Would Reorder Blink Doorbell

It did take a while to install ! But when my dad and I contacted blink they where able to help us out ! The quality of the camera is excellent!

It takes forever for it to turn on and connect to the wifi, then to the Blink server and start recording. Will miss people on the porch 5 feet away from the camera in full view. It misses way too much and it takes forever to connect to it for a Live view.

You've correctly noted that the device uses battery power as a backup even when wired - this is designed as a failsafe feature. However, the connection and recording delays you're experiencing are not normal and should be addressed. A few potential solutions:
Check your WiFi signal strength at the doorbell location (we recommend at least -65dBm)
If possible, position your router closer to the doorbell or consider a WiFi extender
Ensure your Sync Module 2 is optimally placed between your router and doorbell
Update to the latest firmware version

So that all motion and doorbell will get detected. Works with alexa seamless. Cons: If you don’t have subscription live camera can be seen only within 60 seconds of alert.

This camera is good quality and easy to install with the convince of battery or wired. The only downfall is the lagtime in the app causing us to be notified when someone is approaching however when you go to view them the loading causes you to miss whoever is at the door so you can not speak with them live.

Connection is not the greatest, it’s hard to watch “live” once someone rings on the door, by the time it finally loads, no one is there anymore. My wife used to be an online teacher so we have fast speed internet so it’s not an internet issue. Doorbell is maybe 15ft away from modem. Spend maybe 50-100 more and get a way better product.
