THE BREAKDOWN: This Blink Outdoor 4 Battery-Powered 1080p security camera with floodlight is a great high-quality system. The system is the floodlight, the camera and the sync module that connects your floodlight/camera combo to your Wi-Fi. If you already have a Blink system with the sync module this is a super easy installation. First thing you need to do is download the Blink Home Monitor App. The app will walk you through all the steps of adding and installing the floodlight/camera combo. Very easy and simple process. One this to note is that these are not rechargeable they are batteries that will need to be replaced! Another thing to note is that the sync module will need to be within 100ft of the floodlight/camera. Overall, this system is great. It has 1080p video quality and the floodlights are very bright! You can do a lot within the application to customize your setup. You can setup zones, recording time, activation notifications and sensitivity to name few. I found that the app was very intuitive and super easy to navigate and use. You get a free trial to the Blink Plus Plan that gives you access to Cloud storage and video history and more. The structure is $3 a month for one device or $10 for unlimited. You can also connect a USB storage drive to save videos locally. PRO’s: - Easy setup - 2-year battery life - Great App - Two-way audio CON’s: - Monthly plan SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for an item like this.

The best wireless outdoor security I have tried to

Outdoor security systems are a bit of a touchy subject for me. I have purchased and installed three different systems before finally trying the Blink system. I think I may have finally found the one. While my previous security systems have had SO MANY hiccups and issues, I was hesitant to even try a different system. My good friends told me to try Blink. They have an entire Blink system installed at their vacation home and have raved about how dependable it has been. Fast forward to today, and I am happy to report that they were correct. No more waiting and waiting and waiting to get a signal feed through the app. No more having to constantly login into the app to even see the signal feed which is incredibly horrible for a security system. No more recharging the batteries in my cameras every few weeks, which is a massive hassle. So far, it seems as though Blink was able to remedy every gripe I have had with the other systems. The app loads quickly and the live feed is available at a fraction of the time of my previous systems. Huge bonus considering you really want fast access to what is happening outside. I have my Android phone notifications set to notify me of movement on both my phone and my watch, and it has worked quickly and flawlessly so far. This floodlight is installed just under the overhang pointing at my garage entry keypad. Browsing clips that are saved in your library is easy and quick as well. The whole app experience is very user friendly and finding what you need is a breeze. Which leads me to the Sync Module. My absolute favorite feature of the Blink system is the Sync Module (sold separately) which allows you to store your clips on a USB drive (sold separately) locally instead of paying a monthly cloud fee. AWESOME and thank you Blink! That said, if you don’t want to fuss with setting that up (which is easy) you can always use the cloud service to store and view your saved video clips. The video quality has been excellent so far, and I am able to clearly see what I need to see when reviewing saved clips. The custom "no zones" are also very useful, as they allow the user to select only certain parts of the scene that the camera sees and triggers to record saved clips. I have not had the system long enough to know if the batteries will last up to two years, but I do feel confident that they will last WAY longer than the system I am replacing. Another great thing about the Blink system is that it is relatively affordable and easy to upgrade if you want to add more cameras at any time. The floodlight seems bright enough for the immediate area, but not on par with a standard floodlight by any means. I am sure this is also to help with battery life. While the system is not perfect, it can be improved with a few minor changes. The camera mounts are my biggest complaint. They are flimsy and delicate. The cameras literally snap into a round, thin piece of plastic, which makes it seem like the cameras are not as secure as they could be. I would like to see the mounts updated with some type of weatherproof screw that can be tightened by hand, and for the plastic to be made thicker. This would make the mounts more secure and less likely to break. It would also make them more weatherproof, which would be important in areas with a lot of rain or snow. There is also nothing stopping anyone from easily taking a camera, so updating the mounts to be more secure and anti-theft is my #1 recommendation for the next version. I can highly recommend the Blink system for anyone needing an affordable home security solution.

