      Hello, JoelJ. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Blink Outdoor 4 Camera system. I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the device and have some recommendations to try and help. For better motion detection, try these steps to adjust sensitivity:
      1. Tap More (...) on your camera's thumbnail and select Device Settings.
      2. Select Motion Settings.
      3. On Motion Sensitivity, move the slider two or three increments to the right for a higher numeric setting. Tap Save to save this setting and walk out of the frame of view of this camera.
      4. From the main screen of the Blink app, set your system to Armed to enable Motion Detection.
      5. Test the camera sensitivity by introducing movement.
      6. If the sensitivity is not successful, increase the slider more, save, and try again.

    Live feed view broken after app update.

    It was good in the beginning but a December 2024 update of the app had made viewing live feed next to impossible. 99 times out of 100 atleast one if not all my cameras wont load live feed. Recording and notification still works but live feed that you would count on to see what's going on RIGHT NOW forget it. I've been in contact with blink but the morons keep asking me to allow them access to my system etc. I reply its the app fix it but they just don't get it. This has gone on for a month and they still dont get it. FIX THE APP I YELL. Can uou send us a night Recording. Ugh I said the live feed is broken due to app update. Sending a Recording or allowing access will not fix the problem. Still they dont get it. That's why I give it 1 star until they cone to their senses and fix the app. As far as the stars below is rated on how it worked before they broke the app.

    problems with account setup and support staff

    After nearly 2 weeks of emailing and now 18 minutes on the phone, I still don't have a functional account. The problem's origin is that their account set up requires a code sent to my phone, but I don't receive the code. The problem is compounded by their support staff who are working on a 1st grade level of questions & answers. If I don't give them exactly what they want in exactly the format they want then they can't help me and there's no way for me to know what those exact formats have to be.

    Dropped one off a 6ft ladder, hit concrete and bounced 5-6 times. Still worked. Very impressive.

    Good camera but with an overwhelming flaw

    This camera has good resolution and also good in the dark. The thing that is most ridiculous is that when viewing you have to press "continue " every few seconds to watch live. Imagine someone comes into frame and motion detection is on then immediately finds a hiding spot and you did not press "continue" fast enough what then? It defeats the purpose of having a camera to monitir your premises. Someone did not think this through when making it. Thats why it only has 2 stars.

    For the price it is good, but they don't have some features that I would have liked. The Lithium batteries died within 2 weeks. You can block out areas to not detect motion, but you cannot zoom in and save it as a setting.

    Replaced the blink tilt that i thought was defective with this same issue wouldnt stay connected.bought the ring so much better

Persistent connectivity problems across multiple devices often point to environmental or network-related factors rather than the cameras themselves. A few common causes include:

      Wi-Fi signal strength outdoors — Outdoor cameras rely heavily on a strong, stable Wi-Fi signal. Walls, distance from the router, and interference from other devices can weaken the connection significantly.
      Router bandwidth — If multiple devices are competing for bandwidth on the same network, cameras can lose their connection intermittently.
      Sync Module placement — Positioning the Sync Module closer to the outdoor cameras or in a central location can improve reliability.
      2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz — Blink cameras operate on the 2.4 GHz band, so ensuring your router's 2.4 GHz network is enabled and not congested can make a big difference.

    I purchased the blink 5 pack 4 Generation cameras for outdoors, less than a month ago and three of the cameras went offline already, I cannot climb in a ladder I'm physically disable. I bougth this cameras thinking everything would be easy for been wifi cameras, I'm very disapointed about this, when I call blink customer service they said I have to climb in a ladder to remove the batteries then install the batteries again! I bougth this cameras because of the two year battery life, now in less than a month I'm having problems with the cameras batteries. I hired Geek Squad to install them they did a great Job. I do not know what to do I cannot climb in the ladder to be fixing this cameras and not blink or best buy care about my physical disability. The cameras supuouse to work well is too soon for them to have the battery broken.
