This doorbell is a great addition to my blink system, would highly recommend this to anyone looking into a camera doorbell,

Great purchase video is very clear and the armed mode works great and alerts you quickly

I was looking specifically for an all- or mostly- white video bell, but I’m also thrifty, so I wanted local the storage option. Blink was on super Black Friday sale, so gave it a try. Immediately I had some mixed feelings: 1) solid build and feel, nice looks. 2) works with existing mechanical chime (1950s) and I could even manipulate length of the chiming. 3) App was intuitive. 4) mounting unnecessarily finicky; sliced my knuckle open trying to force the device down into the track, when it refused and gave out. 5) because couldn’t get to “click” (many many tries), not completely weatherproof and easy for a burglar to pop off if they so wanted. 6) Module requirement inconvenient, but whatever. After living with it for 4 weeks, experiencing many issues (below), having it and module replaced for free, then still experiencing all the same issues, and finally comparing directly to a competitor, I conclude the Blink doorbell is simply not ready for prime time: 7) Video resolution subpar and audio is absolutely terrible. Intermittent high pitched warbling/interference, like a freight train riding its brakes, pervaded every video. Audio would cut out altogether for seconds at a time. 8) Live video feed took 10 or more seconds to pull up, even if I were at home on the same network. Made it impossible to catch anyone for two-way talk. 9) clips very rarely recorded for the time I had set. Set to 20, 25, 30- didn’t matter; only recorded people (important) for a few seconds but would give me a car going by plus 28 seconds of nothing. This was easily its most damning failure. 10) No previewing in notifications list like with my other camera (much older tech from Costco). 11) any doorbell press interrupted recording so would not get a full video. 12) awful “Continue?” Prompt in live feed which didnt respond if phone was landscape 13) significant halo effect blurred the night vision 14) zones did not work. Had street blocked out, but still recorded cars anyway if sensitivity was anything above a 5 (out of 9). 15) low battery alert after only 3.5 weeks. Mind you, this was all on the trial premium subscription, and the same results observed on two brand new sets of the doorbell+module. Theoretically the “performance” would get even worse once off the trial and shifted to local (but outdated) USB-A. As for Blink support: the team once effectively handled my call, a few times made me wait 15 or so minutes only for me to hear “all agents busy, please try again later, goodbye! *CLICK*,” and once an agent answered but then hung up on me before I finished my first sentence. Mixed but mostly frustrating bag there. I then bought a Nest Doorbell (battery) to make sure I wasn’t shortchanging the Blink. In a direct comparison—same location, network (and 2.4 band), direct wiring, etc etc—no issues AT ALL with the Nest. Feed comes up right away, videos clearer, and clips actually record for more than a few seconds, and capture the entire even from walk-up to walk-away… you know, like they’re supposed to. It is a real shame this product didn’t deliver basic functionality enough to be worth even the Black Friday price that I paid.

I was expecting better video quality... even when I set it to the highest quality, the camera doesn't have a clear image in real time. Easy to install/use and awesome customer support.

Great doorbell for the price, the camera resolution day and night and the two way communication are neat. Easy installation, even after changing my old chime transformer, in order to support the new chime. I highly recommend it.

Works great. Nice clear wide angle recordings. Cheaper RING alternative. Easy to install. Definitely get the sync Module if you want to save your recordings (you'll need a thumb drive) and not pay Amazon the subscription fee.

Good camera. Make sure and use good lithium batteries or you will be changing them constantly.

This camera is super easy to set up and very effective. You can even connect it to your echo to play a doorbell chime instead of having to install one.

Great product, A must have for home security. Easy to use.

Works well. Took sync module awhile to work with added usb drive. So do not know if Blink stopping because they want you to pay for service after 30 day free trial of their WiFi based storage for video service.

Blink doorbell was easy to install,wired mine in to existing doorbell,was easy per instructions,I am satisfied with camera gives me piece of mind when away.

This camera/doorbell allow us to see what we would otherwise not see. I have had one package stolen, I had this Blink camera installed and no more packages have walked off.

I admit, I was skeptical. Amazon has a Ring doorbell now? I love it. It delivers. It is definitely worth the price, and worth the price of subscription. a little bit of a hassle to set up, but as with all of this "connected home" there always is. nothing I didn't go through already with my google nest or smart bulbs. the camera provides a clear and great picture. super angle as well. I have a small lot and my whole front yard plus drive fits in one shot. It has been up for a month and a half and my batteries are still showing "ok", and that is with activation about 10-15 times a day at least. Check your settings (as in other reviews), and play with what works, and make sure you use the RIGHT batteries!! Lithium. good luck and enjoy the show!

The Blink Doorbell and Sync Module are easy to install and setup on your smart phone. The doorbell dan either be used in wireless mode or wired mode (replacing your wired doorbell push button). The only thing I don't like is the requirement to push the video button on the app t-the video feed. My other doorbell that I have on a different property, show the video feed whenever you open the app.

Great video doorbell, especially if you don't want to pay for cloud monitoring. You receive notifications to you phone and view recordings on your own via the sync module. Easy to install and connect to Sync Module2. I use them at my home and has recommended and installed at other family and friend's home.

I loved the Blink doorbell so much that I invested in the outdoor cameras as well. They're all super easy to install and use. The app feature lets me view the cameras at any time, and I can even speak through both the doorbell and the outdoor cameras. It's a fantastic feature to have. 10/10 would buy again.
