I brought my brother one as well and he loves it

The picture clarity and way better and actaully goes off with only a 2 second delay versus the ring which was a 10-15 second delay. The night vision is also very clear.

If the batteries are charged for the unwired system, then the motion detection and alerts are dependable.

I just don’t like that there’s a 3-5 second delay to record after catching movement. I was looking for something instant. This was not it. I have all the settings to start recording, but it does not until 3-5 seconds after. The person coming up to my door is already at my door by the time it detects said person and alerts me. And I have a fairly short driveway.

Your Blink Doorbell captures motion based on either passive infrared (PIR) or pixel difference analysis (PDA). Your camera's motion sensitivity setting adjusts how much input it takes to send you a notification. Low sensitivity is less responsive, so a larger amount of heat or motion is needed to cause a notification. The highest setting may cause alerts from blowing leaves or even shadows. Is the Doorbell's motion detection setting on or off? If this is off, your device will not detect motion, and motion notifications will not be sent to your mobile device. On your camera's thumbnail, tap "More." This menu displays whether motion detection is on or off. If motion detection is off, tap the motion detection button to turn it on. You can also check your camera's Device Settings > Motion Settings to see if motion detection is turned on. I hope this information is helpful. You are able to monitor whoever is coming up to your door any time of the day. You get notifications every time and when people ring the doorbell. One of my favorite parts is that this camera can withstand high heat temperatures.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Its ok i think i like the ring better it wont go off if there is a screen on the window and its in the perfect place to vatch the kids who have been throwing rocks but we know who are throwing the rocks and there mom is on the crazy side and i moved theblinked door bell into the window in my sons window to catch the kids and it stopped for a day or to but it started up at again and it hasnt send my phone off but it does take the video of them
