Had these since Nov.2023. Constantly disconnects feom network. When I try to reconnect, I get error messages saying my WiFi password is wrong. I even copied my password directly from my WiFi app. I strongly reccomend other systems to ensure proper security. Blink is no good.

I was all hyped about getting these cameras but once I got them, nothing was different from my $25 dollar camera that I didn’t have to have a subscription to. Overrated in my opinion.

Work great! Battery life is short. Batteries are expensive.

This thing works flawlessly in the daylight, and at night time. Love the person detection on it. No issues at all.

Great picture during the day but not the greatest picture when its cold and raining at night. Picture looks like its foggy at night but its a clear night

I got these on black Friday sale and I will be returning them shortly. The notification will pop up but will only record a clip of literally a second "Don't Blink" you'll miss it. I had a person on my porch and I went to check the video and it didn't really record anything at all. I thought it might be in the settings or I needed to reboot it. Their customer service is almost non existent as well.

I love blink. Lately Ive been watching the deer through mine.

I would not count on these for security one bit! I have had people and animals walk thru my yard and it may record 10 percent of the time. If it wasnt too late i would return them! So im just out the money. I have the outside and inside ones and they are crap. I even have them set on high sensitivity and still doesnt catch movement. So very disappointed. The live works great. But i need to know what is going on when i am not home.

Having many connectivity problems with the live view, the router being 5 feet away together with the sync module, I never had problems with blink outdoor 3 gen

My 3 cameras are constantly going offline and need to be reset or have the batteries replaced. After 3 weeks one will go offline and the others will soon follow. This is not from them constantly going off, they are set on the lowest sensitivity. I live 300 miles away from this location and bought these for piece of mind to check on my property. It’s very frustrating, I am not happy and wish I had chosen another brand.

This add-on Outdoor 4 camera was very easy to set up and use, especially if you are already in the Blink ecosystem. The compact size makes it discreet outside, and the battery life has been solid so far, which is great for a wireless camera you do not want to constantly charge. The 1080p resolution and image quality are not on the same level as a dedicated wired CCTV system, but they are good enough to clearly see what is going on, and the infrared night vision has been very helpful for recognizing people and activity after dark. The app can be a bit finicky at times, and you do need a Sync Module for recording plus a subscription if you want faster access to cloud clips, but once everything is set up the live view and alerts come through quickly. Overall, this has been a reassuring addition for basic outdoor surveillance, and as part of the broader Blink ecosystem, it feels like a must‑have add‑on rather than a standalone CCTV replacement

No one told me I needed to buy module when I bought this camera. Now they tell me I'm out side my return window even though I have a beat buy member ship. I would give negative stars if possible

The Blink Outdoor 4 is a 4th generation battery-powered smart security camera that leverages the lifespan of Lithium AA batteries, camera technology and Wi-Fi with an app and cloud-based server infrastructure to provide an ingeniously simple Security system that extended to many devices beyond this one simple outdoor wireless system. The system comes with the Outdoor 4 camera, 2 AA sized lithium batteries, a sync module, a power block and cable for the sync module, a mount and right-angle adapter that also doubles as a screwdriver (to loosens the screw for the Battery compartment) a set of mounting screws and a quick start guide. The key features of this 4th generation camera are: - Two-Year battery life - Runs for up to two years on two included AA lithium batteries. - Day + Night HD View – See more of what’s happening with a wider field of view (143 degrees), low-light image sensor, and infrared night vision. - Two-way Audio – Hear and speak to people and pets with crisp audio. - Enhanced Motion Detection - Catch events quickly with dual-zone motion detection alerts. - Person Detection – Know when a person is detected with embedded computer vision (CV) as part of an optional Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately – but this kit has a 30-day free trial with no credit card needed included. - The device works with Amazon Alexa (Blink was acquired by Amazon in 2017). - The sync module contains a USB-A type port that can be used with a flash drive (up to 256 GB - not included) to store data locally and you can avoid the monthly subscription for cloud storage – but you also lose some benefits – such as real time viewing of the cameras. I am impressed with the Blink Outdoor 4 system. Set up is quick and easy and can be done very quickly via the use of QR codes. This follows a typical process of downloading the associated app from your app store, creating an account, and then adding your sync module followed up by the camera to the system. Each sync module can have up to 10 devices attached though it. The system having a sync module does a few things – it “camera battery life, saves clips without a subscription, improves convenience for scheduling, and arms a group of devices at once.” The downside is the need to have an always-on Wi-Fi connection (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi internet connection with at least 2 MB per second of upload speed (from your network to the internet) for the system to be used. This is good in a home use situation but is less advantageous when using the system with an RV or camping trailer setup where one may not have access to such capabilities. I am glad to see that this system can run in a subscription free mode, however you do lose a lot of capability doing so – such as real-time viewing and the two-way audio capability. Overall, this is a great design for security cameras and there are plenty of YouTube videos I have seen that can help you get the most out of your system. Pros: Functionality, local storage option Cons: Always on Wi-Fi connection needed

How am I being protected, when when I’m gone, my camera is offline? Terrible product. I’ve had nothing but problems since I got it and strongly wouldn’t recommend this. Don’t waste your money.
