Posted .Hello, KarlS. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Blink Outdoor 4-camera system. I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with the device. Your Blink camera captures motion based on either passive infrared (PIR) or pixel difference analysis (PDA). Your camera's motion sensitivity setting adjusts how much input it takes to send you a notification. Low sensitivity is less responsive, so a larger amount of heat or motion is needed to cause a notification. The highest setting may cause alerts from blowing leaves or even shadows.
High sensitivity (values of 6–9) means less motion over a shorter period of time will create a notification.
Low sensitivity (values of 1–4) means more movement over a longer period of time will create a notification. I recommend testing the sensitivity for each camera. Tap "More (...)" on your camera's thumbnail and select "Device Settings." Select "Motion Settings." On "Motion Sensitivity," move the slider two or three increments to the right for a higher setting. Tap "Save" to save this setting and walk out of the frame of view of this camera. From the main screen of the Blink app, set your system to "Armed" to enable motion detection. Test the camera's sensitivity by introducing movement. If the sensitivity is unsuccessful, adjust the slider further, save, and try again. If you have adjusted the sensitivity to your liking, proceed to test with a larger moving object. Walk in front of the camera and check if the setting provides the desired motion alert. Too short of recording time

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.never again, these cameras are glitchy, sometimes they work and sometimes they dont, at this moment my cameras are advising me someone is in my back yard and at the front of my house, but will not login, i also have them backed up on a USB, which works sometimes, i keep having to reformat the USB to see the clips. I did the free trial on accident or some how it was activated, maybe by my wife on accident and that messed the whole system up, now the usb will not show clips on the local setting!!!!!!. anyways find another camera, dont go cheap and when i bought these cameras they offered a small extra camera that was included, i had to return the whole system and repurchase it in order to get it, as the best buy employee did not include it on my original purchase. i have also noticed that they do not work well in the cold......when it is around 30 to 45 degrees they are really glitchy and do not record movement, i have been using ring and FEIT cameras without a problem for four years in various areas these blink are very problematic.
