Installed cameras 1/2/24. Today is 1/20/24 and I will be replacing batteries in 3 cameras for the second time. This will be the 3rd time replacing them since 1/2/24 for the doorbell. Save your money and move on.

I purchased this and doorbell from Best Buy about 20 days ago. There return policy was for 15 days. The products were defective from beginning. Blink will not honor the 1 year warranty and Best Buy eont return my money. STAY AWAY from BLINK products and DO NOT purchase from BEST BUY!

Very disappointed in these cameras. Gave to my parents for a gift, to go along with their Blink doorbell. The camera stays offline more than online. Feel like my gift was worthless because it does not function like we hoped. We've tried resetting, taking batteries out and putting back in, using a different set of batteries and moving the sync closer - nothing works. Doorbell works just fine however

Did not like the Blink wireless cameras. It was to be used in an apartment. However when someone kept trying to say hello and it also picked up other's conversations I returned it. It might work in a home but for an apartment with shared walls I would not recommend.

Worked for a couple of weeks and then stopped working at our vacation home so now we will have to wait until we go back to try to get it to work again by taking out the batteries?

Works okay. Notifications more often than not do not come through on IOS. Biggest issue though is night vision. It is truly awful and cannot get a clear image despite what settings I adjust.

I have not been able use my cameras for some time. Went back to Best Buy twice to get assistance. I have to pay 129.00 for some one to come out and see if the problem can be resolved. So i decided to buy another one just to get some one to come out. Best Buy stated the will not look at the 4 Blink carmers while installing the new one i have to pay 129.00 for service off my Blink carmers. Waste off money period .

I have used many different outdoor cameras and there are a few things I look for/want in an outdoor camera. I think the Blink outdoor cam 4 does most of those things. First is to run off battery power. I prefer this because I do not want to have to run wires through my house just to have power. The only downside to batteries is that you must replace/recharge them. This camera is rated for 2 year battery life off of two AA batteries. Although my cameras get heavy use in the front of my house only time will tell how long the batteries will last. Even if I can get 6 months to a year out of them, I will be happy. The plus side to this camera is that you can change the batteries and be right back to recording. I prefer this over having to bring the camera down to charge and put it back up later. The build quality of the camera looks and feels great. I do not feel it will have any trouble holding up to the elements where I live in the pacific northwest. The form factor is also great because it is so small it is easy to hide and be inconspicuous. The camera quality and audio quality are decent both in the best lighting and in the dark. I believe one advantage of the Blink cameras is the AI technology that is built in. There are so many features and settings that can help tailor your notifications. Such as the ability to alert you when it detects a person. The integration with Alexa is convenient especially if you have other non-blink cameras that also work with Alexa. The only downside in my opinion is that you should pay for the subscription to really make these cameras worth it. Blink does offer some local storage options, but it requires you to buy a separate sync module. The subscription is not very much money and adds a lot of features including 60 days’ worth of saved footage. Overall, this camera is easy to install and easy to use. If you want the convenience of not having wires or network storage the blink outdoor 4 is probably the best option. The size allows you to use this camera just about anywhere including indoor or in a garage as well as outdoor as the name implies.

The batteries don't last that long if you check your camera. If you put everything on low sitting and don't check anything they might last.

Installed both cameras, downloaded app for iphone, received notification that motion detector tripped and the app indicated photos were ready to view, but kept spooling, and after several minuets, photos did not generate. Only live feed view that comes with the free 1 month subscription was viewable from the app. Not the application that we were expecting.

I have been using a Blink surveillance system for my house for years now. I started with the first iteration of the Blink system and have been able to add cameras as necessary to ensure full coverage around the house. When provided with the opportunity to try the 4th generation camera, I figured I would give it a shot. For most of my needs, there really is not much difference from my perspective from the first cameras I had for the Blink system and the newest 4th generation camera. The quality on all of the cameras is pretty good and the night vision option works well. The new 4th generation includes a 30-day trial for a service that can automatically determine whether motion is because of people or something else. Personally, I never found the system too intrusive. Additionally, I started using Blink prior to the 2020 cut-off date, so I do not pay a subscription fee. I am not sure this feature would add any tremendous value to necessitate transitioning from a free service to a paid subscription. Being in a colder climate, I have found that the batteries in the previous cameras typically do not last a full two years, but it is pretty close. One complaint I had about the older cameras is that they will occasionally need to be reset, which means removing them from their mount, opening them up, taking the batteries out, putting the batteries back in, closing the case, and then re-mounting the unit. As I have only had this 4th generation camera for a short period of time, I do not know if it will suffer from the same issues. I did see a reset button inside the unit, however. Oh, there is also a screw mechanism that secures the back cover to the camera now (as opposed to the spring-loaded clips that were in the earlier iterations that I have). It is not as convenient given that I need a screwdriver to open the back cover now, but it is something that only needs to be done when the batteries fail, so it is not that big of a deal. Probably the largest complaint I have with the cameras is the mounting hardware that comes with them. While the 4th generation camera seems to be a little better in this regard compared to the cameras I already have, I am still not a big fan. The main mounting hardware is static and allows the camera to point one direction (perpendicular to the wall on which it is mounted). If you want to attach the camera to a ceiling or overhang, there is a mounting arm (? not sure what to call it) that goes between the camera and the mount at a 90° angle. Using this arm then allows for 360° of motion along a single axis (horizontal, if the mount is attached to a ceiling or overhang). Unfortunately, this does not allow a full range of motion to fine tweak the aim of the camera. The system also uses a plastic clips to hold everything in place and I am not 100% confident that the camera will not eventually disconnect from its mount. As with my previous camera, I went online to buy a more substantial mount in which to place the camera. While these mounts are not horribly expensive, it would be nice for Amazon to include something a little better than what they currently offer to facilitate more flexibility in mounting the cameras. (This is a minor issue that would have impacted my review score if 1/2 stars were allowed. As it is, though, the camera and the Blink system works just fine and I am happy with it.)
