I have cheap ones from roku in my apt record outside my front window inside and records all the time good .

Even with strong Wi-Fi, reliability issues can sometimes be improved by checking a few quick things: make sure the camera has the latest firmware update in the Blink app, confirm that the Sync Module is placed as close as possible to the camera for a stronger signal, and try adjusting the motion detection sensitivity and activity zones. My eviz loaded more times than this thing ever has. It constantly freezes sometimes it wont even live play at all. Then when it live plays you only get 30 seconds of live view before you have to click continue. When its raining you might as well throw it in the trash because its not going to load and if it does its going to freeze every second because its trying to track raindrops. I would blame my interenet if everything in the house wasnt working as well but its only the camera that has problems and it doesnt even say connection issues! Spend your money elsewhere these things are overhyped as a Ring dup I'm just going to invest in a Ring next time or go back to Eviz.

A lot of these issues can be adjusted in the Settings of the device to increase or decrease sensitivity or to troubleshoot any possible issues with connection or devices themselves. Battery runs out in 1 week, lag in video, poor app. On top of if when you call customer care they blame it on internet provider with illogical answers. Pls donate money to needy if you have more but don't buy any Blink products. Pathetic product and service. Rating is poor it should be Very Very poor.

I bought three units and when the installers came, they said one of the units was defective and they couldn't install it. I had to drive 30 miles round-trip to return it to the store. I spoke with a manager and he said they would not be able to come out to fix it for a couple days. We were leaving that Sunday and won't be back for five months and they said they couldn't do it because no one was in the house which doesn't make any sense because those lights are not connected to anything in the house. They are just outside.. I called Blink and they said I should get up on a ladder and then they'll instruct me on how to fix it. Well I am physically unable to get up on a ladder for my garage roof so now I'm stuck and I'm gonna have to get somebody pay somebody to come and remove those things and return it to the store. I had to pay to have four units installed even though I only purchased three I was charged for four and one was defective so now I paid for four but only have two that partially work

The motion detection never worked. I’d pass in front of the floodlight and the lights would never trigger. Older model was better than this trash. Returned to store. Blink products are trash overall.

The usual battery life on the outdoor 4 blink cameras are up to two years depending on multiple factors. If the camera is taking little to no clips per day or a lot, temperatures in your respective localization and much more. In some location during heavy winter times they can last 3-6 months on average. Hope this clears up on battery life duration.
If you don't want to rely on battery life, there are some outdoor wired models you can look up. This would completely fix your issue.
If you want to keep the current model and it has any other issues that wasn't mentioned. You could always reach out to our customer service for warranty repairs on the unit or a replacement if the repair cannot be completed.

Horrible product

The flood lights have not worked for 8 of them. Blink sent me new floodlights and they don't work either. Blink does not have any resolution except that "they are working on it". They have terrible customer service, I would not recommend anyone buying their products. There are too many more reputable companies.