This is my first Blink product I've had. This is a replacement for the same style floodlight but this has the additional security camera feature which was idea for me and the area I wanted to keep an eye on. Upon opening the box I noted that this was a wireless setup, so I figured maybe everything was solar powered but unfortunately the light and camera both are powered by batteries. D-cell for the floodlight and double A for the camera itself. I was kind of disappointed that in this day and age they didn't come with rechargeable lithium internal batteries. They say the provided batteries will last up to 2 years. I find this hard to believe but I guess we'll see how long regular batteries last. Setup was pretty simple, the lights are said to put out 700 lumens of light. It is 1080p not 4k but the images are clear and crisp day time or night with the infrared night vision, It also has two-way audio so you can speak to someone and hear what's going on outside or communicate with someone. It works with Alexa, but probably the only con is if you want certain features you have to pay for a subscription plan of course. I would recommend this to others Overall its a nice product

Heavy, and overall easy to set up

This is a (fairly) easy outdoor floodlight to set up, with some small quirks. You do need to have a sync module for this camera system to work, and this is really two parts in one. This is an outdoor blink camera, as well as the flood light (which is basically a fancy dock and mounting system). The instructions that come with aren't super clear, but once I found the video online, it became much easier. Setup is pretty simple. Pair the camera to your sync module, plug it into the base, and then snap it onto the base. The base itself has 4 large batteries behind an easy to remove panel. The whole assembly itself is fairly heavy because of all of the batteries, so make sure you mount it appropriately, otherwise it could fall. The base has 3 screws and the floodlight mount slides and clicks on. This does NOT mount where current outdoor floodlights are mounted. It won't mount onto an outdoor receptacle. This is made for somewhere you don't have power, but after you mount it, it looks like a fairly typical outdoor floodlight. Use: The app makes this camera easy to use, with quite a few adjustments and features. You can remotely turn on/off the lights, as well as view the camera. In order to save battery, this does NOT constantly record, only when it senses motion. It will then record a short clip of the motion (you can adjust the length....and the longer the shorter your battery will last). If you want cloud recording, you have to subscribe to a blink plan which starts at 3 dollars a month for one camera. If you don't subscribe, you can use a thumb drive plugged into the sync module. Overall, this system is fine. I'm not a fan of how heavy it is with the large batteries. time will tell with how long the batteries will last, but with D's I imagine its quite a while

This setup is a component system. Besides the floodlight and camera there's a Sync Module included that wirelessly connects the floodlight/camera to your Wi-Fi. The setup guide instructs to download the Blink Home Monitor app to setup the system, but I highly recommend going to Blink online first to read about how to setup and install components. That will give you a better understanding of the components' installation, operation, and how they work together. Once you have done that then download the app and let it guide you through adding the components to the app and final setup. Installation hardware comes with the floodlight component and the camera attaches to the floodlight. They are both battery powered (not rechargeable) and are easily removed from the installation base when battery replacement is needed. The sync module must be plugged into a household outlet within Wi-Fi range and within 100 feet of the floodlight/camera. This is a very nice system with 1080p video quality and bright LED floodlights. You can set up zones, sensitivity, recording times, motion activated notifications, video recording retention times, and more. A 28-day free trial period subscription to the Blink Plus Plan is included. It's their premium plan that gives you access to Cloud storage, 60-day unlimited video history, live view recording, photo capture, video sharing and more. However, you can save video locally to a USB storage drive (storage drive not included) plugged into the Sync Module without having to subscribe to a plan. The Blink Basic plan covers one device for $3 a month and the Plus plan is $10 a month to cover unlimited devices. If you're only using this single camera system, I think the $3 plan is worth it. The app used to control the system is very user friendly. It's easy to understand and navigate and makes it easy to customize your setup and navigate and review recorded videos. The video quality is outstanding both in daylight and at night. I've got several different security camera setups throughout my house, garage and yard and this one is by far the best in terms of flawless operation of the integrated system and app (no crashes, no video unavailable, no other glitches) and user interface. I highly recommend it.

