They worked great for about two weeks. Then the cameras slowly went offline and quality for a few is very blurry and poor.

Hello, RokuWestinghouseTV! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the Blink Outdoor 4 Cameras. I have some recommendations to try and help fix your battery issue. I recommend going into the settings in the Blink app and seeing if you have a "high usage" alert. High usage means that the amount of motion clips recorded and Live View used is causing the batteries to deplete quicker than expected. I recommend ensuring that your camera has at least three bars of signal strength for camera-to-Wi-Fi and also setting up Activity Zones to prevent excessive motion clips or false alerts. If the above basic troubleshooting steps don't prove helpful, please contact Blink Customer Support at 1-833-392-5465. Thank you again, have a great day! AmazonDevices

Don't bother! What they don't tell you is that you need a separate module to connect to the internet. Stupidest thing ever. Ring cameras have all in one camera and module for connecting to the internet (and a cheaper subscription).

Unusable because Outdoor 4 with Sync Remote XR emit a clicking sound that can be heard in TV headphones and AM/FM radios. Most annoying.

Hi disappointed, thank you for taking time to provide feedback on Blink Outdoor 4. I am sorry to hear you have had a negative experience thus far. Blink cameras convert audio into a digital stream so it can be heard for Live Views and recorded clips. During this conversion, extra sounds can sometimes be heard. These sounds may sound like a cluster of noises, scrambled distortion, chirps, or clicks when accessing a Live View or playing back a recorded clip.

The upload speed of your network plays an important part of your digital stream. When network speeds change quickly, your audio may be distorted. Blink devices require at least 2 Mb per second of available upload speed for each Blink device, even when multiple users are online. Thank you again, have a great day! AmazonDevices

Hi there, JasonGThank you for taking the time to review the Blink Outdoor 4 camera. I’m really sorry to hear that you've had problems with the connection. This type of issue likely stems from a weak Wi-Fi signal. To help improve the connection, please try rebooting your Wi-Fi router, make sure your doorbell is close to the router, and check the Wi-Fi signal strength. Also, ensure that the doorbell is using a 2.4 GHz network for better performance. If this does not help resolve the connection please feel free to contact Blink Customer Support directly at 1-833-392-5465. Thank you again for your valuable feedback! AmazonDevices

These didnt work well for the space that we intended to use them for. The camera's do not have light so if the space is not well lit, as in our situation these won't work well. We returned this item

The new Blink 4 outdoor security camera is a good option for more budget minded shoppers. The Blink system has a lot of options for this price point. The camera arrived well packaged with the camera, Sync Module, batteries, USB cable, mounting kit and power adapter. Setup was fairly straight forward, although I found the directions severely lacking. As with most things these days, you need to first install the Blink app and create an account. The Sync Module is the "hub" for the blink system. After installing the app and creating an account, plug in the Sync Module and connect the system to your wifi network. Install the batteries in the camera, add the camera in the app and "follow the directions." That sounds simple enough but I had trouble getting everything to connect properly at first, and there are no other written directions if you run into a problem using the app for setup. It took several tries before the camera would show up in the app and there was no way to troubleshoot anything until the camera was recognized. My advice: after connecting the sync module to your wifi network and installing the batteries in the camera, wait 5min before trying to install the camera in the app. I think it just takes a while for everything to communicate together. During daytime the camera has a nice, crisp picture. I find the low light capabilities to be sub par, but the night time/infrared works very well. I like the fact that notifications can be configured so that I don't overwhelmed with alerts, and there is also a motion detection sensitivity slider so you can adjust how quickly the camera fires a notification. The included mounting hardware is easy to install.

      Hello KevinL,
I am sorry to hear you are having battery issues with your Blink Outdoor camera. There are a few things to try to keep the battery to last longer. If your Blink camera batteries are dying quickly, it could be due to factors like high usage, weak Wi-Fi signal, or even using the wrong type of batteries. Blink cameras are designed to use AA lithium metal batteries, not alkaline batteries. Reduce Live View: Prolonged use of Live View drains battery faster. Lower Sensitivity: Reduce the camera's sensitivity to motion to minimize false alerts and battery drain. Set up Activity Zones: Focus motion detection on specific areas to reduce unnecessary recordings. Monitor Battery Level: Check the battery level in the Blink app. Optimize Settings: Adjust settings to optimize battery performance. Arm camera when needed: If possible, only arm your camera when no one is home. Hope this helps, have a nice day. AmazonDevices

Doesn’t work without Sync module, 60 second video bites unless you upgrade battery pack and not enough control of said video. Batteries don’t last.

I have several Blink camera’s inside our home mainly to let us know when we are away how our two dogs are doing, but I had never purchased an outdoor camera. I was pleasantly surprised that it also included the Sync Module as well. I mounted this at the entrance to my woodworking shop simply because it would be easily accessible for me to reach once I need to charge the battery. And w/ out the included sync module I don’t think the Wi-fi would have picked up to our house. Already having the a Blink camera the setup was simple and smooth. And w/ in minutes I had the camera installed w/ the provided mount (no screws supplied) and it took no time to adjust the angle of the camera. It is very lightweight and the mount is designed that when I need to recharge the camera that its simple to remove. This 4th generation is a little more advanced than the Blink that I have inside our home, I have generation 2 I think and the video/picture quality w/ this Blink Outdoor 4 is very, very clear. I have purchased the plan that I pay for each month and I can store videos through the cloud or on the card that I purchased that inserts into the camera. I also love the fact that it works w/ our Alexa home system and to view the camera’s once we get an alert is available by phone or on our Echo. I like the fact that it lets you know the distinction between movement and a person. Very good quality camera and system. I will be purchasing several more outside camera’s to pair w/ this one.
