Our old Samsung cameras were no longer supported so we were forced to go with these. We picked them because we already had purchased a Blink indoor camera which we hadn't activated yet. The activation of all of these cameras was difficult and not intuitive. When we got them all on our home network, some of the cameras frequently lost signal. One had to be moved due to a garage motion alarm interfering with it. The other one, though close to a WiFi hub, kept losing signal. The indoor module was only feet from a wifi hub. So after moving the camera several times we finally got it to work. The sensitivity is difficult to adjust; having to balance sensitivity with battery life. When armed we constantly got warnings about draining the batteries quickly so we turned off arming. But that doesn't alert us to intruders so what good is it. Our old Samsung wireless outdoor camera was wired to the control module so we left it armed all of the time since it was powered. Frankly I miss our old cameras.

We upgraded to 4 hoping the increasing long term problems with 3 were corrected. The upgraded mount of the 4 is easier to connect and the cameras have a clearer and larger field of view than 3. The night video does seem more clear than 3. There does seem to be less false alarms than 3 when/IF the cameras are operating properly. WHEN the cameras are operating properly, they seem to have an increased sensitivity, although there seems to be no happy and consistent sensitivity setting to capture movement accurately; there seems to be a large deadzone in settings where the camera is either hyperactive or asleep. If you are accustomed to the 3 settings you'll likely have to have a lower the motion sensitivity and take what you get. The Beta "Person" feature is nice but it is not consistent and seemed to reduce the overall accuracy and completely ignore the movement of real people; when this feature is turned off, many times the camera continues to indicate a person even though it is only a dog, but many times completely missing a video capture of the actual person. The 4 cameras have what seems to be greater openings in the cabinet at different locations than the 3 version and this may prove even more problematic over time for the 4 since long term openings in 3 permitted water and insects into the camera. More than half of the 4 cameras are flashing at night for no apparent reason and consuming the battery life as early as eleven days, this flashing is seen from the nearby wired system or captured from nearby wireless units. The photo capture feature is off and most times there is no video to accompany the flashing. The flashing seems to occur later in the evening cycle towards dawn and does not appear to be dusk to dawn. The learning curve of the 4 seems to be more difficult than 3 as we enjoyed battery life from 1 year to more than two years with the previous 3rd generation camera. We would be furious if we paid full retail for 4 but thought we got a deal as the cameras were on sale, but we're hemeraging funds and operating costs due to the price of the batteries. We won't wait for the optional extended warranty to kick in as they are being returned within the grace period as more cameras are dying due to consumed batteries. If you decide to purchase the 4 make SURE you purchase the extended warranty.

We have several Blink cameras and highly recommend easy set up.

I like these cameras they work really good and operate off of double aa batteries. I can just change them when needed. Other cameras I had the batteries are shot after 2 years and cost almost as much to replace as buying a new system.

Has improved our security inside our home and outside. They are small and compact, easy to hide out of plain sight. Would definitely recommend to others.