This review is for the Blink – wireless Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera. Disclaimer I was already a Blink camera user. They are just very reasonably priced and have a decent image quality. And this new outdoor floodlight is no different. The set up and install I found very easy again I’m familiar with them. I installed mine on a brick house with 3 anchors and it felt very sturdy. After you set the dock the unit just slides and snaps in place. Blink is claiming up to two years of battery life and that’s from four D cell Duracell. Even if I only get one year, I would be happy. Only time will tell. The camera has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 which looks great on your phone. But when you zoom in it dose get a bit blurry. I wish you could pick from different lens options. The camera it self is powered by two AA energizer batteries. I do wish this was a rechargeable battery. The app is very user friendly. I do like that you can turn the floodlight on and off with the app as needed. This is some thing that I can’t do with my other smart floodlight from a competitor. It also has two way audio that works ok. Dose has a small delay when people are responding to you. Next I want an outdoor camera with PTZ

This is a very high quality security camera and floodlight system. If you have an existing Blink security system, you merely add this light and camera to that system via your Sync Module. If this is your initial Blink install, you would need to get a Blink Sync Module that supports this security camera/floodlight system and connects to your WiFi access point. The Sync module also allows you to add additional cameras and other devices into a connected system and provides local storage if you wish via a USB port. I was impressed that Blink has built the intelligence into their products so that installation is sort of magical. Once you have the Blink cell phone app installed, you will then setup your Sync Module, which is connected to an outlet for continuous power and then connects to your WiFi access point. I have had similar hub-like items and it is best to put it in a centralized location relative to your security lights and cameras. The app finds the module and walks you through the easy setup. This particular light and camera combination is totally battery powered. Batteries were included and the specifications indicate the batteries will last up to 2 years. I attached the camera to the system next and it was easy, just hit ‘add device’ in the app and it finds and installs the camera. You do need to attach the camera to the light physically and via a cable. The app provided details on how to connect the camera physically to the light and also attaching a short cable that integrates the light with the camera. Since they are battery powered you can install them any where you like without the need for External power or power cables. I found the operation of the camera and light to be very comprehensive. The app provided a better range of controls than my other similar systems. One feature I found important that my prior system didn’t have was the ability to reduce the intensity of the LED lights. Another feature for the camera was to adjust the IR intensity for night viewing; these are not variables you find in many other security systems. When you set the motion parameters for the lights, be aware that you need to set the system to enable for the motion to turn the lights on. I liked the ability to set the duration of the lights-on cycle; and also the people recognition ability of the camera. The images on the cell phone were crystal clear. Outdoor camera temperature range is -4° to 113°. Therefore, I would not suggest mounting the camera in direct sunlight. I did check that if power is disrupted to the Sync Module and then restored, the system will automatically reconnect to WiFi and all devices come back on line without intervention. There are some subscription plans available for online storage, however you can elect for local storage at no cost. You can also use this system with Alexa. I plan to add additional cameras to the system and another light in the back of the house. I am very pleased with the ease of install and the high quality. I do highly recommend this Blink Security system.

This is the 7th Blink product that I own and I have been very pleased w/ this line of products, I had a auto spotlight on our entrance to our home that did not have a camera, so I simply switched it out w/ this Blink 4 camera and mount. The mount was very simple to install and I the lights were a lot brighter than the other that I removed that had more LED lights. This is a very well made auto light that practically lights up our front yard w/ the way you can adjust the lights to suit your need. As far as the camera, I am pleased w/ the Blink system, it came w/ an additional base that you can pair to, but I simply used the one that I had my other cameras paired w/. I love having all my cameras on one App and Amazon does offer a monthly subscription to their cloud, but I like the fact you can purchase on Amazon a storage plug that goes w/ the system. The quality of the video/photos is clear and I w/ the lights that are installed it really is very clear at night. Used in conjunction w/ our Blink doorbell and two Blink cameras on each corner of our 78’ ranch style home our front yard is practically covered w/ video coverage. I know there are systems out there that have better video quality, and you can argue wired systems vs wireless systems, I am very pleased w/ our Blink system and this Blink - Outdoor 4 security camera. For the price and ease of mounting and pairing, and having all cameras on one App, you can’t go wrong w/ Blink, I highly recommend them.

