Can be installed wireless or wired so it works with standard doorbell chimes. Either way you get notified via app.

The only downside is it eats batteries, but it's not like you need a ladder to change them.

Posted .Hello Dave! Thanks so much for your review and feedback! One thing you can try to improve on your experience even further is, to make some subtle adjustments to your Motion Settings. You can find these by going into the Blink smartphone app, tapping the 3 dots in the lower right of your doorbell, tap Device Settings, and then tap Motion Settings. In this menu, you can increase or decrease the motion sensitivity and even adjust your motion zones directly. To resolve the issue with your camera going off every time a car drives by, you can gray out the blocks that are in the street. This way only the areas you want motion alerts from will trigger.
