on, but the app says it's offline....then get the exact opposite. Gave up & will be returning the whole mess.

too slow to make a good security system. loss of features if you dont pay amazon for subscription

Cameras stopped working after couple months. Need a subscription for them to even save videos and show up on your phone. NO CONSTANT LIVE FEED. The customer service is just terrible like they do not care what is wrong or just do not want to help you. Do not recommend. Go get the nightowl cameras; way worth it for your money and time.

Cameras are delayed. System is busy and can only record 1 camera at a time. Not a very good option for security.

Dont waste your time. Cheap system and you get what you pay for. When you take the camera down to replace the battery it WILL NOT GO BACK ON THE MOUNT. Cheap corner cutting and terrible design. Actaully had it running most of the year but finally had it tonight. Felt great to toss ot in the trash. Also with heavy usage the Li batteries last about 6-8 weeks.

This product is unreliable and not user friendly at all. I had to buy a sync module so it would work, I'm paying the subscription plan and paying for high speed internet, and it constantly disconnects. I have to do all this complicated trouble shooting and become an IT expert. Should have went with Ring.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Blink charges MONTLHY FEES!!! Bought several set of Blink camera sets. After buying these BLINK started to charge MONTHLY FEES. Not what I signed up for when purchasing!!! WOULD NOT BUY SUBSCRITION PLAN CAMERAS!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

one camera will not detect, needed instructions are not included

Ive had these for months and they worked great for about 2 months. Then they just begin to have nothing but connection issues. Youll have more trouble accessing the camera about 85% of the time. Too bad i cant get back all the money ive spent on these cameras.

When they're working they're fine but they keep losing signal with the module every hour I keep having to reset the module. I've done all the troubleshooting steps nothing seems to help. It's very frustrating when you leave your house go to check your cameras and the module has lost signal.

Tried to purchase this item from Best Buy and their people where total rude and just ignored me. Final got ones attention; Asked about the usb drive and its capacity and the guy just pointed over towards the PC’s and said the usb memory sticks where over there.

I purchased the item and it wouldn’t connect to our wifi at all. So, I returned it and got an email 1/11/22 that they received my return and I have yet to get my money back.