I recently upgraded my home security setup with the Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera, and it's been a game-changer, especially given my frequent travels, leaving my wife at home alone. The sense of security this camera brings is invaluable. It also integrated flawlessly with my existing Blink system, which was a big plus. One of the standout features is the 700 lumens of motion-triggered LED lighting. It illuminates the area you point the LED’s to pretty nicely, enhancing both the visibility and adding to the deterrent factor. The HD live view and real-time alerts keep me informed and in control, no matter where I am. The two-way audio is crisp, allowing clear communication, which is particularly reassuring for my wife when I'm away. I was initially skeptical about the claimed two-year battery life, especially with such powerful features. However, even a year would be a win, considering the benefits. Time will tell. The wire-free installation was a breeze, and the no-drill option while available isn’t secure enough for my taste so I used screws to mount to the side of my house. The enhanced motion detection is responsive, sending alerts to my phone quickly. The person detection feature, part of an optional Blink Subscription Plan, adds an extra layer of specificity to the alerts, though it does come at an additional cost. The ability to save and share clips is convenient. The free 30-day trial of the Blink Subscription Plan is a good way to test the cloud storage option. However, having the Sync Module 2 included in the package allows for local storage with a USB drive (that you need to buy separately) which is a cost-effective alternative. Integration with Alexa enhances the user experience significantly. Being able to control the camera with voice commands is not just convenient but also feels quite futuristic. In the box, you get everything you need: the Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera, Sync Module 2, batteries, mounting kit, power adapter, and USB cable. The Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera is a robust, user-friendly addition to home security. It offers peace of mind with its advanced features and easy integration, making it a worthy investment for anyone looking to enhance their home security, especially for those who travel frequently.

Recently, I had the opportunity to enhance our home security and outdoor lighting with the Blink Outdoor Camera and Floodlight system. As a user already familiar with the Blink ecosystem, this addition seemed like an ideal choice. The package included an Outdoor 4 Blink camera, a floodlight, and a Sync Module for wireless connectivity. Setting it up was a breeze. After unboxing, I simply inserted the lithium batteries, integrated the camera with my existing Blink app, and it was ready. It's worth mentioning that I already had a Blink Sync Module 2 in place, which greatly simplified the process. Mounting the system was straightforward. The kit included mounting hardware, a ladder and a drill were all I needed to secure the base-plate, upon which the flood light fixture was easily attached. The process is simple for those familiar with basic home maintenance. The Blink app is intuitive and user-friendly, offering various settings for brightness, video recording length, and more. It allows for easy customization and navigation through recorded videos. The system's component nature – with the floodlight, camera, and Sync Module – provides a flexible and efficient setup. In terms of performance, the system is impressive. It offers HD quality video, dynamic infrared vision for night use, and a 700 Lumens LED floodlight by Beams. The motion detection feature is reliable, triggering alerts and activating the lights upon detection. Additionally, the two-way audio via the Blink app and voice control compatibility with Alexa enhance its utility. Overall, this Blink system stands out for its long-lasting battery life, wire-free setup, and excellent video quality both during day and night. It's an integrated solution that blends security and convenience, especially beneficial for homes like ours. I highly recommend it for its flawless operation, user-friendly interface, and the peace of mind it brings to our household.

The Blink outdoor 4 battery-powered security camera and spotlight is an easy to setup and easy to install security solution that is great for areas that you need light and security but may not have access to an electrical plug. Setup requires that you download the Blink app and sign in or create a link account. By creating your account, you will receive a complimentary thirty day trial that increases the functionality of the blink camera and spotlight. You will need to add your camera to the blink app, but not until you have synced the Blink sync 2 module. Once the module is connected to the app and to your wifi, then you can add the camera and the spotlight by simply scanning the QR codes that are stamped onto each device. Once you have linked everything to the app, then you can locate the perfect place to install you camera and spotlight combo. There are a number of settings in the app that you can play with to fine tune how your Blink camera operates and I am sure I haven't gone through all of them, but I am satified that my system works the way I want it to. I have set various times that my Blink camera will disarm and times it will rearm, based mainly on when my family is most active in that area. This prevents it from recording videos when not needed and I am sure it will save on battery usage. The Bling camera claims up to 2 years on the included batteries, but like anything else, that is based on usage. The Blink sync module, actually came with its own power adapter. This is one of the very few devices I have gotten lately that actuall includes this plug. I think that is a nice touch. Video quality is very good. Trigger time is exceptional and the range is also very good. Overall, the camera does what it says it does and wasn't too stressful getting it going.

