The Blink Outdoor 4 is a wire-free camera that communicates with the Sync Module over a wireless connection, and a strong, stable Wi-Fi network is essential for reliable performance. There are several troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the connection issue. First, make sure the Sync Module is placed in a central location within your home, ideally near your Wi-Fi router, as the Sync Module needs a strong connection to your router before it can reliably communicate with the camera. The camera should be placed within approximately 100 feet of the Sync Module, though walls, floors, and other obstacles can reduce that effective range. If the camera is mounted far from the Sync Module or separated by thick walls, try repositioning the Sync Module closer to where the camera is installed, rather than moving the camera closer to the Sync Module.

Additionally, check your Wi-Fi network to ensure it is operating on a 2.4 GHz band, as Blink devices connect exclusively to 2.4 GHz networks and will not connect to 5 GHz bands. A minimum upload speed of at least 2 Mbps is recommended for each camera to function properly. If multiple devices in your home are competing for bandwidth, this can impact the camera's ability to maintain a stable connection. Try temporarily disconnecting other devices from your network to see if the connection improves. Restarting your router and the Sync Module by unplugging them for about 30 seconds and then plugging them back in can also help clear any temporary connectivity issues. If the Sync Module's LED light is not showing a solid blue and green light, this indicates it is not properly connected to your network and may need to be re-added through the Blink app.
