I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing and have some recommendations to try and help. First, I recommend lowering the cameras' sensitivity setting; this can increase battery life. Low sensitivity (values of 1–4) means more movement over a longer period of time will create a notification. The motion can be a big or small object, or many small objects. I also recommend ensuring the system has a good connection to your home's Wi-Fi. Weak signal strength between Blink devices and the Wi-Fi network can increase battery consumption, as can slow internet connection speeds. I recommend checking the signal strength from the Outdoor 4 camera to the sync module and positioning the sync module inside your home in a central location where all cameras will have a good connection. Ensure that your camera has at least three bars of signal strength for camera-to-Wi-Fi connectivity. You can monitor the battery level in the Blink app by tapping Device Settings, then General Settings. Battery strength indication is either "OK" or "Needs Replacement." The Blink app will display a "High Usage" alert message when your camera settings are likely to cause higher-than-normal battery consumption. I hope this information is helpful. Have Vivint and cameras were outrageous so decided on this. Wireless works great and bought the local usb storage so I don’t have to buy the subscription. Definitely recommend.

We upgraded to the newer version Outdoor 4 and still had connectivity issues. After adding a wifi booster in our house fixed the issue. We really liked the upgrades including increased clarity of the videos and the increased sensitivity so we purchased this one for our son. The main reason for using the Blink Security System for all of us is that you don't need to sign up for a cloud plan for video storage. It's available but not required. A thumb drive attached to the Sync module will store your data.