I received the Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera about a week ago and so far, it has performed flawlessly. The floodlight brightness is good and the video quality from the camera is also good. The floodlight camera package comes with a Sync Module, a mounting kit, and batteries for the camera and the floodlight. The camera just snaps and plugs into the floodlight. I mounted the floodlight camera to the siding on the back of my house with the included siding clip which doesn’t require you to drill holes in the siding to mount it. I already had a couple other Blink cameras and a sync module, but I setup the floodlight camera and included sync module as a separate system in the Blink app. This allowed me to setup the floodlight camera on a different schedule from my other Blink cameras. There are several customizable options within the Blink app to include motion sensitivity, camera video quality, floodlight brightness, and more. The default floodlight brightness in the Blink app is 50% and I adjusted it to 100% that made a huge difference in the brightness of the floodlight. The only other setting that I adjusted from the defaults was motion sensitivity from the default of 5 up a couple of notches to 7. Other than those couple of adjustments, it was pretty much plug-and-play and I am very pleased with the product. No complaints…excellent…highly recommended.

Being that our home is a bit on the older side, we had no existing floodlight in the front of our house. I had been wanting to place a floodlight camera in the front, but I haven't had the chance to run new wiring for a hardwires system. When I saw that Blink had this battery powered security floodlights, I decided to give it a try. I'll have to start with a really big negative for me because it really annoyed me. I really dislike the fact that there are no instructions on how to put this camera system together. The QR code was a paint because it didn't give me the information that I needed. Please start including better instructions for these devices. The actual camera is battery powered. I thought that this thing got its juice from the f D sized batteries (being that there is a wire that goes to the camera from the floodlight), but it doesn't. It snaps into place once the batteries are installed. Aside from that, the Blink - Outdoor 4 is an interesting, yet handy, system. I didn't have to run any new electrical to finally have a floodlight security system on the front of my home. The only biggest downside I have seen is that this is powered by four, non-rechargeable, D-sized batteries. This means that you really want to have your Blink - Outdoor 4 set so that it only comes on in areas you are looking to have secured. Otherwise you will run through those batteries really quickly. The Blink - Outdoor 4 is really easy to mount, as you get the hardware that you need. the mounting base is removable, so use that by itself as a template. I used a small leveling tool to ensure that the camera was mounted as straight as possible. Once that is mounted, twist the Blink - Outdoor 4 onto the mount and you are all set to go. The light output is great for a battery powered floodlight. I really wish that this was a rechargeable system, as it will be a pain to constantly have to change the batteries out on the system. Overall, if you want a floodlight security system and have no existing outlet, the Blink - Outdoor 4 is a good option.

So I needed a floodlight by the rear of my house, and i do not like to hardwire if I do not have to...so this is the one to use. Flood lights are really a must if you own a home, or have an area that is always dark. I have an area by my back gate, and there are no lights there. So going wireless in this area is a must, but finding the right light is very hard for a good price. This is where this setup comes in to play. It's not as big as other floodlights I have at my home, but that is a good thing. Also, this one is black...so it blends in great. The light itself is bright enough to light up the area in question, so it works great. It's not the brightest light you will see for something like this, but it will work. The camera is just another great bonus with this setup as well. I have a camera on my front floodlight, and now this one. The quality is not super duper impressive, but it will give you some peace of mind. I didn't think it would be high resolution anyway, and didn't really need it to be. Setup is easy, just use the app. I have 5 others blink cameras, so this is just an add on for me. For the price, it's great. Wireless camera, and floodlight. What more could you ask for.

The Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera system is totally wireless and solves the problem of needing to hardwire components or be located near an electrical outlet. I initially wanted to install this on the front of my garage but my brick exterior put the task above my grade-level. I went online to the Blink website to review installation instructions and decided to install under the eave over my back deck where I had a pre-existing motion sensor floodlight but no camera. I currently use Blink cameras and the Blink Home Monitor App with a subscription to the Plus Plan to monitor them, so this addition to my system was very simple. This setup includes the mounting hardware, the mount with 2-700 lumen LED lights, the Blink Outdoor 4 add-on camera, the sync module 2 local video storage hub with USB cable and power adapter, and 4 size-D alkaline and 2-AA lithium batteries (not rechargeable but advertised to provide up to two years of battery life dependent on use). The sync module also requires a USB flash drive that is not included to store video if you do not purchase a Blink monitoring subscription (available through Amazon). I didn’t install the included sync module since I already had one in use. The mounting plate fit perfectly in the predrilled location of my previous floodlight and I used the screws that I removed instead of the ones that were included. I then checked to see how easily the mount attached-it slid and clicked in place with no issues. The floodlight seemed a bit heavy and it’s because the 4-D batteries come preinstalled. It slides off and on the mounting plate when you depress a very flimsy plastic tab. I really think given the weight of the floodlights-even before I attached the camera that it may not stand up to harsh weather conditions or even the passage of time. Even though this entire system is made of plastic the mounting plate could stand to be more reinforced. Also included is a shiny metallic-like vinyl siding hook for no-drill installation on a house with siding. I did not use this but it seemed a bit insubstantial as well. The back cover twists off allowing you access to the battery compartment and you push down the tabs to expose the batteries and then you can remove the plastic tab preventing the batteries from operating. Heads up-you have to add the camera to your Blink account before attaching it to the floodlight and mounting it or you will be taking it apart later to do so. With the Blink Home Monitor App installed I just had to tap the + symbol in the top right corner, select the device I was adding (which was the Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera), and the app prompted me on how to set up the floodlight portion of the system. It then asked if the Blink Outdoor 4 camera included was already added to my account. It was not, so I clicked to add the camera. It prompted me to scan the QR code inside the battery compartment of the camera and then proceeded to walk me through the setup. The USB cover of the camera has to be off to allow you to connect it to the cord on the floodlight (save it because you need to replace it to keep the camera weather-resistant if you choose to use the camera separately at a later date). When you connect them, the floodlight automatically connects to the Blink App and all that is left is to snap the camera onto the swivel neck on the mount. I love that the lights move independently and can be pointed in different directions allowing you to illuminate whatever you need to. The camera also swivels so you can aim it more precisely. The 700 lumen LEDs are not as bright as the floodlight that I removed but after a bit of adjustment they also do not illuminate my neighbor’s windows when they are triggered (either manually via the app or by the motion-detection system). The video is extremely clear in the daytime and clear at night and the live feed loads quickly on the app. The two-way audio is clear despite occasional background static that I hear but cannot pinpoint the source of. The app is very user friendly and allows you to personalize the camera and lighting settings as well as the notifications that you receive. The system is affordable and a great option for installing where no external power source is available and eliminates the need to conceal unsightly cables. Blink offers many different components (cameras-both full-size and mini/indoor and outdoor, doorbell cameras, and floodlights) that can be easily added to your system. I would definitely recommend this floodlight system and the Blink line of devices for anyone looking for an affordable, easy to install and use home security set-up.

The Blink - Outdoor 4 Battery-Powered 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight was a convenient addition to my existing Blink system. Setting it up was a breeze, seamlessly integrating it into my current setup without any complications. The simplicity of adding this camera to my existing system was a definite plus. One standout feature is its wireless functionality, which adds to its convenience. The absence of wires eliminates the hassle of installation and provides flexibility in camera placement, a major advantage in security systems. The floodlight feature is impressive, delivering a bright illumination that performs exactly as expected. It adds an extra layer of security and visibility to the monitored area, enhancing the camera's capabilities. Regarding its performance, this new Blink camera does offer slight improvements over the previous generation. However, the upgrades aren't significant enough to warrant a major overhaul. It's a step forward but I certainly wouldn’t recommend upgrading your existing Blink camera for these. For individuals already invested in the Blink ecosystem, this camera complements the existing setup nicely. However, for newcomers or those not already using Blink, it might not stand out as a groundbreaking addition. In conclusion, the Blink - Outdoor 4 Battery-Powered 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight is a commendable addition to the Blink lineup. It delivers the expected functionality, especially for existing Blink users looking to expand their system.
