Disappointed in these cameras

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our old Samsung cameras were no longer supported so we were forced to go with these. We picked them because we already had purchased a Blink indoor camera which we hadn't activated yet. The activation of all of these cameras was difficult and not intuitive. When we got them all on our home network, some of the cameras frequently lost signal. One had to be moved due to a garage motion alarm interfering with it. The other one, though close to a WiFi hub, kept losing signal. The indoor module was only feet from a wifi hub. So after moving the camera several times we finally got it to work. The sensitivity is difficult to adjust; having to balance sensitivity with battery life. When armed we constantly got warnings about draining the batteries quickly so we turned off arming. But that doesn't alert us to intruders so what good is it. Our old Samsung wireless outdoor camera was wired to the control module so we left it armed all of the time since it was powered. Frankly I miss our old cameras.

We are constantly working to provide customers with the best experience possible with our products and services and do so from valued feedback just like yours. Switching to a fully wireless system when previously using a fully wired system can sometimes have different challenges such as distance from the Wi-Fi and/or distance from the Sync Module needed to connect them. One tip you can try is to make sure that your Sync Module is not too far from your cameras or router as it creates the wireless connection. This means that even if a camera is right next to your router, if the Sync Module is too far, then it could still have connectivity issues. I would recommend reaching out to Blink Customer Support via the Blink smartphone app or by calling 781.332.5465 to troubleshoot further and for assistance in taking care of any other challenges that you are seeing with these cameras. Not used these long enough yet to comment on battery life. A subscription is needed for some features to work. The Blink website explains storage options and subscription costs, so that is helpful information to read prior to purchase.

All three works fine. The blink sync module which connects all three together and is accessible in phone is seamlessly comfortable. Least to mention about the battery life which is yet to be observed.

Great video quality and a very easy to use app with easy to understand motion settings. The only complaint is the range of the wifi hub. We needed to move our cameras a little closer to the hub or else they would disconnect occasionally

Even though we haven't gotten around to mounting them outside, we have strategically placed these cameras around our house (garage, back porch, & front door), and they still do what we hoped they would. I thought these cameras were reasonably priced and very good qualtiy.

The reason for the 4 out of 5 is that there is a glitchy delay to them and often times we can’t get a smooth recording. Priced well, app is good, just wish it were a little cleaner while watching the live feed. Still recommend though!
