The cameras are OK but if you don't want to spend so much money on batteries, don't do it. I have been through so many batteries and they made out to make me think the batteries last two years now they don't they're liars.

They work perfectly in the day and even in the night!

The advertised battery life is suspect. After only 2 weeks have already replaced batteries in one camera and now a second one is showing signs of battery failure. Just be prepared to replace the batteries that come with camera WAYYYY sooner than the advertised 2 year battery life

Factors like how often the motion detection kicks in, the video quality settings, and even the weather can have an adverse effect on battery life. If you notice your batteries are draining faster than you'd like, there are some handy tips to help stretch its life and troubleshoot any issues you might face: Try reducing the motion detection sensitivity to avoid those annoying false alarms. Setting up activity zones can help focus on key areas, steering clear of high-traffic spots. Shortening motion clips saves space, while lowering video quality can help save battery life if you don’t need crystal-clear footage. Also, cut down on Live View usage, especially in high resolutions, and make sure your camera and hub are in places with a strong WiFi signal for the best performance. Good Camera, Terrible Battery Life

The AA batteries drain much faster than advertised, meaning you end up constantly replacing them. It feels like you’re just throwing money away on batteries instead of enjoying a reliable security camera. If you’re looking for something low-maintenance, this is not it.

It’s not that bad. The only complaint that I have is the lifespan of the batteries they say two years all I can say is not you’re looking at maybe between six months to one year And I can tell you them lithium batteries are very expensive

Posted .Hello CelineP. I am so sorry to hear that your Wi-Fi was not able to reach the cameras where you needed them. We do offer a new device sold separately called a Sync Module XR that gives extended range (up to 400 additional feet) to up to 2 cameras which could potentially resolve your issue. This also has a microSD slot available on the Sync Module XR that can be used to store videos locally on your own microSD cards.
