Too sensitive or not sensitive enough

It’s either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. There is no in-between that works for me. There also seems to be a lag when it records too. Sometimes when it picks up the motion, the object is already gone.

In my case, I placed it on the door of an apartment and the battery didn't last 30 days.
