    It will not alert you to motion unless it’s armed. It is wired but still uses batteries. I got it on sale otherwise I’d take another star off. I think they will come out with a better one soon.

    This is a very good camera for the price. The motion detector works very well. There are plenty of motion settings and a grid that allows you to block off areas that you do not want covered by the motion detector. The Sync module accepts up to a 256 GB flash drive for storage. The sync module allows additional cameras to be linked.
